I was so impressed that with his promptness, work, and price that I made a note to use him exclusively, This week the water heater stopped working again. It is 15 years old and the life expectancy of water heaters is 10-15 years, so I thought I would have to replace it. I went to Home Depot which referred me to a service company 300 miles away. They said an electrical permit and an electrician would be required -- true, if it is a NEW installation. The extra $450 made me balk. I decide to call Clear Flo again, figuring there was always a chance that it might be something that could be repaired. Bryan made an appointment, called to say he would be a few minutes late. When he arrived, he immediately checked the circuit breaker (my first guess, too), then removed a small panel on the water heater, pushed a red button, and the problem was solved. Total charge: $0. Fantastic. I only wish I had more problems for him to solve

The service detail and cost all lend themselves to my driving by many competitors to return again and again. It certainly appears that reasonable expectations are in order. I believe this out of the way stop has saved me hundreds of dollars and a dozen hours with less helpful more expensive competitors. It should also be noted that True Value Hardware on Washinton in Cedarburg made the referal to this business. To that young man I owe a debt of gratitude. There is always room for a first rate referal that solves a problem. Tech came quickly, personable and focused on getting the best price for the unit. Gave the best estimate price of the 3 estimates (including his) I had done. Unfortunately he didn't respond to my request for details related to the pricing in his estimate in a timely manner. I e-mailed him and he didn't respond via e-mail or phone. I just found out he left a message on Yelp for me requesting we talk about the questions. Without the answers to the questions I couldn't compare his estimate to the other estimates as an "apples to apples" comparison. The questions: - does the price include all permits - does the price include all taxes - does the price include removal & disposal of the old AC unit & clean up after installation It's unfortunate because with more information I may have gone with him, though one issue I had is that the 10 year warranty offered included only parts, not parts and labor. That may not have been an issue if his price was low enough that the savings over going with someone else was high enough to make the risk of taking on potential labor costs acceptable.
