We just recently moved to the area and were wanting some Indian food but didn't want to drive to far. We ended up coming here on a Friday night after we settled in after the move. This restaurant is located in a shopping mall close to Safeway and Costco. We arrived and the place was empty. We were a bit afraid since there was no body there. We were greeted immediately and got to sit where ever we wanted. This place has comfy booths which I like because its more comfy. The reason why I didn't give this place five stars because all their beer on draft were out of order. But hey, its ok, we ordered the Indian beer large bottle which was about a pint each. We ordered the Briyani and the wrap with chicken. If you are not prepared to eat something spicy, do not ask for that!!!!! Big mistake!! It was so good but it did hurt my tummy a bit. I know Indian food is suppose to be spicy so I cant complain! The wrap was really good, kinda skimpy on the wrap itself. The crackers or whatever those things are in the plate are disgusting. Like why? Maybe call them crackers instead of fries. The price and the amount was a bit on the pricey side, but I am used to paying about $20.00 a plate at this time and age. read more

Got the chicken tikka masala lunch deal and samosas. Price point was decent. Even though there wasn't a lot of chicken in the masala it was still delicious and piping hot. Not much to be expected with the ambiance.. very bland and basic, which isn't a big deal to me. BUT, they NEED to pay attention to cleanliness! I sat by the window and it was dusty, dirty and full of dead bugs! Seating was sparse, so I didn't move to a different table. The restroom was extremely cleaned and stocked. This small restaurant was very nice inside and the aroma of curry made me feel good about my decision to stop by. The lunch special is a great deal if you visit during the week. Excellent food! I don't eat Indian food often but I would love to see this place do well. Chicken Tikka Masala, Samosas, and garlic naan are my usual go-tos. I love how they have many vegetarian options as well. I recommend the Channa Masala and the Dahl Tadka - both delicious vegetarian options. Super tasty too! Service was good. Ambiance is nice. We have been going to Chaats for almost 20 years now and love it, it is close to Costco and we always get an order to go when we go next door to Costco. I like the chicken tika masala and my wife loves the eggplant koorma and we get the chutneys in the fridge too(you have to ask for them). Overall I'd say this place is decent, not the best I've had, but certainly not the worst either. Tried the following dishes Chicken tikka masala-- tender white meat chicken, tender, not the juiciest but also not dry either. Medium spicy is not very spicy could go up on the spicy level. The flavor as a whole is a bit weak. There aren't that many actual chicken pieces for the amount of curry. Butter Chicken -- tender dark meat chicken, tasted pretty similar to the tikka masala, also with not that many chicken pieces. Vegetable pakora-- pretty good portion size, tastes best fresh fried, didn't fare too well as takeout but that's not a fault of the restaurant Saag Paneer-- pretty good, mild spicy level is not enough in my opinion Vegetable Korma-- lots of spices in this one, not bad overall Assorted naans-- in my opinion onion naan is the best of the 3, packed full of red onion pieces Compared to other Indian places in the area this is on par or slightly better. Delicious Indian food. We love the butter chicken and the Tikka Masala, and my son won't stop talking about the cheese naan!

I was so relieved to see that this restaurant was still open after the COVID pandemic. The last time I visited was pre-pandemic days and we visited with my family. We were reminded of the restaurant because of the sign they put up on our way to Costco. I am so glad they put that sign up! We had a fantastic lunch on Saturday and was able to take advantage of the lunch Thali special. It did not disappoint! I had the butter curry and my wife had the goat curry. Every dish was fantastic. Our little 6 year old enjoyed the food as well. Don't miss out on the chai and the mango lassi. Those are always good. To top it off the service there is the best. My fiancé and I had the cheese naan, veggie tikka masala, paneer pakora for our meal then mango ice cream and ras malai for dessert. We also had mango lassis for our drink and they were amazing. The cheese naan and veggie tikka masala reminded me of a variation of a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup with Indian spices. The paneer pakora was okay. They reminded me of pizza rolls. The texture was a bit sponges. The green sauce was fantastic. The star of our meals was the mango lassi. So refreshing, creamy, not too sweet, had a nice amount of tartness. The ras malai was a sweet ricotta cheese dessert with sweet milk syrup. It reminded me of tres leches but a spongier texture than cake. The mango ice cream was a bit sweeter than the mango lassi, but still had a strong mango flavor. Overall, the food was exceptional. A lot of the flavors are different than what I normally eat, and the dessert was like no other I've had before. Would love to try more Indian desserts after this experience. We walked into the restaurant on a Sunday and it was completely empty. Restaurant was exceptionally clean. Waitress gave me and my husband a partial smile. Sat down and received water with no ice. Several minutes passed and she did not return to take our drink order. I was sad because it was not a welcoming experience. I am not surprised that the restaurant was empty. Small, clean, cozy place. We came in and there was no greeting, no person in the front counter. Proceeded to sit ourselves then after a few min a young lady came and handed out rhe menus. We had to ask her to provide us with a cleaning wipe to clean the table, it had greasy markings just like another table we were going to sit at. I have had 4 dishes from there.. it's authentic.. the chickpea curry was a takeout item I took to a gathering and it was well received good hey on it.. The first dish I tried a while back was a lamb curry.. I tried it on another occasion, I wanted to give it a fair shot.. the last time I got a chicken curry, flavor was good, I was sadly not impressed. The lamb was tough, the chicken was over cooked. Honestly, every Indian dish is just packed with a bunch of flavors, so my only suggestion is to step out of your comfort zone and order something other than a Chicken Tikka Masala or Tandoori Chicken. Anywho, our Chicken Korma may looked like a small dish, but the amount of chicken we got, fit perfectly for my sister and I. The chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful. Presentation of our dish was nice, too. Simple yet picture worthy in my opinion. Service was great. After a three-hour study session, my friend and I decided to satisfy our hungry bellies at this restaurant. Despite living in the area for a while, this was mine and my friend's first-time dining at Chaats Cuisine. I was impressed with the customer service we received here. The woman taking our orders was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. My friend and I don't eat Indian food too often, so we asked her for suggestions. She knew exactly what was in each item she suggested and gave out wonderful meal suggestions for the both of us. She was also attentive to our needs, which is wonderful. Our food turned out delicious! We both cleaned our plates and even ordered extra garlic naan! Thanks to Yelp, we both shared my free dessert. I'm not well versed when it comes to Indian food but I'll say a couple things on this place. Is the food good? Yes... I've enjoyed everything I've tried there. For those that like spicy food though make sure you tell them to crank up the heat. Im in the middle usually and even at their spicy level I thought it was a little weak. If you don't like spicy food then you're good to go. There's plenty of sitting. It's nothing fancy. I haven't been in there yet to find it crowded but I'd imagine it would take a while for food if it was based on my waiting period. Came on Sunday around 11am and it was empty even after we finished. Where is everyone on this Sunday morning? The waitress was friendly, occasionally checking on us without being too overbearing. I wished they had the lunch specials offered on weekday as it was a little pricey. The butter curry chicken was $12.50 and the lamb Tikka Masala was $14.50, which included the rice or naan. Both curries were decent and the rice a bread was as expected. Tip - When you check in on yelp, they give you a free mango lassi drink, a bit on the sweet side but still worth checking for.
