Classic Mojito and Mango Mojito ($21 MXN)

This is probably the best place for cheap eats in Playa del Carmen especially if you don't want to get out of the beach and 5th Avenue zone!. All their drinks and food is $21 MXN any item including Whisky/Mezcal/Tequila/Micheladas/Clamato The service was nice and quick..their food menu was just only in spanish but they do have servers who speaks English if you don't understand the menu and clearly takes their time to explain which is what! Had 2 tacos, french fries and 2 drinks The bill came to $105MXN pesos .. aka $7.50CAD Definitely going back again when and if needed to have a quick bite and refreshing drink! Gotta try their Micheladas for sure.. and/or margarita!

The service is slow, but it's a fun place. We sat upstairs so we got a good breeze. The music was modern rock and it was jamming. E we just got drinks because of the slow service

So much for the name "cervecería " only has two types of beers. Ambiance is ok. Food is good. There's better places

The lovely lady that was working the bar whose name we both already forgot was the warmest, most enthusiastic and positive person you could ever meet! She smiled so much it almost made MY cheeks hurt! She sang along with every song that came on! We had the nachos con res the first visit, and a few of their IPA beers. My favorite was the Mosaic IPA. EXCELLENT beer! The nachos were fantastic, but the two condiments that came with them were REALLY hot!! Consider yourself warned! Also had a freshly made Don Julio Margarita! One of the days, the bar was closed because they were having mechanical issues with the refrigeration system. But the next day we went back and had beef tacos and some more IPA. Again, this lady just made the place vibrant and cheerful. On our final day, we went back and there was a guy working there. This guy never smiled. He was low energy and really should not be working in a position where he deals with the public. Because of his unfriendly demeanor we decided to just have one beer each and go on with our day. Since the order was so small, we decided to just pay cash. This guy tipped himself GENEROUSLY! Let's put it this way. The tacos and I think 5-6 beers cost $53US. He charged us $20US for two beers!! Either way, we had a fantastic vacation, and we will be back as soon as possible!!

The service is quick, the prices are incredibly reasonable, and the food is consistently delicious. Before your meal even arrives, you're served a plate of fresh radishes, cucumber, and lime wedges, plus a selection of toppings including tomatoes, onions, and both a green and red salsa. Unfortunately this location didn't give us the cactus like the other locations did. The red salsa was my favourite, it paired perfectly with the tacos and had just the right amount of heat and flavour. The standout for me was the al pastor taco. The meat was incredibly flavourful with crispy edges, a smoky char, and the perfect balance of savoury spice and sweet pineapple. It was easily one of the best al pastor tacos I had in Playa del Carmen. I also tried the sirloin taco and the chicken breast plate, both of which were excellent. The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, and the quality was impressive, especially for the price. El Fogón absolutely lived up to the hype. If you're looking for authentic, delicious tacos and grilled meats that won't break the bank, this is a must visit. I loved it so much that I ended up eating at all three locations and every visit was just as good as the last.

My wife and I shared the chicken fajitas, which were excellent. My friend ordered the al pastor fajitas, and his wife had the pork chops--everyone agreed the food was delicious. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food with excellent service and a great atmosphere, I highly recommend El Fogón. We would definitely come back!
