So far I've come here for takeout 3 times in the last 2 weeks! Each time we enjoyed the food. I'm writing a review for my most recent visit and no complaints whatsoever. Well, we learned from our 2nd visit that a medium spicy vindaloo was TOO spicy for us so I made sure I got all my dishes in Mild spice level today. The mild tikka masala was consistent but I would have liked more chicken. Delicious sauce and consistency and perfect with the basmati rice and naan. I really liked the tenderness of the meat in the goat biryani, but again I would have liked more goat meat in the dish. The dining area is spacious and they kept the same tables and chairs from the prior Thai restaurant that this used to be. I appreciate how they added LED lighting, an Open sign at the street window and some large TV screens behind what used to be a bar. Every time I pickup my food, both host/hostesses were really friendly. Whether I'm ordering via phone or online on doordash, it was really simple.

What a nice surprise in this neighborhood. Came for the first tome today, a week after the grand opening. My famiy ordered the following: Pani puri Fish pakora Butter chicken Chicken tikka masala Tandoori chicken Garlic naan Bullet naan Mango lassis I felt like we ordered too much chicken. We really wanted the butter chicken, and ordered the chicken tikka masala for my 9 year old who only eats that. Between all the chicken dishes we got, I definitely recommend the butter chicken. And if you love spice, I highly recommend it with bullet naan. I also never had pani puri, so that was something nice and new to try. My 4 year old really liked the fish pakora and his mango lassi. Our waiter was nice, and overall we had a good experience.

Round 2 for me at Butter Chicken Blockbuster here in Hiddenbrooke. Ate inside the restaurant a few days ago and today we ordered food for pickup. Got the butter chicken, malabari fish curry, baingan bhartha (mashed eggplant), butter naan, raita, and basmati rice. Food was excellent. We will definitely be regulars!

My husband and I were on the hunt for dinner and decided to try the new spot right here in our village. We ordered the Butter Chicken (mild), Garlic Naan, and Samosa -- and we absolutely devoured every last bite. It was incredibly delicious, so filling, and completely satisfying. We will definitely be ordering again!

Excited to have this place in our neighborhood

We were served pretty quickly and the waitress was super friendly and helpful! She made great recommendations, and was super sweet helping us out with choosing desserts. There was light cultural music also playing in the background. A small space, but can easily accommodate at least 8 tables. Solid choices: mango lassi, samosa, butter chicken, lamb curry. The dishes come with white rice, but I recommend getting at least one bread to pair with the food. A bit cheaper price compared to other Indian places in the area, but it's more of a single person's dish, rather than sharing size. Flavor is solid, and I definitely will be back to try other dishes!

They do tend to keep the spice level pretty low (borderline bland), so if you're looking for that real Indian heat, I recommend asking them to make it spicy. The place gives off a hole-in-the-wall vibe--simple setup with regular tables and chairs. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. My go-to dish is the Aloo Paratha and a cup of Masala Chai Tea . This restaurant is located in a shopping mall close to Safeway and Costco. We arrived and the place was empty. We were a bit afraid since there was no body there. We were greeted immediately and got to sit where ever we wanted. This place has comfy booths which I like because its more comfy. The reason why I didn't give this place five stars because all their beer on draft were out of order. But hey, its ok, we ordered the Indian beer large bottle which was about a pint each. We ordered the Briyani and the wrap with chicken. If you are not prepared to eat something spicy, do not ask for that!!!!! Big mistake!! It was so good but it did hurt my tummy a bit. I know Indian food is suppose to be spicy so I cant complain! The wrap was really good, kinda skimpy on the wrap itself. The crackers or whatever those things are in the plate are disgusting. Like why? Maybe call them crackers instead of fries. The price and the amount was a bit on the pricey side, but I am used to paying about $20.00 a plate at this time and age.

Not much to be expected with the ambiance.. very bland and basic, which isn't a big deal to me. BUT, they NEED to pay attention to cleanliness! I sat by the window and it was dusty, dirty and full of dead bugs! Seating was sparse, so I didn't move to a different table. The restroom was extremely cleaned and stocked. Service wasn't good but also wasn't bad. No greeting upon entry really and I was never asked if I needed anything or how I was doing.

