It's not located in the best area of Lake Park, but don't judge by the location or outside. It's definitely hip on the inside. The prices are kind of high, but worth it for a delicious meal. The food is amazing here!! It is the best Peruvian restaurant I have found in the west palm area. My favorite is the Ají Amarillo ceviche. It's flavorful and made to your choice of spiciness. Another favorite is the lomo saltado con tallarines a la huancaina. The sauce is this perfect cheesy creamy sauce and the lomo is cooked sauced and has great flavor. To start, we walked in and were so shocked at the impressive decor, this would be a great place come for a special occasion- maybe a date or catch up with old friends. I just met up with a friend for lunch about a month ago and ordered the Loma Salado tonight we tried the Loma Salado with a risotto, which I thought was a very different combination but again very flavorful. I'm a big fan of this Lomo, we ordered a kids fettuccine Alfredo, and we were there for happy hour so I thought I'd try some of their sushi and I went with the Miami Heat roll. The Miami Heat roll was very small or because it was happy hour. It wasn't as big as I thought, maybe six rolls Service - that's what really bugs me we went not during a busy time and service was super slow. I was with the kiddos so I thought we could get their food in before my husband arrived. And there is a lot of staff and not a lot of help. the bathrooms are unattended and there's not even toilet paper. I'm just saying, it pains me to see this for them. Second time trying this spot when I had a craving for ceviche. The first time was take out ceviche dish and from my memory delicious. This time I came for their happy hour menu and tapas before dinner. Opted for the fried calamari and ceviche pescado off of their happy hour menu along with a glass of their house Sauvignon Blanc, along with a salmon roll. We sat and were greeted quickly with water and crunchy corn kernels to munch on. I saw this in the photos prior so was curious to try for first time - a unique flavor and crunch. All of the food was great, strangely the ceviche was the only dish I didn't absolutely love as there was bit more lime juice than my usual liking hiding all of the unique flavors like the sweet potato and Peruvian corn mixed with. Still good enough to eat but couldn't finish sadly enough. The calamari was perfect and loved the house sauce provided rather than typical marinara. My lunch guest loved the roll so much I could barely get a couple pieces. The service was great from Ketty and she was friendly and made us feel like personal guests of hers. I'm really torn, because the main players of the dishes I ordered were really good. As an opener, I ordered the tuna sushi roll and for the main course I had the churrasco steak dinner. The tuna roll was fantastic, BUT it arrived after my main course. A little strange, but not horrible. The churrasco steak was was perfection, BUT the beans and rice were undercooked. The rice had that, still raw, crunchy texture to it. I would give the Traditional Chilcano cocktail, I ordered, it's own 5 star review. I believe anything coming out of the bar is magnificently made. I'd like to try this Peruvian Japanese fusion restaurant again. I think the positive potential is there. Just not this last Saturday night. I'd like to encourage everyone to come to this restaurant. Short synopsis: Peruvian food is okay, but don't order sushi items here. Genuinely confused by the high rating here. Came here 4 months ago with a group of 7 on a Friday night at 8pm. This restaurant is located in a strip mall, so parking is easy, right outside. We came with reservations, but it was only about 60% full when we arrived, and was pretty consistently around this level for most of the evening. After being seated right away, we ordered a number of different items. Drinks all around--a pisco sour, margarita, lychee martini, a few caipirinhas. Drinks were decent, pretty standard. For food we ordered: 1) avocado salad $10: pretty generic salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onions and avocado. 2) yucainas--fried yuca: kind of odd to me that they served this as literally 6 pieces of yuca and charged $7 for it. I'm used to restaurants serving yuca fries the same way they'd serve a side of regular fries. 3) Aphrodisiac ceviche with fish, shrimp, mussels, calamari and octopus marinated in lime juice $20. The red and yellow pepper sauces and olive cream were interesting compliments to the ceviche, would recommend this dish. 4) sushi boat with 3 rolls $40: this was disappointing, the sushi was plain bad. I've had other "fusion"-y type sushi before and unfortunately this place did not do it well. The quality of the fish was ok but didn't taste sushi grade, and the rice was over cooked and over-mixed--it was gummy and thick and tasted like rice made by people who haven't eaten good sushi rice before. The interior of all 3 rolls were bland, the sauces helped, but they were the only part of the sushi that made it palatable. Most of our table agreed this was a let-down. 5) teriyaki ribs $12: served over fries, sweet and savory teriyaki sauce was tasty. 6) mixed grill mar y tierra $29: grilled flank steak, chicken, calamari, served with fried yuca and potatoes. Prob the most successful dish of the evening. Steak cut was most and flavorful, chicken was average but not too dry. 7) vegetarian chaufa $15: Peruvian version of fried rice, chock full of veggies and a decent-sized portion. Service was friendly, but a bit slow, it took about 15 minutes to get drinks, then it took another 15-20 min to get food, and not all of the entrees came out together. I've been a Arigato customer for years. I've always ordered the Aphodisiac ala carte dish. Okay when I started it was $18. Now it's $24. But this January 1, 2024 I again order this dish and they only serve enough seafood to fill one tooth. Now I don't know if it's the chef or the owner. But they have become more expensive which I don't mine. But Cheap in there portions. Owner you need to improve this. However I won't be coming back for secounds. We never get sick of this place. My husband and I have been coming here for a few years now since we moved from NYC. Milo - who always serves us and always takes care of us when we do visit is the sweetest guy. We always feel like we are part of the Ceviche Arigato family. We always get the grilled octopus for apps which never disappoints - the best one we have ever tried around WPB. My husband gets the Ceviche Le Tigre while I get the whole Red Snapper. We always throw it down because it's delicious. For drinks, we get the Ceviche Martini - OMG, another round please! The place is not bright nor loud; and therefore, can be quite romantic if you have a corner booth. We never get sick of this place and try to visit every couple of months. read more
