I had a maintenance appointment scheduled months ago for today between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. No one called or texted to let me know the technician was running late. When I called, I was met with an AI phone system. After repeatedly asking to speak with a real person, I finally reached someone, but she couldn't provide any information because dispatch wasn't responding to her either. As I write this, I'm still waiting for my technician to arrive. The excellent customer service was the main reason I chose this company and purchased a service contract. This experience has been extremely disappointing. At a minimum, current contract customers should have been notified that the company had been sold and reassured that service would continue without disruption. Based on this experience, I can no longer recommend this company.

Where can they improve? That's easy... 1. Clearly, you price based on the service as you should. Some tasks though should not warrant such a premium. Consider coming down about 20%. 2. The sales process - basically everything before getting an expert out - is not optimal if you're someone who knows what needs to get done and just needs "the smart one" to show up and do an assessment. There wasn't pressure; just needless extra steps. 3. I will have to make some adjustments due to observations after Shawn left; it's not his fault specifically, the home had some wonky wiring and the install had some very picky requirements where the use case is going to warrant some changes. Due to the high premium, I can't justify having him back out like I normally would. Ultimately, for electrical, do I recommend? Yes. I just think they have opportunities to improve.

Fast response - diagnostic appointment of AC unit scheduled for early next morning…read more Tech Kayla diagnosed problem quickly and explained options for fixing the AC unit quickly and clearly. Refrigerant was gone indicating it had one or more leaks. I decided to have the refrigerant refilled as stop-gap measure. The total cost for the appointment was $517. It was a failure on my end to not ask if I could have gone with less refrigerant to save money. In the end I'm only using the AC unit for 14 days before having it replaced. Kayla's estimate for repair was approximately $5000 plus a chance for it to be more based on the time it would take to find the leak(s). I decided to go with replacement of the AC unit based on its 11 year age and the approximate cost of $6000 to fix it. Sales person Steve contacted me later that day and scheduled an appointment to get an estimate for replacement. I found him personable and professional and he gave his estimate promptly with the information I needed about it. I had 2 followup questions that he quickly answered. In the end I went someone else for the AC unit replacement, but more because of an option to include switching my furnace to have an electrostatic filter at the same time I did the AC unit replacement. The cost of the AC units were similar. Overall very good diagnostic and fix, as well as quick followup on providing an estimate for replacement.

Unfortunately, our first interaction came due to near carbon monoxide poisoning. We awoke in the wee hours if the am to the lights and sirens of the fire dept arriving because our CO monitors had gone off. Seider was quick to arrived during a huge snowstorm with an emergency weekend call. The corrected a disconnected outlet/exhaust from.our boiler, and were prompt with arranging a follow up service call to correct the issue that caused the exhaust to come off. An issue with the sparking mechanism was causing gas to build up in the unit, from what I could gather. Our technician seems knowledgeable about our unit, and had all of the parts and tools he needed to diagnose and repair it. The prices seemed fair, things were explained well and a detailed invoice was provided. Despite high demand during a major storm, they were able to correct our immediate safety issue in a timely fashion. We felt well cared for, and would definitely use them again.

Friday the 14th of August I reached out for an update, got the run around because the scheduling person wasn't there. The two guys that were working on my house on September 1st were shouting at eachother, calling eachother names, criticizing what and how they were doing the work, one of them threatened to stab the other, threw things down the stairs, and didn't install the vanity light and fan and heating lamp on seperate switches. They stated they would get back to me that same day about a resolution (IE, either some money back or getting the switch situation fixed.) That was September 2nd. Even though my furnace was not making any unusual noises, smells, or setting off my carbon monoxide detector, I was still concerned as no other condos in my building or nearby buildings were having the smoke/steam. The employee that initially inspected by furnace (Carlos?) informed me that the heat exchange was clogged and would require me to repair the furnace or purchase a whole new unit (I opted for a whole new unit based on its age). Carlos gave me the impression there was no rush and that it was not something that necessarily needed to be done immediately. When the second employee (Dave?) came later that day to take measurements and verify the replacement unit needed, he made it seem almost emergent and began to wonder aloud if he needed to shut my furnace off that day. The stark contrast between the two was alarming and created a bit of a trust issue on who to believe. Carlos seemed a little green and Dave seemed like more of a veteran. Dave eventually determined it did not need to be shut off as no carbon monoxide was entering my condo. The whole experience did create a bit of a panic for me though, so I quickly accepted the only available appointment within the following two weeks. It was convenient that they could get it replaced just five days later, but if it truly wasn't an emergency then I would have liked a little more time to verify I was getting the best price as it wasn't cheap (to give you an idea this is the largest purchase I've ever made behind my home, education, and car). They do offer payment plans that were easy to enroll in, one of which has 0% interest if paid off within a year. I'm not trying to throw anyone under the bus, but I can tell they really want an honest review as I've received multiple texts and emails asking to leave one. The crew that showed up on the morning of 12/24 to install the new unit were quick and efficient. They were respectful of my property and explained the new thermostat to me.
