husband and I stopped by this restaurant after visiting Napa Valley because we were looking for an Indian restaurant nearby. As people from an Asian background, we were excited to try the food, but the experience turned out to be one of the worst restaurant experiences we've had. First, the customer service was terrible. There was barely any greeting when we walked in, no smile, and no sense that they cared about customers at all. It felt very unwelcoming from the start. We ordered naan, chicken tikka masala, and rice. Usually rice comes with chicken tikka masala, but they charged us separately for it, which already felt misleading. On top of that, the naan they served tasted stale, like it had been sitting around for a long time instead of being freshly made. The worst part was the food quality. After eating there, both my husband and I got sick. I had diarrhea and severe stomach pain for two days afterward. That's completely unacceptable for any restaurant. Between the rude service, stale food, and getting sick after eating there, this place was a huge disappointment. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Wowed by the amazing classy interior, looks like a fine dining restaurant. Everything is fancy, bowl, plates, silverwares, gold spoon, so far the best indian restaurant I have seen. We ordered a chicken tikka masala, plain and garlic naan, and shrimp biryani spicy. The chicken tikka masala is good, the naan is the best I have seen and tasted! its perfect! It's crunchy, ready to eat portion, delicious, not the usual naan bread I usually eat. The chicken tikka masala is just right with lots of chicken in it. I dip the naan to the tikka masala. The shrimp biryani is good but uncomparable to my favorite from Naan n Curry. We were the only customers during a weekday late afternoon, good customer service. Had the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and Chicken Biryani. The chicken in the tikka masala didn't seem like it had been marinated, but the sauce was flavorful but not all that spicy, which is what we ordered. Garlic naan was fine, lastly the chicken biryani was kinda bad, granted I've only had it once before at a different place. The rice was over cooked and clumped together flavor was tangy and also bland texture was all over the place. Can't say much about the service since we got it to go, seemed like only one person working there. Place looks nice, but it was empty for a weekend night. This was my first voluntary foray into Indian food dining for many years and omg, it was INCREDIBLY tasty. This place is very cute inside and extremely clean, the food was so good we could barely stop eating when full. It was nearly empty inside the restaurant and I don't understand how or why- WHERE WAS EVERYONE THIS PLACE IS GREAT! There was definitely a big language barrier with the waiter who didn't say much, but I asked him to help me choose an appetizer and his recommendation was on point, and there was no translation needed for our big smiles and the thumbs up I shot his way once we had dug into our food. We ordered: Samosa chaat appetizer, tandoori mixed grill skillet, paneer tikka masala, shrimp biriyani, garlic naan I am so excited to put this into our regular dining rotation and I hope others will too- I want to see more people in there with us next time! read more

New to the area and was craving chicken tikka masala! I was not disappointed by Mirchi Indian Grill's service, prices, and portion size. I ordered takeout through grub hub and it was nothing less of a great experience. Mirchi sent the food hot and flavorful. The naan was so fresh and so good. Long review but needed to be done! As a General Manager of a fine dinning restaurant I need to share my experience. Took my dad to Mirchi Indian grill this past Sunday 05/25/25 for special occasions. After 45 mins of driving when we got there I was told that they are not seating guests because they had AC problem which was not mentioned online. It said they were open. I asked we are ok with that can we still have a table was told no because they also don't have server but food Togo was available. So we ordered and waited about 20 mins to get it. Once it was ready we had to wait for somebody to come and charge us as only the guys in the kitchen were there to cook food and they didn't know how to use system to charge. The person that came to charge me didn't know I do speak the language (Hindi) and he was scolding the kitchen guy why he doesn't know how to charge a customer. He kept saying in Hindi I'm a cook I work in the kitchen but the man was just mad at him. So finally after long ordeal I paid and left. Once back at home pulled food out to find out my appetizers and naan (bread) was completely burnt. The chicken tandoori was sweet and had sautéed veggies on top which made it more sauce than tandoori. I called the restaurant multiple times and finally got hold of someone who answered the phone. Explained to him that my order was burnt he asked me to sent pictures which I've added to this review. Btw he claimed his name is Mike. Asked him for a phone number where to send the pics to. He said give me your number I'll text you in 20 mins as he was busy so I can reply back with pics. So it's been 2 days now no text from Mike and also when I call them back no answer!! Which means they noted my number and do not want to answer me and lied to me. This is the problem of an Indian person who claims his name is Mike lol and own or runs restaurant. He's a complete liar! He did not get back to me because I asked him for some compensation for the burnt food as I spent over $100 there. So not only they ruined our special occasion wasted our time gave us burnt food and lied. They have no respect for their customers Just be careful with these people at this restaurant. read more

