My car broke down and I paid $86 to have them tow it 17 miles. The tow truck left the pick up location 20 minuted before I did. I arrived at the drop off location and my car was not there. I waited another 10 minutes and called. Maria answered and said she would check the map and he should be here within the next couple minuted then told me she would call me back with an update. Another 20 minutes went by and I checked my cars location and it was 20 miles away from me! Called again and she said that he should be here in a couple minutes. Checked the location and he is still 20 minutes away. Horrible service, dishonest employees. Do not recommend at all!! read more

I have AAA, I experienced a lock out. They came to unlock my car. However the exhausted all available options to open the car they said they couldn't do it and they left and I had to call a second Triple A service call and when the guy got here he told me that the guy before from Chacha broke my driver side door handle off . Poor services don't care about customers. I called for a jump-start when the driver arrived he asked me if I had jumper cables. He tried to jump-start my ram cummins diesel with a battery pack. Being waiting 6 hours for a stupid bunch of idiots that run a towing company asking the client what to do. Some kind of professional. All this with AAA apologizing for the bad services. read more

Absolutely worst experience ever. Driver couldn't speak or understand English. He didn't know how to hook our car up right and it was going to ruin the transmission because car wouldn't go into neutral. In his defense, he had a flatbed and we really needed a regular tow truck but there were things he could have done to make it work safely. We were stranded in the heat for 5 more hours after that before Florida Tow reached us. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We called AAA for a tow during all the flooding and storms Sept 4, 2025. Cha Cha Xpress assured us they were towing, sent a confirmation of delivery of our car and then an invoice. Normal correct business practice. When driving back into Tampa early today 9/5/24-our car is still there in the same spot! Never towed! We tried calling them using the phone number AAA provided them and they were communicating with and they would not respond until I called from the office phone and then Cha Cha hung up on me after trying to convince me the car was towed!!! We reported this to AAA, and are alerting the proper authorities! read more

I waited 4 hours for tow service thru AAA. If this is a 24 hr tow service, they need more staff. Only 1 driver? The driver that showed up didn't speak English. That's a problem. When he positioned the flat bed to tow my car, he wanted me to drive it up on the bed. I got out of my car and told him he needed to load my car onto the flat bed himself. I don't know why the tow took 4 hours, but I needed to be towed from the stadium area in tampa over to stpete. That was a 20 mile tow. I would not recommend this company. read more

I ordered AAA and the call ended up running till 3am after ordering the tow at 3pm. Then Cha Cha Express called me in the middle of the night to say my car is too low when I expressed it was low in the order. They also called me with a voice changer it sounded like so I was called out of the dead of night to wake up to a call saying they can't tow my car after a 12 hour wait on a call with a voice changer sounding like an evil villain how weird. I waited 3hrs from 6-9:20pm and when they finally arrived there was no daylight in site. The young guy who arrived didn't know English and decided that the car was too far down the muddy hill that it would be considered a "recovery". He called his dispatcher thinking I wouldn't understand the conversation but he specifically told the dispatcher that he didn't want to do that job and the dispatcher responded in Spanish "Forget about it, don't do the job and move on." Mind you, the car was drivable but the tire on the driver side just had a flat so I could not move it closer to the road. Since the job was going to require a little bit of labor he decided he wasn't going to even try. I wasted one of my AAA services because of this joke of a company and had to call AAA again to send someone to analyze the situation. The next Towing company took the car out with no problem!!! read more

I called AAA and and they contacted cha-cha towing for me. unfortunately, the tow truck experienced two flat tires during my tow.., cha cha responded pretty quickly to our problem. ... flat tires can happen to anybody .. I do want to say Sandy their employee was so awesome, he was kind, courteous, considerate, and he worried about my safety as he put the cones and the safety signs out. He checked with me constantly to make sure that I was OK and comfortable , just a top-notch employee. Totally renewed my faith and people especially in these times... I wish everybody employed people like Sandy !!! thank you cha-cha for the experience, even though it was flat tires.. it was nice to see a bad situation handled so professionally.... I will use your service again, and I totally recommend you to anybody who requires a tow. read more

Let me caveat my one-star review as follows: I did not contact Cha-Cha directly. AAA dispatched them on my behalf, and I recognize that everyone has staffing problems right now. My beef is that they changed their story, then didn't show up, then changed their story again. I'm in Tampa at the Lincoln Center, an office building on the corner of Kennedy and Hoover. I requested roadside assistance -- specifically, a tow to my mechanic -- at about 12:30 p.m. Cha-Cha told AAA they'd be there at 2:08 p.m. Well, that meant I wouldn't be able to get back to the office, so I had to call around and cancel a meeting, but there was nothing I could do. Shortly thereafter -- I think a half-hour later or less -- they downgraded the ETA to 3:10 -- two hours and 40 minutes after I contacted AAA. Then (this was the good news), the ETA in the AAA app changed to 2:57 p.m. Thirteen minutes sooner isn't much, but I'll take it. 2:57 p.m. came and went, and at this point I had come back outside in the July Florida.sun to make sure I didn't miss them. At 3:04 p.m., I called AAA, who told me that it would be another hour before "the service provider" could get there. This is also when I learned that service provider was Cha-Cha. I asked AAA to call other service providers and see if they could get here faster. They did. The best offer was 90 minutes out at 4:47 p.m., a full 30 minutes or more after Cha-Cha's third and most recent estimate. I decided to go with the new service provider for two reasons. First, I really had no reason to believe they'd ever show up. This building has 24-hour security. Cha-Cha could keep saying "one more hour" until my phone ran out of juice. Second, my day was already shot, and it was worth a half hour to me not to reward Cha-Cha for misleading me twice. Clearly, they have more business than can handle anyway. It's 3:51 now. We'll see how the second service provider does. I really hope my car and I aren't still here tomorrow. read more

