I love this place by its great coffee!! I drink only decaffeinated coffee and it is quite difficult to find a good tasted coffee, so this is the place. All the pastries are expensive and unfortunately not so great, maybe only the sweet monkey bread. Also they have nice small sandwiches. Visiting Connecticut from Miami on vacation. Was craving some local coffee too get a taste of some local roasts and was not disappointed by my first visit. Cute interior with a very cozy and well decorated vibe. Greeted with a fairly large roaster and a plethora of upscale coffee equipment (La Marzocco Strada for those who care). I had a hand pour-over to taste their Kenya bean. I did not ask the baristas what the details were of the bean but I could tell it was a medium-light roast with notes of citrus and it had a bright finish and clean body. I was very happy with it. My girlfriend ordered a vanilla chai latte and it was it was good. Not sure what the local coffee scene is here but from what I've found online this seems to be the best local roaster that I could find and would definitely recommend it for coffee lovers. read more

What I liked about the cafe is the variety of seating options (you may think coffee is the most imp part of a coffee shop but no it's the seating atmosphere that makes it stand out) depending on the mood ur in take a seat...my fav is the quite little nook, a hide out if you don't want to be bothered while reading a book or something. They offer a wide selection of pour over coffee. I'm sure ur familiar with espressos and cappuccinos but have you heard of "cortado" it's like a latte but not as milky. You learn something everyday.... The no of years I've wasted explaining the very same to a barista and they ask me "oh so you want a latte" now I can say "No, I want a cortado".... The well-trained baristas are excellent. The ambience is awesome. Only one negative. We used to like to get a pastry along with the drinks. Then the one we liked, a chocolate one, which has a molten center, we got two, on different occasions, which were dry as a bone. We were regulars, every single day, but they didn't offer us a refund or replacement, and that was even with acknowledging that they had perceived a problem with that couple of batches. It's months ago now, and I'm just getting around to reviewing, but being as we are loyal customers, I thought that was not good to fail to stand by their products. Can't fault the drinks, but we will never buy any pastries there again. We sometimes buy a wrapped biscotti. That's about it. read more

I have been here twice now. The espresso is delicious!! The cortado is my favorite, with whole milk. My biggest issue is that there are flies everywhere. They were walking and flying in and around the pastries in the glass display. The staff could have kept the sliding doors closed to prevent that. I opted to get a slice of cake from the counter instead that was covered with a glass dome instead. The lemon cake was great but the olive oil cake was not so good. It was too dense and heavy. The breakfast sandwich with egg and avocado could have used more flavor, or at least some salt and pepper. I would go for the espresso. That's it. They have a lot of drink options. read more

Ordered: pancakes; got COLD pancakes; waiting time 20min. Ordered: cappuccino; got BLACK coffee, waiting time 15min. I had some extra time to kill before I could check in to my hotel, so I decided to explore the city. Whenever I travel, I like to find a local (non-Starbucks) coffee shop, and this place did not disappoint. I ordered a cappuccino, which was great, and a frittata. The food was a bit dry, but I probably should have asked for it warmed up. They didn't do that automatically, so definitely recommend requesting that. The interior has a nice comfortable vibe, with people working on laptops via the provided wifi and others just passing through. The decor has a bit of an artsy/hipster feel, with a giant coffee grinder that can be viewed behind a large plexiglass barrier. Also, I loved the interior brick along the backside of the barista area. If you are visiting, or passing through Greenwich, check them out!! read more

If you want a good coffee and tasty light breakfast this is a great spot. I ordered a cappuccino and the cheddar and avocado breakfast sandwich and was very happy with both. However, it is not a good spot if you are looking to work and need service to do so. I was not able to get good reception inside and contrary to the amenity description they do not have wifi available for customer use. I also could not find any accessible outlets. Regardless of that, it's a really nice cafe with ample seating, good coffee, and good food. read more

This place deserves 5 stars. Their decor is well thought out. The canvased photos, displayed coffee roasters, lighting, and appropriately placed mirrored wall allow for great ambiance. Their team seems to have good control over their workflow allowing for prompt service. Their overall customer service is good. From past reviews it seems that others have had issues with their service, I for one did not and they do a great job keeping up with their high demand. The quality of their coffee is remarkable and their choice of tea is also on point. As far as power outlets go I would say if you are lucky enough to find a seat next to one that is great but you most likely will have to come fully charged or with an extra battery pack. Yes their food/drink is reasonably priced considering the location, quality of food/drink, and well thought out decor. Yes I would expect pay a bit more for decor. read more

the turkey classic sandwich is the best sandwich i have had. the bread, i had mine in the ciabatta baguette, was so deliciously toasted, and the dichotomy between the outside crunch and the smooth, perfectly ripe avocado felt too perfect to be real. My drink was made quick and the staff was very kind to not rush me when I didn't know what I wanted and even recommended a seasonal drink. It is not uncommon to be welcomed into CFCF by a dog or two tied up to the chairs outside of the shop, lapping on the water provided by the friendly staff. On warmer days, the outdoor seating provides a wonderful perch to observe the foot traffic and happennings of the popular shopping haven in Greenwich Avenue. The trendy, chic and upscale aesthetic of the shop feels indigenous to a big, metropolitan city. Exposed brick, adorned with oil paintings and other works by local artists, is illuminated by soft, yet warehouse-like, overhead lighting, which provides a candlelit feeling while still providing the book worm plenty of light. The roasters' authenticity is immediately on display as their large, industrial blade-grinder cannot be missed situated behind a plexiglass barrier in the front of the shop. Its museum like exhibition reminds patrons of the dedication and passion of the roasters - which eventually helps rationalize our $5 latte. A diverse and wide menu is best enjoyed to stay, as many of the beverages lend themselves to beautiful in-cup displays, the match in particular. Still, those taking their coffee to-go can expect delicious, rich flavors, totally free of the burnt or stale tastes we often endure towards the end of a batch. While food is not what keeps me coming back to this place, it can be a delightful treat, but do remember to have it heated up by the staff, who will always happily oblige. From a large front table (perfect for penning Yelp reviews) with copies of the latest Wall Street Journal strewn across, to an alcove opened up by a floor to ceiling mirror, socialites, students, academics, and the casual reader can all enjoy the space that CFCF has to offer. I love the coffee here but not the experience with one worker. She is a short Tom boyish young lady who was rude to me today and kind of cold and very unfriendly in the way she treats and speaks to me (a few days ago a few times) Today is the 3rd time but this time it was a bit too rude. I ordered extra shots to my coffee and she repeated what I asked for as though it was a crazy order. Then she said in an very unfriendly tone, " We don't have that drink today. We can't make that for you". I don't understand why she talks to me as though I am offending her or as though I did or doing something bad to her or is she rude with everyone? Dear Greenwhich, Salutations from White Plains! I stumbled across this coffee shop like 2 months ago and I have been coming here frequently because Coffee Labs gets a little boring sometimes! I always order espresso. The first time I came here I got an espresso that was actually an Americano... THEY GAVE ME SO MUCH!! And it was ridiculously watered, so it was an Americano.... Third time I didn't even try to get it because I didn't want to drink americano so I ordered a latte. It was good, nice foam, a little bit dark... It was ok. My girlfriend always orders her iced latte and she even said it was ok. This place is nice because they roast their own beans, but it isn't as good as Labs.
