The Steinbeck Museum was a wonderful literary stop in Salinas. We also visited the Steinbeck House…read moredown the street, which made the experience feel more complete. As a tribute to Steinbeck and his connection to the area, the museum was thoughtful, engaging, and well worth the visit. I especially enjoyed the quirky gift shop, always a bonus when a museum shop has personality. The drive into Salinas was also unexpectedly lovely, with so many fields and vegetables growing. It gave the whole visit a strong sense of place and helped connect the landscape to Steinbeck's writing. A great stop for literature lovers, history fans, or anyone looking for something meaningful to do in the area.

Unfortunately, reading his books wasn't part of my high school English curriculum; however, my interest in his works was rekindled by visiting this amazing facility! I spent at least a couple hours meandering through the exhibit, beginning with a short film telling the story of his life. It was fascinating to learn how John Steinbeck was both shaped by his hometown, and how much influence he had on the literary landscape during his lifetime. There is so much to look at and discover here! If you're a book nerd, whether a Steinbeck fan or novice like me, check this place out. Ticket prices are reasonable, and they offer discount for locals, veterans, and youth, or if you become a member. I can't wait to visit his childhood home next!

That alone was well worth it. The observatory too was neat. We happened to be campng there the night of the month they open it up. There was a nice video presenation (nothing you would not see on the discorvery channel but cool never the less), a QA with the on site volunteer and then they let the guests look through the various telescopes which were focused on the moons of Jupiter. They have one big honkin (about the size of a VW Bug) telescope but the volunteers also had about 1/2 dozen (6 if you must) other telescopes set up as well, so the kids were able to take a little more time on those. For anyone into astronomy it would be a must. Probably pretty entertaining for almost any 7 to 11 year old kid. Side note, the drive up has some sharp turns. My mothe rmade it up with a trailer on her truck but it was a bit hairy. The camp ground there is usable, but nothing too special. It was dry when we were there so we were not allowed to have a camp fire :(

The view is just so amazing. Its a little walk up to observatory so make sure you layer yourself. Its free bug there is a donation box. There are other people with other telescopes out that let you see things. I saw the milky way which is a haze. Its cool. The observatory itself is cool. The roof gets pushed off or rolls off. This is 100% a place everyone needs to check out at least once in their life.

After being told many times that the plans would be submitted by a specific date, Belinda Taluban completely stopped responding to any communication from us. I went to her office in person and she lied to me again stating the work would be completed within a week (this was in July). At this point, we are out many thousands of dollars from the delay and wasted time, and we are not sure what to do. The County continues to give us deadlines that can only be met by the submission of the engineering plans. We are changing this review to 1 star and will reassess if the project is ever completed by Taluban Engineering. Notably, when she was communicating, she repeatedly expressed how busy she was. In hindsight, she should not have taken on our project and we would have found another engineer, saving us a lot of stress. We did have a positive initial impression of her and she seemed very capable and motivated at the time. --------------- Belinda is helping us work through a project. We were feeling completely lost until she took us on as clients. She quickly developed a plan to help move our project forward.

I've called/emailed for the last month and left messages and they are not even calling back at all. I don't understand a business like this can still be open. I got an advised from my bank as they cashed my check to submit a report to BBB and file a report through the local police department for a SCAM. I gave them so many chances to call and respond with no luck. I called today and I will give them until noon to respond.

I would blame the issue with my niece 15era dress on the manufacture, but why would that be the customers fault. The shop owner should address that to them and work something out with the customer . Ordered the dress 5 months ago the event is in 10 days and the dress was nothing like what we agreed on . Save your self money and buy it on Amazon these dresses come straight from DHGate with a fowl smell like fish the gems were plastic the stitching was sticking out the color and fabric were off. The employee tried to salvage the situation, but it was to late they went and bought rhinestones at Michelle's, but that wasn't going to fix the disaster of dress. May I also add they added an additional cost to customize it . So here we are less than 10 days away and the dress isn't done . We went to ask for a refund of what we had given towards the dress and the owner had the audacity to have her employee call us back and offer us credit towards a future purchase ( why would I even step foot in this shop again) she is unethical and not so much for the money I lost but because of the time and stress this caused .People will hopefully think twice about buying here . We lost additional money and a deposit from photo shoot because the dress wasn't ready . So for anyone thinking of going here "KEEP AWAY"... I now have to go look for another dress else where .. I will also post this in Spanish .. I have never been so disappointed and unsatisfied with a business like I am with this one.

Why even bother ordering a BM dress that's too small? Are you serious?
