As a Marriott guest with many years of loyalty, I appreciate the staff members who know how to provide great customer service. On my first full day at this resort, I experienced excellent food and service at the breakfast buffet, with an amazing array of options in a beautiful setting. It was such a good feeling that the hostess from Las Casitas remembered my name. A tequila tasting in the afternoon and an evening dinner continued with top-notch service. The open air restaurant and bar was a great way to kick off our vacation! It's presented as you walk in the the hotel with beautiful views and friendly staff. The space is large and well spaced out. We appreciated the space and variety of table seating to acomidate our toddler. We took a short table out of the way so she had some roaming room without disturbing other guests. The food was absolutely amazing. The shrimp tacos have been the best thing I've eaten since landing here four days ago! The drinks are on point. The offer tequila tasting but we have yet to give that a shot. If it's anything like our experience so far I'm confident it will be great! read more

This was a beautiful bar/restaurant at our hotel with a beautiful view, near the pool, so it was certainly convenient for us. The first time we tried it, we actually sat there and ordered. We got some shrimp tacos, fries, and ceviche. The wait was long even though it was really empty there, the service was great, and the food was good, but definitely not great. It was actually kind of pricey for Mexico, but I wouldn't say that if the food was really good. The fact that the food was so mediocre, made it disappointing. The shrimp tacos were very good. The fries were okay. The ceviche was good and light, but kind of bland. Aesthetically speaking, everything looked very nice. But that was not the case second time around, haha! Because it was so close to our suite and the pool, we found it convenient to order from here again, but we picked it up this time to take it to our room. and again, we waited about FIFTY MINUTES for just 4 tacos. As soon as we got to the room and opened the bag, we were shocked. Completely shocked. What I'm about to say is 100% a true story LOL. There was literally ONE SHRIMP in each taco. We thought it was a mistake for sure because they charged us $18 US dollars for FOUR SMALL TACOS (basically 4 medium shrimps in 4 tortillas). It didn't make any sense. The worst part was that we were STARVING and we waited FIFTY MINUTES for those dinky sad tacos. My husband took it back and showed them, and they checked with the chef supposedly and they came back and said "Oh, that's how it comes". $9 for two tacos with ONE medium shrimp in each one? really? So my husband called me to double check, and thankfully I took a photo of my shrimp tacos the day before so I sent it to him, so that he can show them that's not how it was the day before. It was a normal taco. He showed it to them, and they were so embarrassed, and ended up refunding it and taking the food back. How shameful of them to not try to make it right after we waited so long for our lunch. This was such a nice hotel, and we were so disappointed. And even more shameful for not admitting they're out of shrimp (I'm assuming that's what happened, otherwise, WTF?). I was especially disappointed about this bar especially since it is located in a beautiful hotel. I ordered their frozen passion fruit margarita and it was not good at all. It didn't even taste like passion fruit. It was completely watered down and contained no alcohol at all. Although the waitress changed my drink to a passion fruit margarita on the rocks, the flavor was still not good and felt really light. read more

This bar is located inside the Marriott, which is extremely convenient when you want to have something different every mornig, instead of been stucked with the breakfast buffet. We enjoyed a simple and tasty breakfast, the environment was beautiful, surrounded by tropical palm trees, multicolored birds and a pleasant breeze coming straight from the ocean! Been here many times in PV at the Marriott. They've renovated it and expanded it. But they kept the same great friendly service and great happy hour deals (2 for 1). They have expanded the menu and their prices are very reasonable for a hotel bar. It's a laid back atmosphere with even more on draft now than before. I really like this place. So if you're not feeling adventurous enough to go to the marina - this is a good place to hang out with many seats and tables. read more

Got to the bar/dining area and ordered a strawberry mojito, not my first choice, and a blackberry mojito. Sister has said she read reviews saying mojitos are a must, but Eh, They were okay. Food wise, we ordered appetizers which consisted of - 2 shrimp tacos (which were pretty tasty) came topped with a slaw and Mexican salsa which consisted of cucumber and mango, which was pretty good. It also came with a side of chipotle aioli.. YUM! - 2 enchiladas de Jaiba ~crab meat~ (pretty good as well... first bite is pretty "crabby" but I enjoyed it. - order of chicken wings, which were seasoned with Cajun spice and came with your typical carrots and celery. Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the wings. They were too fatty and after taking off the breading, there was hardly any chicken. Overall, the food was pretty good for a "seafood" spot. The crevice here was great and the service. The blasting music made it impossible to hold a conversation. We had to settle with only an appetizer because it's nice to actually have a conversation with those your eating with.
