That was THE GAME CHANGER. She went above and beyond to solve all MY issues. Virginia is living proof that you don't have to get lost in the system. My interview was going great until I mentioned I was Catholic, the ladies that interviewed me gave me a weird look and then said that my strong religious beliefs didn't aline with the position. They then had the audacity to ask me if I would volunteer with no pay. So basically my religion was an issue for me to get paid an hourly wage but it was okay if my services were free. So disappointing because until then I always felt positive about the Salvation Army. I know for a fact, that this park has multiple play structures and multiple slides. After further investigation, I was able to confirm that there are, in fact, swing sets available for children to swing on. Splinter Warning!!: I must mention that this park has wood chips instead of sand under the play structures. This is a splinter waiting to happen so make sure you bring medical supplies if you or your family are splinter sensitive (SS). There is a parking lot adjacent to this park that I assume is the location they want people to park when visiting the park. I also saw baseball fields behind this park. Not sure what they are used for, I will look into this and update everyone when I find out more information.

There is a spinner to dry your suit. The pool itself is 25 yards wide and has 12 lanes. There are four shallow lanes for people who are doing wading work. There is an advanced class that takes up four lanes at noon so it can get crowded for everyone else at that time. Water aerobics are in the early morning and other lanes can get crowded at that time as well. But the lanes are wide so doubling is not usually a problem.

There are nice shaded bleacher areas, swim lanes, a kid's pool with a water slide, a deeper pool (with an obstacle course), and plenty of lifeguards on duty.
