My to go plate!
Kayla M.

Occasion: Dinner PARKING: Free onsite parking Location & Ambiance: Location is very close to the highway and easy to find using maps. Service: Excellent service, very clean environment. I ordered my food to go and was told that it would take around 15 mins. I decided to read a book in my car while I waited, and within 10 minutes the beeper that they gave me started to buzz indicating that my food was ready. The time it took was a pleasant surprise because I was truthfully prepared to wait at least 20 mins. The young woman who took my order was so kind and welcoming! Food: The food was amazing! I got a seafood option with two sides. Rice being one side and beans being another side. I was very thankful because the food was beautifully seasoned and very tasty!!! Overall: 10:10 great food, great prices, great timely service!!!

Good Peruvian food, fast service and great options. Love all the sauces they have to try.

We stopped by on a rainy afternoon because this looked convenient and there was ample parking. The line which had already formed led me to believe that many others thought this was a good place too. Then the first surprise. When ordering, the order entry person didn't understand English. We restated it in Spanish and that worked out. Then I had a question about the seafood soup, as to whether it's laden with salt. She didn't understand the question and after repeating it several times answered yes. I ordered it anyway and she was incorrect. There was hardly any salt which to me, was great. I'm glad I didn't listen to her prior to ordering. It took a long time to get our food. I am talking about 25 minutes and this is a semi fast food place. The reason they get three stars is that the soup was actually delicious. Fresh shrimp, calamari and fish in a rich broth with a touch of coconut milk. The ceviche was okay, nothing spectacular. Rice and beans were average.

We got to the location, easy parking and steps to restaurant. We arrived and immediately got seated. For our surprise it was brunch time, we decided to join for brunch and I am glad we did. I loved the oysters they have and the variety of food. Today was Mexican style and had tacos and were great. I must admit I have not been to a restaurant that I leave happy to have come and amazed with the food and service. For me personally this is my new favorite spot to go. Great job to staff and to the 2 owners. Keep it up

I will say I was underwhelmed by the whole experience and happy I wasn't paying for the lunch because it was not up to the quality of how expensive it was. The waitress was extremely slow on providing refills and when I asked for suggestions she only talked about the oysters and nothing outside of the starters lineup on the menu. The restaurant was pretty empty for lunch so I thought she would've been more on top of it. We ordered some oysters which were decent but I've had better on palm beach island. The crab cake was probably the only item I was thinking wow this is good. The salmon was lacking flavor and quality so I barely touched it. It was also extremely cold inside and the music was blasting. The waitress just seemed ready to keep up charging us by pushing us to order more such as coffee and dessert and not checking in on us through the meal. I would honestly skip out on this restaurant and go to La marina or another Palm beach restaurant and actually get your moneys worth.

Everything from the ambiance to the food and even the service was phenomenal. Great dining room area with both an outdoor and indoor bar. We sat with the bartender AB that immediately greeted us with waters and their menu. They are currently running a pick 2 for $15.99 menu that has some pretty great options. We had 2 meals & chose the wings, blackened shrimp po boy with the small gumbo's. Wings were super crispy, juicy, and tender. With a nice light Smokey taste. They buffalo and blue cheese sauce was actually pretty impressive. The po boy had a good amount of shrimp to bread ratio, with a nice sauce included. The gumbo had a deep rich flavor, but was not overly heavy with fatty meats. We were also informed of the happy hour oyster special, so we ended up getting a few of the rockerfella and raw. The rockerfella was amazing with melty cheese, a nice garlic flavor, & served with crispy bread slices. The raw came with crackers, lemon, wine vinegar, and a tasty cocktail sauce. Both were delicious. Marco, the manager came and spoke with us about our experience which really showed the attention to detail this restaurant offers. After sharing our story of visiting New Orleans a few years ago and bragging about the beignets, he brought us 2 out to finish our meal. I have to say, these were better than the ones I've had at cafe beignet in NOLA. They were HOT out the fryer to the point where the powdered sugar was slightly melted. Crisp outside dough but gooey soft in the center. A unreal experience to end a fantastic meal. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Luckily my sister lives 5 mins from this place but I would easily drive a hour or 2 when visiting from out of town just for this experience. Marco and AB really went above and beyond to make sure this was a special outing on a regular ole' Monday, and we could not have left happier.

