Not only was the portion size disrespectful, but it was also severely lacking flavor. Imagine canned chicken with a sprinkle of cheese and Frank's RedHot mixed in. Half a cup of mystery buffalo dip for $19.99 is absolutely criminal. I also had the JLB Caribbean Mahi Wrap and ordered it with 'vegetables' only to be told the vegetables were just green beans. That's fine, but there needs to be more transparency because 'vegetables' makes it sound like you have a mix of veggies. When my dish came out, the green beans were thrown loosely onto the plate like an afterthought, and my wrap was swimming in green bean water. It made the wrap so soggy I couldn't even pick it up. Y'all need to put that in a bowl, maybe the same tiny bowl y'all used for that sorry, paltry buffalo dip. read more

Good stuff!! Perfect for the travel and tourist crowd. I got the mahi mahi reuben with the fish blackened... it is THE meal I'll associate with this trip for the rest of my life, I think. The fries were good, the Diet Coke was cold. But the mahi mahi reuben... it was so good. A lot of meat on the sandwich but I finished the whole thing! My man got the stuffed shrimp, onion rings, and the Caribbean rice. All good but not as show-stopping as the reuben. I was just getting over the flu and wanted something comforting and easy on the stomach so I settled on chicken quesadillas. The menu is extensive but these looked the perfect fit. Jonnny Longboat is a cool nautical pirate themed kind of place. I love the decor and I love the food. Tonight they had oysters on the half shell and I split an order of nachos with my wife. We ordered fried oysters for an appetizer. They were perfectly prepared! I had the crab stuffed shrimp. It wasn't stuffed with real crab. It was good, but not great. The grouper in a bag with fries was really good! It's always a little loud, but it was during happy hour. Our server was at least 40 years younger than me and kept calling me honey. Johnnys consistency in underwhelming has to be commended. I've eaten there a half dozen times over the 10 years we've been coming down to Singer Island and I can't say any meal was ever any good. This year's iteration was overcooked (thus dry) mahi fish tacos that included two small pieces of blackened mahi (ha! There was nothing blackened about them) on a giant tortilla that is typically used for a burrito. My son did love his chicken tenders so maybe the key at this seafood restaurant is to order white meat but my in laws Cesar salad and shrimp scampi were both incredibly overdressed. Sauce trying to make up for meh food Ambience is cool and my kids love the claw game. But I'd rather eat potato chips I buy at 7-11 than depend on Johnny for a good meal. read more

There's plenty of parking and the restaurant is super spacious and ideal for large groups. Our waitress was a little spacey, but it was towards the end of the night and the place was still packed. She was kind enough to go back and replace an order she got wrong. I ordered a margarita and a shrimp quesadilla for my meal. The drink was pretty standard, not super heavy on alcohol. The quesadilla was delicious - a little oily, but loved the peppers, onions, and melty cheese inside! The Chicken Kabobs were flavorful, with a nice teriyaki-style sauce, and the Shrimp Jambalaya was quite good as well--not spicy, which might appeal to some. The service during ordering and meal delivery was good, but the experience faltered slightly after paying. The server didn't thank us after we settled the bill, and using the electronic payment machine felt awkward as the waitress hovered nearby. It would be better if servers stepped away while guests are completing the payment, as is typical with traditional payment systems. Another note: they charge a 2.97% fee for credit card payments, which is worth keeping in mind. As for the ambiance, it was overall pleasant--not too loud, with a relaxed vibe. Excellent food with friendly staff. Alex took great care of us. I had raw oysters, a cup of crab soup and a mahi wrap. I prefer a little more mahi in the wrap but it was still delicious. I had the long boat taco. I liked the pineapple salsa. But the flour tortilla just disintegrated because the way they had prepared it. I wondered if it had been microwaved . We love Jonny Longboats! We always go there for a least one meal and drinks when we're visiting our Dad. It has a good menu, lots of options and it's super casual, perfect for an easy night out or a stop after the beach. They have really good cheeseburgers. The Beach wrap is usually our go to, we think it's delicious. We get it with the blackened chicken and it's really just such a good wrap. There's a large bar, high tops, booths and regular tables. Dan and I go to Johnny Longboat's at least once every time we visit our timeshare. Right after we bought our first points in 2010, we stopped at Johnny Longboat's for happy hour and enjoyed the atmosphere. I'd say I like the atmosphere a little better than the food. The other customers are friendly at the bar and eager to strike up conversation. Johnny Longboat seems to attract that kind of customer. They have a sign up that says it all, "If you are concerned about alcohol, cholesterol, and protocol, you are in the wrong place." During happy hour, you can get well drinks for $4. Their well gin was pretty good. Cheap gin just isn't very forgiving, in my opinion. This was quite drinkable. read more

I stopped by to get something to eat. It was Thursday 3/19/26. I ordered an appetizer, the Buffalo grouper bites. It was good, but as soon as I left I was feeling a little strange. I pulled over at Phil Foster park and vomited all over the place twice. I drove home to Jupiter and again vomited all over my front yard. I think it was the wing sauce because that was all that came up. I have eaten there many times but never got sick. It seems that the staff needs to be advised about cross contamination. Negative stars....the service was obviously focused on tourism so they assumed that since we were tourists that we did not matter. The local business is what matters to this business. The service was not attentive and our server chose to eat dinner instead of checking on us throughout our meal. We had to ask multiple different people for silverware and silverware did not come until past 5 minutes after getting our meal. A server told us "I don't know who your server is but I will make sure you are taken care of." After we told them our side both the manager and the server did not hear our side and lost interest once we said we were tourists. At the end there was a confrontation and he, the manager Tony, said when we left "you need to learn how to control that" speaking about my sister and I. Love this place! It is a perfect dive bar. Their clams were so good my friends literally went back the next day and got them again! The place is full of funny signs and pirate statues and boat/ nautical decor. The menu is extensive and they can accommodate some dietary restrictions. It is a bit pricey but it is right on the beach, so that's fair. Staff is a pleasure. Bathrooms are ok. Parking is annoying but you can find it, you just may have to walk a little. They have bar specials, live music, so many good things. Plus, it is on a strip of other eateries so you can bar hop the day away. I like it here read more