Seating area was cozy and relaxing. Everything looked clean and in order. Ordered the samosa chaat and was out fairly quickly, was delicious and had a ton of flavors. Tried the Essence Lamb, best lamb I ever had. Meat was tender and absorbed all the Indian spices. Gravy was delicious and had to order naan to help absorb all that goodness to eat. Will definitely be coming back here as it was delicious. Also was advised to order Indian spicy, I orders spicy, but they ended up bringing me hot sauce and chili powder. A friend and I met here for lunch to celebrate her birthday and catch up. We arrived right at opening and had the place to ourselves for about an hour. Guests slowly trickled in closer to the lunch rush, but I was honestly surprised it wasn't packed -- because what they're serving deserves more buzz. We ordered the chicken tikka kebab, butter chicken, methi malai shrimp, and garlic naan. I'll admit, I was skeptical about the chicken tikka since I'm not usually a fan of chicken breast (hello, dryness). But this? Tender, juicy, well-seasoned, and paired beautifully with the mint sauce. A strong start. The butter chicken was slightly different from what I'm used to -- more red orange in color, clearly leaning into a stronger tomato base. Creamy, flavorful, and a bit brighter than the typical richer versions. Different, but still very good. And then... the methi malai shrimp. Wow. Just wow. This was new to me and absolutely the standout. The coconut-based sauce was rich without being heavy, beautifully balanced, and full of flavor. The shrimp were cooked perfectly -- tender, not rubbery, and not curled tight (which usually signals overcooking). This dish alone makes the 30-minute drive worth it. I've since checked menus closer to home hoping to find it elsewhere... no luck. The garlic naan was the perfect companion -- flavorful but not overpowering, ideal for scooping up every last bit of sauce from both dishes. Service deserves its own spotlight. The host/waiter was phenomenal -- attentive without hovering. Water glasses stayed filled, he checked in just enough, and at one point mentioned he didn't want to interrupt because it looked like we were deep in conversation. That level of awareness? Appreciated. Smaller, intimate setting. Thoughtful service. Well-executed food. If you're in Vacaville and craving Indian food, give this place a try. In my opinion, it absolutely holds its own -- and maybe even edges out the more "popular" spot in town. And yes, I'll be back for that methi malai shrimp.

My friend and I walked 16 minutes because we were starving and didn't have a car. The reviews looked decent, so we figured it was worth the trek. As we got closer, however, we ended up on a street with a smell that could only be described as a warning sign from the universe. I told my friend, "If the restaurant is on this street, I'm not going in." Naturally, it was. My friend convinced me to at least give it a chance. We walked inside, and while the smell wasn't quite enough to send me running, it definitely wasn't helping build confidence. My friend was fine with it. Later I realized she was simply too tired to walk anywhere else. I ordered the lamb biryani, and she ordered the butter chicken. We also got what was advertised as a green salad. Calling it a green salad felt generous--it was more of an onion convention with a few green leaves attending as guests. The food arrived, and I was so hungry that I would have eaten almost anything at that point. I started enthusiastically. Then something magical happened: as soon as my hunger went away, so did my desire to continue eating. The butter chicken was the biggest mystery of the evening. It tasted nothing like butter chicken. In fact, I'm still trying to solve the case. Was it chicken? Was it butter? Was it an entirely new life form? The world may never know. The lamb biryani wasn't terrible, but it wasn't memorable either. The most memorable part of the meal was trying to figure out what exactly we were eating. There were only two other occupied tables, and they looked just like us--hungry tourists who had followed the reviews and were now silently reevaluating their life choices. As we left, my Indian friends' advice finally came back to me: "If you walk into an Indian restaurant and there are no Indian customers, keep walking." Sadly, my brain remembered this valuable life lesson only after I had already met the world's most mysterious butter chicken. Some lessons are learned the hard way. Others are learned 16 minutes from your hotel while carrying a to-go box you know you're never going to open. On the bright side, the walk there and back counted as cardio, and I left with a story that was more satisfying than the meal. for the adventure. for the food.
