Anaretto Coloda

We visited several places in Cozumel and this was my favorite. Right across from the water, mostly outdoor seating, live music starting at 8, very nice staff and prompt service. The food was delicious and lots of options on the menu. I asked the bartender to make me a frozen Amaretto Colada with not to much alcohol and he made it exactly how I like it and it was huge! There was a local guy eating there and he said he goes there every night. I can see why. It's a very casual, friendly place with great food and good prices!

Really good spot on the island. Stopped here for lunch and service was fast and efficient. The food was tasty and the view was great. Definitely worth checking out!

They have great staff who want to make you happy with outdoor and indoor seating. We sat at a corner table outside, with a view of the water. It's on a busy street, so I wouldn't recommend it for small children (sit indoors instead). I had a margarita, which I first thought was expensive but it ended up being very strong. Then, my husband and I shared the fajitas, getting the steak and shrimp combo. Ngl, the portion size was small for the price, but they were tasty. The bathrooms were very clean, which was a nice change in Cozumel. We'd come back!

strawberry daiquiri is yummy!!

Yummy! Fun and unique place, the drinks are HUGE!!! Served over a plate due to melting from how big they are. Got the pina colada and Miami vice , so yummy! Strong and did the trick! They have to go cups as well so if you can't finish it, you can take it with you when you leave, def a place to go when coming through Cozumel

Pretty nice! Went here on my visit to Mexico and was not disappointed! The view is beautiful of the ocean and pier. The tables are clean and restaurant is very nicely decorated. The workers are very quick with refills and patient. The food overall was very tasty and was just like the description on the menu.

Great little place in downtown with a view of the water. Situated at a corner location, we dined outside. it was fun to watch the madness go by on the Main Street. The service & food were great and we had a really fun time! Also of note was the cleanliness of both the restaurant itself & the bathrooms. (A true plus in Cozumel!) This little gem is definitely on our radar for our next cruise stop in April!

The Thirsty Cougar was quite a pleasant surprise. I intended to go to another restaurant, but it was at the far end of the island and the cab fare was $80 round trip. I walked along downtown and carefully assessed each restaurant, discounting the usuals... Carlos and Charlies, Senior Frogs, Hooters, etc. Several restaurants looked promising, but they were not busy. The Thirsty Cougar was very busy, so I sat at the bar and ordered lunch. I ordered the blackened fish platter, and it was exquisite. The fish was cooked to perfection and the spices were not too strong. The vegetables tasted as if they were picked this morning, and the rice was perfect as well. The accompanying sauce complimented each item. It was somewhat fruit based I supposed but went well with everything. At $14 USD, this was better than specialty dining on the ship.

Love this place for a fresh, upscale cocktail. Our drinks were made right in front of us and were delicious. We will make this a Cancun must stop when we are back!

One of the best margaritas I've had in a really long time!! The atmosphere is great and the service was awesome!

We stopped for amazing frozen drinks while en route to dinner elsewhere. The staff was accommodating and made mine with rum instead of tequila (which I don't like). Good service and great view!

Blackened chicken nachos

Stopped here to try their famous mountain top margaritas, stayed for the awesome vibes. This place was what I was hoping to expect. Cool music and cool interior. Our waiter, Ronaldo, was amazing! Excellent service and excellent attitude. After a few conversations with him, you would think you're talking to family, or your best friend. Really made us feel comfortable right when walking up to the restaurant. My first time visiting Cozumel, I didn't expect it to be so humid and hot. It's been rough enjoying anything outside, so why not sip on an ice cold frozen margarita that's as big as Mount Everest. Those margs are worth every penny. Ordered the two most popular drinks. Halfway finished, I was feeling pretty chilly, but overall, refreshed! Food was outstanding! I ordered Nachos with Blackened Chicken and Chicken wings. Both meals came with a mango-chipotle sauce.... OMG... one of the tastiest sauces I've ever had. A sweet sauce with a little kick. Who knew something so simple could be so good. I smothered that sauce all over the nachos and wings. That sauce with the well seasoned blackened chicken took it to the next level. We'll be back Cozumel, and especially to Thirsty Cougar!

The good and drinks here and delicious. Highly recommend the frozen pineapple margarita and fajitas. Grab a seat at the window and enjoy some great people watching or sunset if the timing is right. Definitely make this a stop when traveling g to Cozumel.

We tried a few of their mixed drinks, all are absolutely delicious, well made with quality ingredients. $10-$15 per drink is not cheap for Mexico, but this is a touristy town and the shitty cruise bars are all expensive. What we like the most is their mezcal quality and variety , which is what we came for. They have more "in the back" somewhere since the bar is really small. Food: meh. Not fresh nor exciting. Don't bother. Ambience: this is a really small area, 2 tables and a bar sitting. At max 10-12 people elbow to elbow. Cool decorations though, not at all touristy and "cheap" like most of Cozumel bar scene. We really enjoyed our visit. Service: we came on a Friday early afternoon and there was only one other tourist group. The bartender was great! Really young (20 yo!!!!), but apparently he has been doing the job for more than 5 years. (I guess the legal drinking age in Mexico is just a suggestion) Overall this was one of the highlight of our visit. Will come back here again if we are ever in the area.

The selection of agave based liquor was immense and Israel was a wealth of knowledge. I tried at least 8 different agave products. Unfortunately we had eaten before we came but did try the traditional snacks (I.e, bugs) with guacamole and the coconut ice cream which was amazing.

Almost…read more The restaurant is tucked away from the main tourist strip, and walking in feels like discovering a hidden garden. At night, it really comes alive. Lanterns hang from the trees casting a warm amber glow, everything feels soft and intimate, and a live band playing low-key jazz ties it all together. It's cozy, a little romantic, and honestly one of the better dining atmospheres on the island. Hard to say how it translates during the day, but at night, it works. The Food The food holds its own, even if the setting gets most of the attention. By Cozumel standards, it's some of the better food we had on the island. The menu leans creative but still approachable. We tried a bit of everything. The Mexican dumplings were fine. Not bad, not memorable. The trio of guacamoles was a hit, especially the one with fruit and bacon, which sounds questionable but works really well. The queso was exactly what you expect. Good, comforting, not trying to reinvent anything. The standout surprise was the tortillas. Freshly made and easily one of the best parts of the meal. They elevated everything they touched. The meat tacos were also very solid, well-seasoned and satisfying. Dessert was the house specialty, a cornbread-based dish with ice cream and toppings. Don't remember the name, but I remember finishing it, which says enough. Service Service was good across the board. Friendly, efficient, nothing over the top but nothing missing either. Overall Kondesa is worth visiting for the atmosphere alone, but the food makes sure it's not just a pretty place. Come for dinner, take your time, and enjoy the setting. It's one of those meals where the environment does half the work and the food handles the rest.
