The shrimp and octopus ceviche were delicious with a Pacifico to drink. I was told the shrimp tacos were good too. Of course the flies show up ... but that means it's good, right? Definitely impressed with the freshness of this seafood for a food truck. Check it out if you want something low key satisfying.

Tired of paying EXTRAVAGANT prices for MEDIOCRE fish at those "BOUGIE" new seafood restaurants popping up all over Austin? Look no further, Ceviche Love is none of those things! Located right down the road from the 812 flea market, it looks like any other dirt lot food truck at first glance. But once you pull in and step inside, you'll see that it's actually a pretty chill and low-key spot for locals to drink a few beers and eat refreshing ceviche to keep cool on hot days. As a landlocked city, finding truly fresh seafood in Austin can be challenging. Which is why I find the 35-minute drive south from where I live absolutely worth it during the summer to have lunch here. I've tried ALL of their ceviches across different visits and everything from their shrimp and octopus, to oyster and tilapia is just so fresh and satisfying. Highly recommend the ones that come with mango chunks, too! They also have very good cooked dishes, such as the extra spicy Camarones a la Diabla, and even some solid dessert options like their Fresas con Crema. There's just something so relaxing about drinking a beer or agua fresca in their shaded backyard seating, too. Would 10/10 recommend to any seafood lover in the area!

We wanted to try a new place the other day and decided on Ceviche Love! It's out on sort of a rural road in southeast Austin. You order outside but there is both indoor and outdoor seating. We got three items: The fish tacos were my favorite by farrr and would definitely go back just for these. Huge portions and probably the best I've had in Austin. The empanadas were alright, but wouldn't be enough to get me to come back. The ceviche, it's namesake, wasn't my favorite but mostly because the fish was a bit chunkier than I'd like. Maybe i have to try the shrimp next time. Overall, go for fish tacos and you'll be more than happy!

I stopped into this establishment on the way back home from the airport. I was particularly interested in stopping by as many of my Yelp peeps seem to think this spot is the 'cats pajamas'. What I got: Of course, ceviche; can't come to a place with ceviche in the name and not order it. What is served here is a traditional Mexican ceviche. What's the difference between Mexican ceviche and other kinds you ask? Ecuadorian ceviche tosses shrimp and tomato sauce into the marinade, and crispy tostadas or tortilla crisps accompany Mexican ceviche or the similar Aguachile (shrimp drizzled with a chili-infused lime mixture just before serving) from the northern Pacific coast of Mexico. Caribbean styles include a creamy touch from coconut milk. Even within Peru, a Japanese-Peruvian version called Nikkei adds another layer of variation with finely cut fish amidst soy sauce, togarashi, and sesame oil. The ceviche was fresh and just the right amount of salt and lemon. Shrimp Tacos These Shrimp Tacos were loaded with plump juicy shrimp, crisp cabbage, avocado, cotija cheese, cilantro and a shrimp taco sauce. These tacos were simple, fresh and filling. #supportlocal

Combo ceviche with mango, shrimp tacos and the Mexican coke

Came for the ceviche but coming back for the shrimp tacos! (And more ceviche) Service was friendly and fast. I had trouble deciding ~per usual~so they offered to add mango onto my combo ceviche and it was bomb! They give you a little tamarind dip on the side which paired perfectly. The shrimp tacos were fried, which I was surprised about, but not mad. They were fantastic! Overflowing with ingredients and two types of sauce; they were messy but delicious! The ambiance was lovely, especially for a food truck. Perfect patio picnic tables outside under an awning with garden decor plus a little spot indoors in the back for the inside dwellers. I will be back, possibly tomorrow because I'm already craving more shrimp tacos. Don't forget the Mexican coke.

Feels like you are on the beach eating fresh seafood! Super tasty and chilled shrimp, octopus, fish in refreshing tomato lime sauce. Very reasonable prices. Super friendly service. Lots of large format beers available. Enter from the back side to a covered outdoor (and indoor if needed) area next to the food truck kitchen with lots of mood lighting. Only complaint is it was hard to tell one dish from another. We even thought one was perhaps a mistake because it tasted very similar to another. Dishes served with fried corn tortilla (tostada style). Cant wait to try other items on the menu.

Came across this gem by the grace of god, I am always looking for ceviche everywhere I go that is comparable to what I'm use to, especially growing up in Mexico and an island off of Texas. When we do ceviche we do ceviche. This place is one of the best ceviche spots I have ever been to. I have gotten everything on this menu and when I tell you it is all ridiculously good. My favorite thing off this menu is the octopus. And the camarones curtidos. It is lime cooked to perfection and not overly sour it is simply just right. The empanadas de camarón are to die for. I absolutely love this place. It's a zillion miles from my house, but I try to go at least once a month or whenever the cravings get bad. I drag my friends there with me and now they are addicted too! The guys that run this place are the nicest and it literally is the best ceviche in town. And you get ALOT of ceviche for your money. Not like some of the other places where you get 2 or 3 pieces. They FILL a clamshell box. I like the mango ceviche the best, but the regular is great too. I always add the octopus and ask for extra negro sauce!...yum. Hell, I'm going tomorrow after writing this review (or maybe even later today). The shrimp coctel and oysters with ceviche are really good too. Try the fried fish for a change but I come or the ceviche! read more

Terrible flavor, not fresh and expensive. The signature of aguachile is the flavor of the lime-chile combination.. This aguachile was flavorless and the shrimp definitely had a funkiness of not being fresh. Over 40 dollars for two plates of terrible food. Not cool! read more

