Took my Honda foreman to them electronic shift not working. Several days later it was fixed thats what they said, they charged me $333 took it home IT WAS NOT FIXED called them "bring it back its on us" i did few days later they called said its partially fixed. Charged me $463 brought it home IT WAS NOT FIXED. Called them for a price adjustment. I was willing to pay for parts " ." We do not refund labor costs." Warning about Cernic's Cycle World - Johnstown, PA Had one of the worst experiences ever with their service department. All I needed was my Ski‑Doo key reprogrammed - a 10‑minute job. Instead, I had to ask if they even had the BUDS program, because Paul in service acted completely clueless and couldn't give me a straight answer. For a dealership that sells these machines, there's absolutely no excuse for not being able to take care of such a simple task for a customer. Emailed and called multiple times before reaching anyone. Finally when I did speak to a salesman, his quoted price was several thousand over what the advertised price was on their website. Don't be fooled by their low list prices online. They've got a lot of hidden fees by the time you'd get a machine out the door. read more

Sales department is terrible. They tack on so many fees purely as profit. I'm not even talking about the standard "docs/titling/processing/assembly fee". I get that and I'm willing to give any dealer something for that. But Cernics adds an additional $2k+shipping! Then Jason had the gall to honestly reply to my question why, that they have to because "they don't make enough profit from the factory pricing." If that profit isn't enough, you're in the wrong business. Very odd that it is necessary considering I drove to a different Can-Am dealer that not only did not charge that extra $2k, but they also didn't charge shipping. As a matter of fact, of the 10 Can-Am dealers within 100 miles of Johnstown, Cernic's was by far the highest quote of them all. Service side is fine. Never had an issue with them. read more

I've so far bought a scooter and a bike here. I got zero pressure and good information from Eric and Jason. They were smooth and transparent about terms, making the purchases quick and hassle-free. As a new rider, I had a lot of questions, and the sales and service teams were always helpful, never condescending. They do have a good inventory, with plenty of selections in most ranges. Steer clear. They wanted to charge me $50 to remount a tire because I didn't buy the tire from them. The service writer then told me that their "standard rate" is $35. I told them I'll take it somewhere else; since, they obviously didn't want my business. All my local biker friends in this area have always advised me to stay away from Cernics, but up until now, I've only had my inspections done there; and until now, I didn't have a problem with them. But, after reading all the negative reviews, and considering my friends advice, I'm glad I got out of that place cheap. The reviews suggest that they are quite the rip-off, subpar shop. read more

UPDATE !!!! finally got my side by side back not fixed smells of oil and squeak in the rear is still there and now a broken floor pan due to them moving it with a forklift they did give me a new floor pan but insist that it has to be fixed there after i said no they where not touching it again they refused to pay another shop to fix it i filed a claim with BBB today after giving them the opportunity to let me take this somewhere else. i will find someone else to finish the repairs that they couldnt figure out but i highly recommend you start with another shop for your recreational needs because this place is less than a one star rated facility read more

It's taken over two weeks to mount a tire. I took them the tire and wheel, and they initially gave me an estimate of 1 week, which is ridiculous. I called and they said they had to order a tube, which they said was probably there and waiting to get unboxed. That was at the 1 week deadline. It's now been two weeks, and I have yet to hear from them. Take your bike somewhere else. read more

Cernic's gets 5 stars from me for two reasons: inventory, and overall sales experience. In the middle of the pandemic, when nobody could get any new bikes, Cernic's still had a great inventory, including even some of the newer models. They even had a new Yamaha 2020 WR250R in 2021, which I jumped all over when I found it because that model was discontinued in 2020. Sadly it meant I had to pay full price, but I can't blame Cernic's for that. That's what happens when a bike is very rare and in high demand in the middle of a pandemic. It's just economics. If I didn't buy it, there would have been some other person who would have paid full price. What made me extremely happy was that Cernic's was even able to DELIVER the bike to me, even though I live about a 45 min. drive from there. Kudos to Eric, my salesman, who delivered the bike himself using his pickup truck, for a small fee. I was so thankful for that!! I hadn't been on a bike for 30 years and riding a bike home 35-40 miles on unfamiliar roads with rusty skills is NOT a recipe for safety. Side note: Eric, and Cernic's, showed solid business ethics. When I requested a quote on the bike, some other guy came in later and tried to buy it out from under me, but Cernic's did not play his game (thankfully!). I was the one who contacted them about the bike first, so it was only right that they gave me first crack at it, which they did. THANK YOU Cernic's!! Called on a new 2021 kx 85 they had. Msrp is $4400 , on their website it's $4400, when I talked to salesman it became $5999!!!!! How can you justify that, they tell you set-up fee, shipping fee, and so on and so on. Well I drove an extra hour and bought the same dirt bike for $3959 out the door! Called multiple times since they opened 9am ,waited 2 hrs , was put on hold for over an hr no answer, left my contact info with multiple employees and also email no response, cycle trade still had bike listed called asked someone to see if they still had what I was looking for instock they told me they did so I drove 4 hrs to find out it was sold . Left my number and messages multiple times to discuss with salesmen omw there, owner was very rude in how he handled the situation .. would Not recommended very unprofessional. I contacted them 4 times about a Yamaha special they had and not one response from anyone.

I took my bike up to get a new rear tire on. They called just before noon, and said it was done. The mechanic took it for a ride and said the front brake was wicked, so he bled the front brakes. You really do not notice when you ride your bike, because you are use to it. It is so much better now, and he also adjusted the clutch. Cernic's exceeded my expectations. Thanks so much!! read more
