It's hard to imagine one kitchen that can turn out Italian, Chinese, and Mexican food (and burgers too), and then do it well. I'm happy to say that The Melting Pot appears to pull it off. My wife had a delicious Italian pesto dish, and I got Mongolian Chicken, which was also really good. I ordered it with a Spicy level of "Hot" (the choices were: Mild, Medium, and Hot), and it was not at all too spicy, but rather had a light kick to it. The veggies tasted fresh, and the chicken was cooked perfectly tender. It was an awesome dinner. The place is clean, the service is great, and the food was really good! What more can you ask for! Upon arrival, we were greeted in a friendly manner, and shown to a booth. I ordered the Steak & Mushroom Alfredo, which was fantastic, and a very generous helping. My partner ordered the ribeye, which was done to perfection, just as she requested. The sides were very tasty as well. We didn't have room for dessert, but the homemade pies looked fantastic! The staff checked on us often during the meal, keeping our beverages full & making us feel welcome. Parking was easy - right out front of the restaurant. We order or dine-in probably once or twice a month, including roughly two weeks ago. I've yet to see the salad bar look bad, and their pizzas have always been on point for me. We usually spend anywhere from $30-$70 depending on whether or not my kids are here with me, but regardless, my experience has always been the same. Definitely a touch on the pricy side, but it's small-town Idaho...some things are going to be more expensive out here than, say, Boise or Spokane. So, I really can't complain about that. The pizzas are great, the salads have always been, for me, excellent...and my toddler can't help but nom down on the boneless chicken. Also, the staff are very friendly, professional, and I appreciate the work they do!
