Inside Regular Aloo Mutter sandwich
Ulyana K.

The place is solid, but they have just newly opened. They are still smoothing out the delivery process and what not, so I have a little bit of feedback. I tried their aloo mutter (potato with peas) sandwich as well as the Ferro Rocher milkshake. The sandwich was really good. The bread was pretty crispy and well-charred. The aloo mutter patty was creamy on the inside, and a little crispy on the outside. It had a nice amount of spice without being overwhelming. I would definitely recommend it, and it's a cool unique item. Portion was good for the price. However, the milkshake feel short. It tasted like chocolate milk with a random piece of Ferrero chocolate floating in it. It's also quite overpriced. When I received this milkshake, it had been packed in with the food for delivery (everything all in one bag), and it spilled everywhere. I would definitely recommend keeping drinks separate for future delivery orders. All in all, the sandwiches at this spot are definitely delicious. However, some items like the milkshakes still need some work. With time, I think this place has a lot of potential.

Had outstanding Samosa Chaat & Alu Tiki Chaat. Service was great as well as ambiance. To top it off, the big screen was playing IPL!!!

I wouldn't say anything in particular was the best ever, but everything was really good, which in itself is just awesome. The paneer tikka was good. Nice a flavorful. The palak chaat was fine - I'd say it was mostly just palak pakoras and didn't really have much of a flavors of a chaat. Proabably this was the only somewhat disappointing item. The paneer lababdar was really good. Asparagus kofta was probably the even better, and then the dal makhani was also good. We ordered naan in a couple of batches and enjoyed it most when they brought it out really fresh out of the tandoor. The bullet naan was really good. Garlic naan was good too. Really nice people and thoroughly enjoyed this Mother's Day feast.

The space is primarily bench like seating so keep that in mind. Service was a tad slow as we waited a bit to place our order and for the food to come out. The menu was varied, which I appreciated. I had granny's chicken, which had good flavor. The spicy naan was mild in my opinion, though others in my party thought it was too much to pair with a 7 spice level. Parking out front is easy. Okay option.

I have never had any problems with the food there, and I have severe Celiac Disease. I order the appetizer Rasam Vada, and either the the Butter Masala Dosa, or Masala Dosa( I prefer this one). The helping are generous, so be hungry. The smell of the dosas are amazing.

We came to visit the Pittsburgh Temple, and before going to our hotel, we visited Udupi café…read more. Everyone was hungry and wanted to eat some good Indian food... this place was really close to the Temple.. It was actually packed when we went at around 2 PM... parking facilities could be better.. cars kinda gets stuck with the short and narrow pathway.. seating arrangements were really good inside the restaurant.. Service was super good. Once we order the food, it comes really quick... they quickly made eight of us sit and took the order.. overall we were in and out, in about an hour.. For everything we ordered we got the same Sambar and chutney . Sambar taste could have been better . I know it's udipi style but was less salty . Chutney taste was average . Onion Rava was actually good... bisibela bath - was good. Apart from these everything else was just ok . I ordered the special veg thali and except the dhal , most of the items was average . Tasted more like bachelor cooking those days (mess type food ).. Overall the service was good but taste could be better . 3 stars !

You like traditional goto, must have, sandwich from Pittsburgh? If you do, this place is for you…read more This place was started by Joe Primanti in 1933 to feed shift workers from the local warehouses (coal and iron) and railroads. They are known for big sandwiches which now includes fries and cole slaw. The sandwiches provided value to workers...who were looking for a place to feed themselves to keep their energy up for a long shift. When you sit at the bar and you can only imagine the workers that sat here to feed themselves with what little they had. They found a sandwich between two pieces of soft Italian bread with a good balance of meat, cheese, cole slaw and fries...think energy and value. The history here is real and intense. Would I rate this as a culinary destination? Not particularly but I would say it's a must see to be part of US history as the town righted itself and came to life. The sandwich? I had the pastrami with cole slaw, egg, fries and tomato on Italian bread. Remarkably, the sandwich was light...despite it sounding heavy. The cabbage and tomatoes bring a great balance to the sandwich which makes it messy and remarkably light. Be prepared to get messy..so eat fast! I am probably talking too much about the sandwich...just go try it. The food is probably a 3.5 but it gets the extra .5 for the amazing history there. The service was great...well educated on the product, accommodating in every way. If you are in Pittsburgh, this is a must try.

As an out-of-towner, Primanti Bros. was one of the places I had to try while visiting Pittsburgh…read morebecause of all the hype. Unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. I ordered the New Yorker, and it tasted like a basic sandwich you could get just about anywhere. Nothing stood out or made it worth the hype. I also tried the Angus Sirloin Steak & Cheese, and it was dry, bland, and lacked flavor. Definitely skip that one. To make matters worse, the service was slow and the staff came across as rude. Between the long wait and the unfriendly attitude, the overall experience was disappointing from start to finish. I'm glad I can say I tried it, but once was enough. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend it based on my experience.
