On 9/2 I emailed again and here it is 9/8 and I have not received a reply. It doesn't seem like chicago auto body (Alex Peterson) cares about their customers. Judging from reviews I have looked at they have taken advantage of almost half of their customers with no resolve. Nobody at this company will give their name, so you don't know who you are communicating with. The BBB has been receiving complaints since 2013 for this company.

In my fifty plus years of owning and having vehicles repaired i have never had what happened at Pep Boys done to me. Some how I had 4 lug nuts and bolts damaged and needed repair. it came to $124.79 which is about the cost of tire rotation and alignment. The shop gave me 4 lug nuts which they claim were damaged. i was able to put all 4 lug nuts on the vehicle without any problem. They are deceptive and seem to be more interested in making sure i will never use their service again. I would leave a zero but the rating system requires a star.

My Explorer was in need of the rear end to be rebuilt after 100,000 miles, as it started howling on a recent trip. I was expecting this not to be a cheap repair but with the expertise of SDL, they still made it reasonable and what I was expecting to pay. I also brought up a couple of small leaks on my transfer case and Phil's team included the repair as part of the initial quote! If you're looking for a repair shop to talk to you in unicorns in pixie dust, please get that out of your mind before you walk in the door as you will basically get a point blank description of what is wrong with your vehicle and what is needed for them to complete any service to your vehicle. Be prepared for direct and honest communication! Don't expect to get a trophy for showing up and bringing your car in for service! They will not refund you the paint job on any parts returned. I received a shipped painted bumper that was not painted professionally. The paint was cracked and caked in several places and the color was off. A professional did not paint my bumper!!! I waited nearly 21 days to get a crap product. Imagine being patient and waiting for a bumper so you can drive your car only to get a bad product that you have to return and hope to get a better one next time (Days and days to ship back...days and days to wait for another bumper that may not be any more good than the last...NO thank you!!!!!!! On with the actual bumper. The bumper is OEM but used and mine was warped and bent. OEM does not = nice and new like. I only write this review to warn others not to make the same mistake I did. I am out 175.00 bucks because they did a poor job and did me wrong. I could have used this money to pay for 5 dinners or Billy's diapers or bills or something useful. Shame on them!!! OEMBumpers.com Ordered bumper on March 18, hadn't received…read moreany information for three weeks, my wife called and they said that they were ready to ship, 10 days later we are called with the request for $55 dollars more due to the color being a pearl (although in the original order we included VIN and Color "pearl white") we paid the extra $55 and I demanded a manager call me, but no one did. Two weeks later I called and asked where my bumper was and they said it should be there, I again asked to have a manager call me back, when I didn't get a call back, I called again the next day and the receptionist told me to call back in an hour and ask to talk to "Peter" so I did, but Peter was in the warehouse and I was told that he would call me back, which he never did. On April 30 ( more than 6 weeks after I ordered) I received my bumper, the paint was close but not exact, their was a dimpling or orange peel texture throughout the paint and in two areas (one on each side) the paint was completely scraped off and the corner had been rounded off (as if it had been dragged). The bumper cover now has more flaws in it than my original one, which has been cracked, yet is barely noticeable when on the car. The customer service from your company has been absolutely horrible and I am at a loss as to what to do about my bumper cover. I am seriously debating having it repaired and sending you guys the bill. When I picked up the bumper I inspected the packing and nothing was rubbed through or damaged, which leads me to believe the damage occurred at your facility and it still was shipped. Now I have a bumper cover that is far below standard of what I paid for. Someone needs to call me and make this right. I am not happy with what I received from your company. Today is May 3 and we will see how long it takes for you to get back with me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, THE PART WAS DAMAGED AND STILL NO ONE RESPONDS AFTER THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY. Today is May 7th and still no phone call. I asked him if I bought a battery would someone help me install it- he looked under my hood and said Yep, I'll do it for you right now. He told me exactly which battery I needed and put it in for me.