The New Orleans vibe was absolutely on point and set the tone for a great meal. Our waitress was fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the menu. She recommended her favorite dish, and it ended up becoming my favorite too. Now, I'm a country boy, so the deviled eggs just weren't my style, but everything else more than made up for it. The cornbread was incredible. Honestly, I couldn't decide if I was eating cake or cornbread--it was that good. The barbecue shrimp was outstanding and easily one of my favorite dishes (our waitress clearly has great taste!). The fried oysters were cooked to perfection, and the baked chicken was seasoned and prepared just right. The gator tail was great with the sauce. I've had scalloped potatoes many times over the years, but these were on another level--definitely some for the record books. If you're looking for great food, an authentic New Orleans atmosphere, and excellent service, Voodoo is absolutely worth the visit.

It's low-key tucked away in Palm Beach Gardens, but once you're in, it's giving "why don't more people know about this?" energy. Now let's get into brunch--because this place understands the assignment. The shrimp and grits? Elite. Bold, rich, perfectly balanced. The kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite and rethink your life choices--mainly why you haven't been eating this more often. The shakshouka is flavorful, comforting, and executed cleanly. And the waffles... listen--these waffles are not here to play. Crispy, fluffy, and dangerously easy to finish. Order them knowing full well you're not sharing. The menu truly lives up to the idea of "a taste of everything." There's so much to choose from that decision paralysis is real--but in a fun way. No bad options, just tough choices. The vibe is on point. Modern, warm, stylish without being loud about it. The kind of place that feels just as right for brunch as it does for a relaxed dinner. The staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and actually happy to be there--no bad attitudes, no weird energy. The manager is hands-on, professional, and clearly runs a tight (but chill) ship. Is it a little tucked away? Yes. Is it worth finding? Absolutely. Consider it a hidden gem with main-character energy. Bottom line: Great food. Strong brunch game. Beautiful space. Solid service. For me, it's five stars every single time--no overthinking, no debate. If you know, you know. And if you don't... now you do. More pics to follow...

12:30om, 3/18/2026…read more Ambience = Steady, lunch crowd in the bar. Yet not phonetic or chaotic. Good, chill vibe. 4-5 high top tables for two. At the bar- nice personal space and hooks for purses. Nice place to perch my feet and store my obnoxiously long golf umbrella. Perfect atmosphere for a chilly, rain date lunch with spouse. Balance of business professionals, "ladies who lunch", and a few couples. The bar reminds me a of nicer Las Vegas resort hotel bar. One TV showing Golf TV. Food = We've eaten at J.Alex since their soft open moons ago. The dishes are always consistent quality. Today hub's was jonesing for a French dip. I was craving their Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich. We both order their shoestring fries. We're slowly enjoyed each other's company and our lunches. We immensely enjoyed our meals. Service = Good. Our bartender didn't offer his name, and we weren't on our game to ask his name. However, he did a good job. He quickly came over and put down black napkin placemats with napkin rolled utensils and offered water while we skimmed the menu. Beverages were served quick. Food order quick and complete. We never had to ask for extra sides as he brought them all out with the meals- ketchups (If you like an abundant serving, ask when you place your order. They use small 2 oz stainless steel ramekins.), horseradish sauce, a side of blue cheese (to dip my fries in ), and my Nashville hot sauce on the side. Check came quick too. We ask and learned that they do not offer a Happy Hour. However, they offer very large pour martinis with a side car waiting for you for the price of one. He said late afternoons they have very happy and loyal regulars! We've been dining at "J.A." since their soft open many moons ago. They have always offered well trained staff. We've been here as parties of two, parties of up to 8, and as times with infants, to toddlers, to elementary school age peeps to seniors who many need a little extra consideration with seating. J.Alexander's has always offered great service. However, for some with low vision may find the back of the restaurant a little dark. Bathrooms are clean. There is an outside, screened over bar area as well. My extra bullet points: Value = Yes! High quality, consistent food, great staff and fair price for the experience. The BIG question: Will we return? Yes! We are every other month "regulars". During COVID, they were able to pivot their business to keeping their doors up keeping people employed and offered service to the community. HIGH GIVE! We'll be back. Cheers! Tip: Be sure to make reservations especially during holiday weekends, PGA golf classic weekends and "Season" for tables. If they're booked, Bonefill Grill is directly next door as "back up". Get there early for parking as the lot fills up fast for dinner with several restaurants sharing the same lot.