If you are a ceviche lover..... you will love this place. I am not much for eating out of a food truck but I live ceviche so I tried it. Oh my, this was insane taste. Insane amazing flavors. We stopped in on our way back to Corpus Christi. They have outdoor and indoor seating from the food truck! Delicious large Micheladas! We ordered a little of everything. Aguachile verdes, tacos Gobernados, ceviche de Mango, a side of their rice, and tostadas de ceviche!! And WOW!! So fresh and delicious! They have a great little spot! Really nice people! Definitely will be back!! Unfortunately I did not get a picture of the tacos gobernados, we ate them too fast! But for real, they were sooo good!! read more

Looking for good seafood I found so many positive reviews about this place , Im not very picky normally, try first the Playero caldo and was so flat , lacks of flavor and meat, probably 5 shrimp and two small pieces of fish on it , think possibly the mango camarón will be better (it looks so good in the picture) not to bad but flat too, and a the end shrimp and octopus tostadas this lacks of flavor too , and to dry , truly disappointed, probably the food was good long time ago , maybe with a few beers it taste better , but now you just gonna end with a bad experience , recommend try somewhere else. read more

Super-Fresh everything! I luckily found this place by searching Yelp when I had a hankering for ceviche and I was on the SE side of town. What a gem! It's not too far from ABIA. The menus are all in Spanish, but don't despair; the guy at the window speaks both English and Spanish fluently, plus there are helpful posters with pictures of their offerings, so you can easily figure it out. Also, they are very helpful in putting together any combo you may want, even if it's not a regular item. There's no fishy-tasting fish here, and the fruit and vegetables are crisp and crunchy. I took home a variety of things: tostadas (with the chips conveniently packaged separately so that they stay crunchy); a shrimp ceviche; a coctel of pulpo (octopus), shrimp, mango, and avocado; a whole fried fish, which was terrifically seasoned, and the side of rice was outstanding; and the seafood soup chock-full of veggies and seafood in a tasty broth that reminded me of the soups I got in Cano San Lucas. I highly recommend this food truck! There's plenty of parking, and the truck next door had a variety of yummy, fresh Aquas Frescas and frozen treats. read more

This is the best food truck in the area if you consider quality, variety, and atmosphere. The seafood is the freshest and they give you such nice portions of it. I've been coming here once or twice a week since I found out about it. When I'm away from the area I will come back just for this food! Love this place! It's the absolute best authentic Ceviche and fish tacos - and at a great price!!! Their ceviche feeds 2 of us for only $10 bucks. We sought out Ceviche Love because it's on the way to the COTA track. This was a cute food truck with a semi permanent feel with its awning and half dozen or more outdoor tables and lights and decorations. We got the shrimp and fish ceviche and another ceviche with 2 kinds of shrimp and octopus. The shrimp ceviche was my favorite, but they were all fresh. There were other things besides ceviche available and I wish that I had taken a photo of the menu for my review. There is no alcohol, but you might be able to byob. We had a delicious pineapple soda. My only complaint was the large parking area was unpaved and shared with an alley so all sized vehicles came through including a semi. It was really windy that day so we were glad there were some side shades to block some of the wind. Service was super friendly. . read more

I came here for the F1 event from Reno,NV and this place is bomb! I had their agua chile negro, Verde and full oysters and everything was great and authentic. Got one mango cevice and a regular, both were delicious!! also got the shrimp cocktail that was very good, only thing was it was a lightly watered down , I usually like my cocktail with thicker sauce, but it was still delicious in taste. 10/10!! read more

I got the large cóctel de camarón con pulpo (shrimp and octopus cocktail). IT WAS AMAZING. Super fresh, great packaging, and great flavor. It came with tostadas and salsa Valentina which is a must have when eating seafood. YOU WILL NOT REGREG IT. IF you're Mexican and want fresh mariscos this will definitely hit the spot. read more

You wouldn't think a bar in the lobby of the Aloft could be so trendy and fun, but we had a blast and some great and somewhat reasonably priced drinks to boot! The decor is a lot of fun as was our bartender, Sam! He was fantastic at being honest about which drinks were actually worth getting off the cocktail menus and he didn't judge when I ordered the "No Ducks Given" just for the floating rubber ducky! We ended up here because my friends were specifically looking for dirty gin & vodka martinis, respectively. I'm a bourbon girl myself, but Sam made some mean martinis! I also had the Tom Collins w/antique barrel-aged gin that drank more like a scotch and was fantastic! The only thing I would say is the spinach feta "pretzel" here was not good and definitely not at all worth $7. It was definitely the "pop in a microwave" variety and wasn't even really a pretzel, it was more like a p'zone if anything else. So can't rec that here, but the drinks were great as was the company of our fellow "barflys" for the evening!

He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.

Completely disappointed. Drove few miles to eat pico de gallo with some fish and shrimp. Ordered a shrimp and fish tostada. There was barely small pieces of shrimp. Shrimp cocktail. 4 pieces of shrimp were swimming in a lot of tomato juice and pico de gallo. Ordered shrimp and fish ceviche with mango and there was hardly any fish or shrimp. Closest to me is the mojarra frita fried tilapia with rice and salad. The tilapia was fried to perfection and the rice was flavorful and moist. The drink was a Michelina I think one of the best in town. In the back is shrimp empanadas usually we get here later and no left. So go early if you want to try the shrimp empanadas. read more
