First of all Tim you rock!!! Last night was my second time here and I can't wait to return. This place is exactly what we needed on the Ave. Not another snobby restaurant, this place has a cozy feel with relaxed atmosphere, great to grab a beer and watch sports on the two large screen TV's. I went with my neighbor we both have adult children and for that reason we enjoyed seeing families with small kids. Finally a place for the young parents where they can feel comfortable, enjoy the food without worrying about disturbing someone. Now the food! For appetizers we ordered fried pickles, potato skins, chicken wings. The fried pickles were delicious, the potato skins were unbelievable in flavor perfectly wedged, and the wings were just as good, if not Better!!!, then, J Timothy's (best in country). I tried the sweet chili flavor and buffalo they were amazing, made fresh from scratch. For main course, we ordered brisket egg rolls they were delicious, the 2pc tender box- the tenders are large and so juicy. I had the ultimate grilled cheese, which was very good but I personally wouldn't order it again because I like my grilled cheese more cheesy and gooey but that's just a personal preference. We will definitely return What I would like to see is cider beer on the menu. Sidenote : the bathroom is very clean.

It's kind of hard to find the first time. Following my map app, I walked around the block, up the stairs, and to the back of the building. Once I was there, it was a great experience, even if the only sights to see outside are the conjoined parking lots below. I was a bit disappointed that they had more beers than what was on the menu, though I liked the selection they had on tap. Where they really shined, though, was the food. I didn't expect to find such a great selection. The fried pickles were a wonderful start, but the fried chicken sandwiches topped that. You wouldn't expect this caliber of food from a brewpub in Greenwich, but let me tell you, I was impressed. Though the sandwiches are made of two tenders, they're cooked perfectly. The heat you ask for is the heat you get, and the toppings will cool you down. If you can't make it to Greenwich, you're missing out on some great food, but they are starting to distribute their beer. I found some of their stuff at a restaurant in Southington.

After several years experience at breweries like Voodoo Brewing and Kent Falls Brewing, Ross accepted a position as a head brewer at Twelve Percent Beer Project in North Haven. He only agreed to take the job if he could simultaneously launch his own brand. He named it "Marlowe" after his maternal grandfather. In October 2022, Marlowe opened as a brick & mortar brewpub in Nyack (NY). Unfortunately it closed six months later due to irreconcilable differences with the landlords. When a location formerly home to Decadent Ales became available in Mamaroneck in 2023, Brian Barclay of Barclay Brewing (another gypsy brewing operation that had worked out of Twelve Percent) jumped at the chance to create his own brewery collective and invited Ross to come on board as a partner. The partnership was dubbed the "New York Craft Coalition" and opened August 2023. In addition to their own brands' beers, Barclay and Ross collaborated on new ones. The union was short-lived, however, with Barclay Brewing moving out of the space just eight months later. Marlowe Artisanal Ales took over the whole space and had their 'Grand Re-Re-Re-Opening' in April 2024. My sons and I recently visited Marlowe Artisanal Ales for lunch. I had previously visited the space when it was still New York Craft Coalition (and even earlier when it was still Decadent Ales). After looking over the menu, my sons ordered and shared the "Basket of Fingers" (chicken fingers, fries, choice of dipping sauce), I had the "Burger Special" (Koji aged beef patty, mushrooms, onions, pepper jack cheese, apple smoked bacon, garlic aioli), and we all shared the "Eggplant Chips" (thinly sliced and fried eggplant drizzled with spicy honey). Everything was fantastic! To wash everything down, I had a draught pours of "While We Wait" (English-style Pub Ale), "Ghost Signatures: Nelson" (New England IPA), and a can pour of "Psychic Cyberwolf 3005" (Imperial Pastry Stout collaboration with Timber Ales). The latter was my favorite! I really enjoyed my visit to Marlowe Artisanal Ales and I hope to return!!

The beers were good - the bartender's recommendations were spot on. The tres leches was amazing! So much flavor and the slightly tart orange on top was key. The fries were crispy. So I made my way to Torch & Crown Brewing Company to quench my thirst and check out more of the New York brewery scene. SPACE: I was really digging the vibes here. Torch & Crown Brewing Company is marked very subtle projecting sign. When you cross the threshold you are transported to an elevated space with a brick-clad back bar, warm moods, neon undertones, and pops of greenery. It was really inviting. SERVICE: I have to say the servers here really made my visit. They were super friendly and personable. I sat at the bar and they made sure my glass wasn't empty and made great conversation during my visit. SIPS: I love a crushable sour. So after browsing the menu, I knew that I had to give the Blueberry Pancake a whirl. Yum! It was bright, a little sweet, a little sour, and just what I needed. Next up I decided to sip on the Bat Flip, because with a name like "Bat Flip" I just have to know what it's all about. It was refreshing and bright! For those seeking a reprieve from the beer menu, Torch & Crown Brewing Company also offers up a full bar! SUSTENANCE: While I had already eaten before my visit, I took a moment to browse the food menu. Whoa! So many delicious options to sink your teeth into. Torch & Crown Brewing Company was a great way to both wrap up and wind down after my whirl wind day in the Big Apple.
