I've been told to try this place for years now and finally got the chance to do so! I'm so glad I did a spontaneous trip to Lake park. It really is a hole in the wall eatery. It may not look fancy but it definitely is a place for good food and drinks. They have a huge bar right in the middle of the restaurant. Decided to order their Peruvian Japanese fusion sushi and causa acevichada, ceviche mixto. Everything was delicious but the cold potato from the causa caught us off guard. It was still good though! Finally got to visit Ceviche Arigato. Have heard many good things about this place and was looking forward to checking it out. Glad we did. The place is comfortable and romantic lit, it's a treat to come in and slow down. The menu is surprisingly large with so many amazing looking dishes. We began with a potato cheese appetizer. It is served with ceviche but for my people, we had that on the side, see the pics. I enjoyed the ceviche which was bright and cool. The fresh lime with the light fish and red onion was a treat after a long hot day. We paired the appetizer with cocktails. A couple of us had the gin and tonic (Gin'ca Tonic) and one had the mojito. The gin is a Peruvian gin with a very different flavor profile than is typical for gin, and I thoroughly enjoyed the difference. It also has fresh lime juice mixed it which kept the drink quite crisp and refreshing. The mojito was very nice but there are a couple local places with a more Cuban/Miami type mojito but this was not bad, we've just had better. You decide. Dinner was chicken and rice for others while I hade the mix: churasco, chicken, and seafood. That was spectacular because it was flavorful without being spicy hot. To me the flavor is unique so it stood out in a great way. The staff was attentive and quite good. The overall ambiance was relaxed and casual with very little noise, it was a treat to enjoy a meal and good conversation without too loud of music or noisy patrons, the vibe was relaxed and you could tell everyone was enjoying the time there. Let's start off with the best part... the food! The ceviche was fresh and delicious. The trio was so good! The lomo salado is probably the best I have had, the meat was so tender where other places their meat is chewy and tough. The cheesy risotto was delicious... in those salado juices (chefs kiss ). The creme brûlée was also delicious . We went late into the evening and the place was packed, the sat us in the back under two AC vents and it was freezing! We asked to move and they changed our seats... we waited for a while to even be recognized... and the whole time we had to constantly ask for our server. It's like they just ignored us which was frustrating. My boyfriend has been at lunch time and he said it is better but honestly it's very disappointing. As of late they seem to have changed the way they serve Lomo Saltado - smaller portions and not the wonderful sizzling delicious combo of fries, flash fried beef and rice. Definitely bummed as it was always super delicious . What has gone downhill in a very noticeable way is unfortunately their service. Instead of the kind gents that used to serve are replaced by some teen in a track suit that loooves to play manager. She is very unprofessional in the 3 times we've had to deal with her, once so rude we had to have the manager intervene. The icing on the cake ... taking our Xmas Eve reservation and then deciding to close early and never call! It must have been meant to be because we ended up having THE most wonderful treatment and sushi at 2 Vines! The pisco sours, jai alai draft beer topped off a wonderful meal. HH is from 4-7 and $9 for the appetizers with wines, house bottle beers are $4, wines $5.50, pisco and cuba libre and margs $6.50. I have been to this restaurant several times over the last 4 years. This review is of my last visit, on Nov. 2, 2025, Lake Park, FL location. We were a group of 16 people and had made reservations ahead. The service was good. I do have some observations about the food. I am Peruvian, so I know what I am talking about. The lomo saltado meat was very tough -- definitely not "lomo fino". In the Ronda Criolla entree (sampler) the Aji de Gallina should come with slices of boiled potato, as it does when you order the dish as your entree. The aji de gallina was not very tasty either. The chicharrón pork chunks were dry. I would not order the Ronda Criolla again. The Causa de pollo was basically just potato with a little bit of chicken and avocado filling. That is not true Causa. The filling should have peas, carrots, mayo & chicken and avocado slices on top. Not sure if the chicha morada is authentic (made from purple corn). I think it is the instant, imitation version, made from an envelope. That's what it tasted like. The ceviche was good and the seco de res was good, as were the picarones. But now I know there are items on the menu that I wouldn't order again or recommend. read more

First time in Ceviche Arigato. You have got to go! The dramatic video wall with aerial shots of Peru is eye-catching as you enter! Overall, the ambiance is very welcoming and super chill. We were seated immediately in a nice booth. The Pisco Sour cocktails arrived, mixed and chilled to perfection. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and made great recommendations, and our entrees arrived quickly. Ordering different dinners allowed for everyone at our table to sample a little bit of everything. Aji De Gallina consisting of shredded chicken in a yellow Peruvian pepper, milk and cheese sauce served with potato and rice was very flavorful. The Seco De Res, a beef stew in a cilantro sauce with rice and white beans was exceptionally tender. And the Ceviche Mixto with a mix of fresh fish, calamari, shrimp and octopus was really good. This place is amazing and very under the radar in a random strip mall. One of the things I love is that you can easily dine with a large group and it has a party vibe. The servers are not overly friendly, but they are efficient. They have a full bar, featuring the classic Peruvian cocktail the Pisco Sour. Sometime ago, we were shopping for patio furniture next door to a restaurant that we initially paid little attention to but saw that they seemed to have a steady stream of patrons. We inquired from the patio salesperson about the restaurant and he said that they have very good food. We went home and read a number of Yelp reviews and scanned the pictures. It seemed enticing. This past weekend, we were craving Peruvian food and decided to try Ceviche Arigato. Upon entering the restaurant, the atmosphere is warm and inviting with a touch of modernism as evidenced by a large wall monitor that displayed rotating pictures of the Peruvian/Japanese culture. A fully stocked bar was also in the center of the restaurant with seating all around its large rectangular shape. We were promptly greeted by the cheerful hostess who escorted us to a booth. Our server followed shortly thereafter but his style was almost like a drive-by type service with his head and eyes darting all over the place. This took a little getting used to because the restaurant was not busy, but I had to reconcile that I do not know what is going on behind the scenes. In any event, we started with a Mojito and a red sangria. I would like to give props to the bartender because this was one of the few times I have not been disappointed. The balance of the mint and sweet was good, and I actually tasted the alcohol, not too much but enough to let you know it was present, nice! As an appetizer, we had the Conchas a la Parmesana. This was accompanied by lime wedges and shredded lettuce. The salt and fat was present when eaten as is. The lime improved the taste but it could use some heat, possibly in the form of some rocoto. We finished them all without asking for a side of rocoto because they were still delicious. For the mains, I had the whole fried snapper and my wife had the Chupe de Camarones. My fish was simply but exceptionally seasoned and cooked to the right texture. The side of black beans was probably the best that I have had, so much so that I used it as a dip for the fish. My wife said that he soup was very good and they did not skimp on the shrimp. I tried a few spoonfuls of her soup and agree that it was very good. Finally, we had a Mousse Chirimoya for dessert. This was our least favorite fare. I am familiar with the chirimoya because where I come from, there are two similar fruits, the soursop and the custard apple, both of which are delicious fresh from the tree. With this dessert, there was a tartness to it that did not go well with what tasted like condensed milk. In the final analysis, this restaurant gets my top rating and whoever reads this, if you visit, the plaza it occupies does not do the establishment justice. read more
