    Chicken Curry
    William S.

A friend took me here because she swears by it and I'm glad she did! Really solid Indian food, I kinda panicked and got the chicken curry but it was excellent. Got it at a 6 spice level and it was the perfect amount. The service was great, really friendly waiter. As for ambience the walls could use a paint job but you're not there for that. Really solid Indian spot would go back.

Still my fave Indian buffet in Pittsburgh! Weekday lunch buffet 11-3 is smaller than weekend buffet Fri-Sun. Lots of choices, some vegan. Yummy!

First time here, the food is ok, not many choices but taste good. However, they should update the time of buffet on Yelp and Google. The time for buffet is different than the open time of the restaurant. I have attached the time of buffet for you guys references. I came at 7:30 pm, and realized that the buffet is closed at 8:00 pm. I asked the front desk to confirm the closing time for buffet, but he did not give me a straight answer, but said "you still have time" instead. I thought they close the buffet at 10:00 pm like on Yelp or Google as normal business. The food was cold, and not being refilled- since they are about to close. I think the food will be better if they are heated. I still have a tip, but not a good experience thought. May try it again.

Seems like I only get here once a year and on a Sunday. Looks like they did some work inside. Decent selection of items as always. Something's seemed to have changed. I don't know how to explain it, but there was a different vibe to the place.

If you go up McKnight you've driven past this spot without realizing. Just like I have for years. This is your sign to stop and go in now. Especially during their lunch buffet which I will be returning for after eating here It's a nice sit down inside and our waiter was super friendly and funny. But ball buster. Practically everything on the menu is made glute free as well (I assume someone in the family has Celiacs) The lamb keema I got as an appetizer and it was so flavorful. No super greasy from being fried, very flakey and packed with filling The mango curry was spot on. Creamy, flavorful and right amount of spice. Garlic naan. It's naan. It's amazing and always should be. Only complaint was he forgot to bring it out but it was ready in minutes The desert I got is called Rasmalai and it's pretty much a soup dessert. There's two cheese dumplings in a milk syrup

Recently visited for the Thursday all-day buffet and had such a pleasant experience. We told the staff member at the front of house that we were there for the buffet, and he showed us to a table and immediately brought us water and pointed us to the buffet itself. The space has been freshly painted/modernized since I'd last visited, and it looks really nice inside! The buffet was well-stocked with varied dishes, both hot and cold, as well as chutney and other accompaniments. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the service was friendly! We ordered mango lassis during our meal and those were also extremely good. You have the option of not dining with the buffet on a Thursday, as we saw a few tables that were opting to order from the menu, but I personally love the ability to sample all sorts of great stews and curries rather than ordering just one. I believe it was $18 pp for the buffet, which feels like an excellent deal for an AYCE meal. The buffet is offered every day for lunch (to my knowledge), as well as all-day on Saturday and Sunday in addition to Thursday.

Take a ride to Flavortown.... Yes using G.F's reference is a bit cheesy, but the food at Taj Mahal is anything but. I stopped in for the lunch buffet and as soon as I walked in all my senses were tingling, and in the good way. There were 3 seperate food areas with a ton of delicious looking items. I did not know what 90% of the dishes were, but everything looked so good and the aroma was so intoxicating that I sampled every single thing they had on the line. By the time I was finished I felt like a local stepping off the train in Mumbai. All the food was absolutely delicious and each dish prepared so beautifully. The service was top notch, I never needed for anything and my server also made some excellent suggestions, as to my eating experience I would definitely go back for the buffet. Prices were good for what you got and who knew I loved goat curry, Aloha

It seemed to attract a lot of nearby people on their lunch breaks as well as students. I went in late December so it wasn't too busy and I found parking around the corner. I ended up ordering: - Warm HK milk tea: I found this overly sweet overwhelming the milk tea - Pork with egg: This was under the HK menu with the char siu, crispy duck, and chicken option. What I got was not what I was expecting (char siu and boiled egg). The plate was more egg drop soup with pork and peas. It also had a sweet flavor. - Dim sum for one: Sui mai was decent. Har gao was off. They must have put something meant for the dessert dumpling into it. Coconut didn't have the mochi consistency I was expecting. It was very soft, not at all sticky or chewy. Staff was really nice. I just didn't enjoy my meal, unfortunately.

This restaurant in Pittsburgh offers dining in, to-go, and catering. As of May 2026, the prices are $58 for a churrascaria dinner, $34 for a salad dinner, $37 for a churrascaria lunch, and $24 for a salad lunch. Desserts and beverages cost extra. For many years, Texas de Brazil has been one of our favorite chain restaurants, and my husband and I have eaten many meals here. For our most recent visit, we ate dinner. The gauchos brought meats to our table before we flipped our cards from red to green, and later they were slow in bringing other meats. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our favorite salad-bar foods--potatoes au gratin, jasmine rice, feijoada black beans, and lobster bisque--and our favorite meats--picanha, flank steak, filet mignon, and beef ribs--as well as the cheese bread. They also served chicken, lamb, pork, etcetera. I would prefer that we have been given more choice over how cooked the meats were. Money-saving advice: We purchased a $100 Texas de Brazil gift card off Costco for $80, and it covered much of the cost of our meal.

It was not crowded at all, given the time of day. We were immediately seated and able to begin building our plates. The restaurant is large, and enough space for a larger party. I thought there were a good amount of choices, with a lot of variety so that anyone would be satisfied with their meal. The food was hot, and they were attentive to refilling things as they were emptied. My personal favorites were the various chickens, and the Crab Rangoons. There were some more unique items that were fun to try as well, such as the Seafood Salad and even some sushi offerings. The wait staff was quick and kind. Our drinks were refilled frequently, and they came to check our table multiple times. It is a small operation, as the wait staff was also refilling the buffet trays as they were emptied.