I'd like to be able to rate the food but here is a rating on service. We brought a friend from out of town to try this restaurant last week at 7PM. There was only one table already occupied and there were three of us. The waitress insisted the three of us had to sit at a little table for two that she pulled a chair up to since the other table" was for 4". We sat down and realized with plates, serving dishes, drinks etc. there would be no room but she was not going to let us move. SO they lost a customer right out of the gate. With what prices to go out cost these days I will never go back there, especially since Kohinoor is right in town. They are so nice there and the food is good. We went to Mirchi after many years. The food was excellent, especially the lamb briyani. The plain naan was super soft and thick. The tikka masala and navaratna korma was good as well. The ambience was welcoming with well curated decor. There was only one server and she was attentive despite how busy she was attending the phone orders. In my previous reviews, I mentioned that the water bottles were free with your meal. This is not the case. I brought my sister for dinner and they offered us two water bottles. One was already open so we had to let the waiter know to replace it. We heard the table next to us mention the same thing, so not really sure how they handed out TWO open water bottles to their diners without realizing. When we got the bill I realized they actually charge $1/per bottle... Didn't feel like disputing it, but I feel like this is something that should be mentioned when they hand you the water, so you can decide if you want it or not. $1 isn't a big deal but it feels like a sneaky method to incur additional charges. The food is delicious, but service is lackluster, especially at dinner time when there is one waiter/host and a bunch of people waiting for take out orders. read more

The food is excellent. I've come here for years. However, the front is understaffed and a significant training or language issue needs to be addressed. We were seated; one other family in the restaurant. My sister had traveled many hours to visit. Regrettably we were then ignored and sat for a half hour waiting for our order to be taken. An unhappy pick up customer was disputing his bill for a side of Raita and he and the lone server/cashier/host were unable to come to any resolution. It became so uncomfortable that the other group walked out after 15 minutes of arguing. I went up and offered to just pay the $10 in dispute so that we could order but was rebuffed by both parties. Other staff came from the back, phone calls were made, further argument, another person arrived. Interminable. I again requested that we be allowed to order and get on with our meal. Loudly. The obviously flustered waitperson came over and had me point on the menu the items we wished to order. I felt sorry for him. Somehow the dispute was settled and the unhappy customer departed. Either Mirchi is placing unqualified or untrained staff at the front, or these guys were both having a bad day simultaneously. Needless to say, it colored our experience. read more

Terrible service my family has come here several times and every time the service gets worse and worse. Last time we came to this place the server told us they had many phone orders and we had to wait for 15 min before our order was taken. We come here quite often from San Francisco and have the same server. I believe he's the only server of the whole place. The server knows my husband is a vegetarian and only eats paneer dishes. He had us sit and wait for 15 min to order then came to take our order and as my husband ordered our usual the server told us the restaurant had no paneer. So why not tell us before seating us? He had us sit and wait he knew what he was doing being spiteful. also every time we came here the bathrooms stink like a porter potty they never have soap. and they clearly never clean them we will never come back here again. I'm only giving this place 4/5 stars because it was my first time going and I got the food to go. I didn't get to experience the service in the restaurant and being able to sit down. From the front, the service was a bit slow, waiting to place an order, pay and wait for the food took about 35 minutes. They were super busy and had DoorDash orders coming in like crazy! The food was delicious, I got the chicken tikka masala with an order of samosas. The samosa was a bit oily, but nonetheless, flavors were good. The restaurant inside looked clean and cozy. This place was quite disappointing and was one of the worse tasting Indian restaurants I've ever been to. That being said, I really enjoy Indian food and think most places are pretty good, so being the "worst" in this case isn't as bad as it sounds. But because my average experience at Indian restaurants tend to be exceptional in comparison to my dining experiences as a whole, it makes this place below average in the grand scheme of things. Before I dive into the food, let me just get a few things out of the way. The service was good and attentive, and the appearance of restaurant itself was on the nicer side of things in comparison to most Indian restaurants. Now to what matters, starting off with the drinks. I went with two other people and we had asked for waters. By default, they gave all of us water bottles - which they charge for. Was this a tactic to raise our bill or do they truly not have drinkable tap water? Quite an unusual thing to do, as this is typically not the standard. I ordered the garlic shrimp curry, as recommended by our server and it was just kinda sad and bland. The mint chutney and pickled vegetables were a whopping $4 each, despite being very small portions. One of my friends ordered a chicken dish and was also disappointed as his chicken was quite dry and compared it to frozen chicken that you'd find at the grocery store. Seeing as other reviews mentioned that this place has the best Indian food they've ever had, I can't help but think that a lot of these people just don't have very much exposure to Indian food to begin with.
