Hands down the most amazing authentic tacos at this cute little spot! Hubs and I were looking to find a spot to grab a quick bite, and came across San Jerry's -- we weren't sure they were opened but the sweet lady (I think she's one of the owners) assured us they were open. It didn't seem like much so we didn't know what to expect, but we took a chance -- and wow! So glad we did!!!
The sweet lady brought asked us what we wanted to drink, and if we knew what we wanted to eat. We asked for a menu, but since we popped in on a Sunday, we were told they only served tacos, and some light bites -- like ceviche. Well, tacos it was for me, and hubs ordered the ceviche!
I had a great seat so I got the opportunity to watch them make the food behind the counter... I felt like we were at a friend's house and they were making us lunch -- the lady was making the ceviche and tacos, and her daughter was helping.
Once the food was ready, we indulged... the ceviche was the most flavorful and delicious ceviche I had ever tasted! And the tacos -- OMG -- small, but incredibly rich in flavor.
While we were eating, a gentleman came in (the owner?) and checked on us and asked how we liked the food -- we told him it was amazing. He then told us about their al pastor tacos and brought us a sample of the meat -- it literally melted in my mouth, it was so tender, juicy, and oh so good!
I know this place doesn't look spectacular, but looks are deceiving. Stop in and give it a try. Excellent food & service! read more