Cha Cha Express Towing to called to my property to provide a jump @ 4 AM. They tresspassed on my neighbors property by walking through their yard and gate and acted like they did not speak english or spanish when my neighbors approached them to find out what was going on. read more

The worst experience I have ever had with any company. Not just any tow company, but any company of any kind. Ever. I called AAA to have my car towed to my mechanic; AAA sent Cha Cha Express. My mechanic, who is about a seven-minute drive from my house, called an hour later and asked where my car was. I called Cha Cha and got a recording. Left a message but never got a return call. I messaged Cha Cha repeatedly through its website and never got a return message. I called AAA. They contacted Cha Cha. Cha Cha said they had delivered my car to my mechanic. I knew that wasn't true but Cha Cha and AAA insisted that's what had happened. I hung up and called my mechanic. He confirmed that he did not have the car and that no tow truck had been there all day. Called AAA again. This time Cha Cha said they had dropped my car at a business across the street from my mechanic. They did not say which business. I called the police to report the car stolen. Finally, four hours after they picked up my car, Cha Cha delivered it to my mechanic. Their explanation -- the third completely different one they had given me -- was that the driver got "slightly confused" and delivered the car to the business next door to my mechanic, which Cha Cha said had the exact same address. The only business next door to my mechanic is a dry cleaner, which obviously does not have the same address. Besides enduring a horrifically stressful day trying to find my car, which by all indications appeared to have been stolen, I now have to wait an extra day to get my car back because Cha Cha didn't get it to my mechanic until nearly 5 pm. I'll be spending probably $60 on Uber rides. Update: When I finally got my car back from my mechanic, a few minor items had been stolen from inside. I now have to worry that whoever had my car all that time took the key and had it copied. They could know where I live because they went through the glove box, where the registration is. So I have to get a new ignition switch and get the door locks changed. Not so much as an apology from Cha Cha Express. read more

After dropping off car I went to get in the truck and he looked at me like I was crazy. I asked if he had another call he said yes. I gave him $20 and started walking. Ordered tow through AAA. Learned from the night before that AAA sucks and you have to call the towing company directly if you want them to show. It did take a few calls to get someone on the line, but when I did she was very helpful. I was in a tight spot and was able to get towed much earlier than estimated. Do NOT use this company. They backed into our internet box and ripped it out of the ground and when the driver was told what he did, he looked, and drove off anyway. I wish that I could leave a rating of lower than zero. These idiots were used by a friend of our ours to tow a Jeep Cherokee from our front driveway that we were storing for him. When they were trying to position their tow truck to to tow the Jeep they ran over the Frontier internet box that was in the ground and crushed everything inside of it. And to make matters worse they got the front bumper of the stupid tow truck caught on the hub pole for our internet and then proceeded to back out pulling the entire hub and my internet's infrastructure out of the ground. Our friend tried to stop them to let them know the damage that the tow driver caused but the guy just shrugged his shoulders and pulled of with the Jeep leaving a mess of cabling and fiber all over the side of the road along with the hub pole that he pulled out of the ground. I tried to contact the towing company and got some woman on the phone who claimed to speak only Spanish but I was able to get her to quickly start speaking English when I told her I might get the cops involved. This company is disgusting. How do you cause such damage and then just not care and pull off leaving a mess for someone to clean up and fix. Now I have been without internet for almost a week because I'm waiting for a construction crew from Frontier to come out and repair my internet infrastructure. I'm not done with this yet. I have Cha Cha Towing's business license number and will report them to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I am a AAA member and have unfortunately had 2 experiences with Cha Cha Express. The main problem is, any communication or any attempt at giving any important directions to the Cha Cha Express tow drivers is impossible, they all speak Spanish and do not understand a word of English. Very polite and friendly, but errors and mistakes in leaving a car at the wrong location seems to be a lack of critical understanding. We had one driver in our parking lot lost and just circling around, he was in the AAA white tow truck with Cha Cha Express also indicated , we tried to help with directions but none of us spoke Spanish and he could not understand us. Minutes later he was still driving around lost, stopping at different locations and somewhere there was a AAA customer still waiting! read more

My car was stuck in a sink hole. I placed a call to AAA, this tow service was "supposed" to come tow my car but they put it in that they towed my car and cleared the call. There was a second dispatch made to this same tow service, after waiting 8+ hours they did the same thing again. My car is still in a hole and I received no service and this has used two of my AAA service and no service was provided by Cha Cha Towing. This is frustrating and unsatisfactory and I do not recommend using this tow service. read more

Absolutely horrible experience with Cha Cha Towing today. I called AAA and let them know that my car was immobile and could not be put into neutral to tow and would need to be put on "skates"...AAA advised that was fine and let Cha Cha towing know. When the Cha Cha towing rep called me to verify the tow, I also advised her that the car was immobile and needed to be put on "skates" and she said that was fine. When the driver arrived he didn't speak any English, and handed me a waiver to sign which stated that even though my car wasn't damaged that if they damaged it in any way during the loading, unloading or the tow, that I would assume all responsibility for the damages and waive any ability to make Cha Cha liable...I refused to sign the waiver and spoke with the supervisor who told me that it was up to the driver to decide if he wanted to tow it without the waiver bc, in the event of any damages, he would be personally responsible for the repairs/cost of the repairs and it would be taken out of his paycheck...The driver literally got in the tow truck without saying a word and drove away while I was still on the phone with the supervisor...ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!! The supervisor said that "she understood but there was nothing she could do"...One of the worst customer service experience I've had in a very long time...I called AAA to let them know what happened and about all of the complaints listed here and elsewhere and they stated that they were sending the information for review to determine if they were going to remove Cha Cha towing from their vendor list.
