Our family is so thankful to have found Vallejo Parent Nursery School (VPNS). The teachers and…read moredirectors are amazing: warm, welcoming, kind, tolerant, nonjudgmental, accepting, nurturing... they genuinely care about and enjoy what they do, and it shows! The days are filled with play, play, and more play - but it's through play that our child has grown and blossomed beyond belief. Her confidence, independence, and social skills are outstanding and we thank VPNS for that. We love the opportunity to be involved in our child's school experience if we choose; even as a professional educator myself, I've picked up countless techniques from participating alongside school staff that have helped our child and family thrive. We are already looking forward to the day when our youngest is old enough to attend, too! Thank you, VPNS!

So she sat there.. my thoughts are she will have to have a dirty bottom until she gets home. Since they do not help them. Along with there is no dividers in the bathroom toilets are right next to each other watching each other use the bathroom. I understand children don't see anything wrong. But they should be treated with respect and given space as well! That isn't treating them anything like that, having them allnout there like that isn't right. Also when my child was there he wasn't encouraged to join the group. He was left playing alone in a corner, this isn't why I brought him here and paid the high cost $$ just for him to do something he does at home. I brought him here to learn to be around other children is age. Learn to share and be part of a team. To help build confidence and build real friendship. This was not the school for us very disappointed!

Vallejo High School staff ROCKS!!!! I was recently the victim of cell phone theft :( However,…read morethanks to technology, and the amazing diligence of my husband, we were able to track the phone to Vallejo High School. We contacted Principal Clarence Isadore who immediately went into action. He and his amazing team tracked down the young person who we suspected had taken my phone, and retrieved it. this all took place within a 30 minute time frame. In fact, Principal Isadore told my husband and I to "get him some donuts and milk" and he would have my phone by the time we got back (did I mention that he is also hilarious?). We quickly and gratefully ran to the donuts shop, filled the order, and got back in time for Mr. Isadore to hand me the phone. I was amazed!!! Not only did he know exactly which student we were talking about by name, but he and his staff were able to call the student out of class, address the situation directly with this individual, and get my phone without incident. In addition to all this, the campus was clean, quiet ,and orderly with Principal Isadore watching over each student that walked his campus. I have two adult children that attended Vallejo High a few years ago, and it was so bad that I had to pull my daughter out in her junior year because of the constant violence, blatant sexual activity, and police presence on campus. What I saw today was a very different school from the one that I once knew. It was very refreshing to see the campus being maintained and monitored by someone who truly cares about the students, the school, and the city of Vallejo. Great job Principal Isadore. Thank you for all that you and your staff do for our kids and our city. And, a very sincere and grateful thank you for getting back my phone. You are a hero to us all.

We moved to Vallejo for the diversity but we left to get away from the schools. My child had a…read morehorrible experience. He was bullied and beaten up daily. The school did nothing to support my child and neglected to implement his IEP appropriately. Instead of supporting him in accordance with his IEP they would keep him from his recess to watch old seventies cartoons and even had my third grader in a preschool reading group despite the fact he has been reading since he was two. The incompetent administration even attempted to have us increase his medication rather then address the extreme bullying he was victim to. I had to attend school with my child to protect him for three weeks until we were able to get him into another school. The first day I attended I found my child getting beaten up while another child threw food at his face. There was not an adult in sight! I found the children unsupervised at lunch and recess until I complained. His teacher literally stood in the middle of the class and yelled, "I need help!" She had zero control of the class. She spent all her time with the five third graders who were unable to read while the other children threw paper airplanes. Do not send your child to this school.
