We needed my aunt's older station wagon that a leak fixed. Cesar's was able to get us in quickly. They called with an estimate for the repairs, as requested. We were able to pick up the vehicle later that day. The reason for a 4 star review, rather than a 5 star concerned the price at pick-up. When they called with the estimate, they gave me a price of $335. When we went to pick it up, they said it would be $370. When I questioned why the difference, the man looked at the invoice again & said, 'that'll be $354'. I'm not sure what happened to change the price from $370 to $354?? I took my car to Cesar's about a month ago, and so far, so good with my car. I was having issues with my car shaking when braking downhill or when braking at high speeds. I knew it had something to do with my rotors and brakes. I was disappointed by the first place I had taken my car in (which was a well reputable place). It was only a year when I had my brakes and rotors replaced and was already experiencing the same issues that I brought my car in to get fixed, and they were more than double the amount I paid for Cesar's. Since taking my car to Cesar's, I am glad I did as a second consult, and ultimately getting it repaired by them. My car has been running smoothly, and the cost was a waaaay less than what I paid at the other place, and they gave my car an oil change too! My husband was the one to take my car in, but from the sounds of it, they were quick and efficient, because they were able to accommodate him that same morning when he called. On the 101 fwy taking my son back to college at Santa Clara University. Traveling in my old 1994 Toyota 4Runner. My son was going to use the car in his last year of college. A few miles out of Santa Maria the "A/T Oil Temp" light came on. I was thinking that since the car is packed with a lot of stuff and probably needed a break! Stopped at a Mobile station and started calling around for AAA approved repair shops. Called one called "Jackals'" and they were too busy. They referred me to the mechanic across the street "Cesar's Auto Repair!" I called Cesar's and told him my problem. He said he was also busy, but he told me that he could see me in an hour. I told him that I was letting the car cool down and I would bring it by. After a while, I started the car back up and the light was not illuminated, but I still wanted Cesar to take a look at it before I continued on my way. I arrived and a nice young man greeted me! I told him that I had spoken with Cesar earlier and told him the problem I was having. He went to speak with Cesar. When he came back and told me he was going to put the car in the garage. After ten minutes, Cesar came back out and told me that the transmission fluid was good and so was everything else. He said since the car was older did I know if the radiator had ever been replaced. I told him that I was the original owner and I've never had a problem with the radiator. He took another 20 to 30 minutes and told me that everything looked okay. I explained that I had the car checked out by my mechanic in So Cal and everything was fine. I paid for his time. The car was ready to go and we made it to Santa Clara without any more problems. Cesar could have taken advantage of a desperate traveler, but NO, he was HONEST and put me at ease! If I was ever having car problems near Santa Maria again, I would definitely go back to see Cesar!
