Daughter and I entering Chabot fleas Market!
    Yvette F.

Okay my daughter is all registered and ready for school now we're going to go hit the flea market excited whoot whoot! what kind of good junk they have. Well hopefully we can walk around talk and just enjoy each other time flies she was just born yesterday I mean 2000 how could she already be going to college they grow up too fast alright you guys have a great day cuz I am here I come

    Our booth

Made $290 for 9 hours of work. That's $32.22 per hour! That's more than I make at my daily job. I shared the booth with Christina D over the weekend, who made a pretty penny too. I would totally recommend this to anyone trying to get rid of their household junk. $35 for two parking spaces, $40 for three parking spaces. If you don't think anyone would ever want it, they probably do! New treasure: Family-runned pupusa stand! Long line, but so worth the wait.

    Orchids, tomato plant, plumerias!!

Low reviews ? Why?? It's a flea market people, not Bloomingdales ! Random new kitchen gadgets for $1 or less, orchids for $4 that bloom for months and corn with hot sauce and cheese . That sounds like a good day to me! I don't buy any of the used items that many of the sellers offer here , but there are some great nurseries that have nice house plants, flowers and fruit trees. My favorite orchid seller it the one in the front row. For $10 you can buy 2 orchid plants that bloom for several months. If you don't want to carry them around . You can pick your flowers, pay and come back when you are done strolling the flea market. I even bought a plumeria here from another seller. While this flea market is not as big as the one in Sj, I like to stop by here once in a while to buy plants and dig through the $1 areas. Who doesn't like plants and a good deal ?

Eclectic mix of vendors. Wide variety of product. If you are in the area I would stop by for a fun afternoon. Certainly some bargains there.

My boyfriend and I…read moredropped by on a Saturday, the place is a little hidden, there is a 4 cars parking lot assigned to the thrift store on the side. Looks like the place is run by a couple. The owner was super helpful when we were testing the camera. The condition of the camera was almost brand new, I know they put a lot of work into restoring the camera. We ended up buying the camera since it's in really good condition and he even throw in a free camera bag for it. We also bought a couple of DVDs and comic books too. Now, not everything in this place is cheap. The quality of the items they're selling speak for itself. They have quite a selection of stuff like vintage camera, DVDs, kitchen stuff, toys, novelties, stickers, etc.. We had quite a fun time sorting through everything that interested us. I do recommend checking out this place if you're in the area even if you're not buying anything. We will definitely come back when we have time. Thanks for reading my review :)

I said, I'm calling a thrift store and I don't know if this is who you are. He reply Yes. I said as a business you should say hello this the thrift shop to confirm to people you are a business. He replies, you called me! Rude; after I just explained why he needs to act like a professional and reference the business. I tell him I'm not from Hayward and willing to drive there if you would do a quick look to see if you have any CD players and cassette players for a stereo system, not a boom box. He said he thinks he has some. I explain I am willing to drive if he has some, but don't want to if he doesn't. He say, yes I think we have some. I ask will you please confirm and take a look. He says, I'm pretty sure we have them. I ask how much are they. He says they'er not much. I ask again, would you please check and let me know how much. I see these in other thrift shops for $15-20 dollars. He says his aren't that cheap. I ask how much are yours. He replies more that that. I said that doesn't help me. For Pete's sake, you are not working with me at all on anything I ask. You don't let people know your a business when you answer the phone and argue with them about I called you etc. He is not willing to walk over to physically see if he has a cd or cassette player and not willing to tell me how much he charges. I push him again for a price. He says the CD player and cassette players are over $80 each. I say, that's why I'm asking. I don't want to pay that much. He says his have been gone over and work. I said that doesn't matter to me. What ever shop I buy from, they will take it back if it doesn't work, even at $15. He says I knew you didn't want to spend any money that's why I didn't tell you. I said when someone asks for a price, simply tell them. Don't make drama out of it, that's insulting. Then he hangs up on me. Ask yourself, do you want to be treated this way? Shame on him. He wanted to argue with me about everything. I called him back, of course he didn't take the call. I left him a messaging saying he just earned a negative one star on yelp. You brought it on with you bad attitude. I don' know what position Roberto or Jesus or smoother man? has (answering machine message says she is his daughter leaving the recording. I'm assume it's his business.) It's been along time since I've run into a rude business owner. I've only left one other Yelp review and it was 5 starts. Sorry Roberto, you deserve this review to be read by others.

Individuals kept wondering if the flea market will ever be back... And it did come back! EVERY 2nd/SECOND SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH, March to November, 9am to 2pm And now FREE PARKING! It used to be $2 to park! I gave it the rating I did because/ 1. Since the re-opening, I never purchased a single thing 2. Vendors are all pretty much the same (and it's hilarious some of the faces are familiar and seen at estate sale hunts) 3. Love how they attempt a theme and have added old school cars to the mix! 4. The vendors are not the nicest... they don't budge and are not willing to negotiate (I mean that's the fun of flea markets!) 5. Kind of pricey. Pretty much all antique and used items. A couple of vendors sell new but very "made in China" items 6. Products are often repeated aka the same 7. It's not huge... you could probably walk the entire thing in less than 30 minutes Would I come back? I just love estate sales, rummage sales, flea markets, etc. It's great to walk around especially when you don't have the mindset of "must have to buy"

For summer break we decided to start the day here and find lunch close by. It was much larger and busier than it was in Winter. The great thing is free parking and free admission, the walk from parking to the fleamarket is very close. If you want to sell here the pricing per spot is low and you can pull in easily with your car. I believe each spot is $20 and this fleamarket happens the 2nd Saturday of every month. They do a good job of attracting vendors with that sell newer items in bulk, more classic garage style bring your old junk, plants, antiques, and some food trucks. The coolest thing we did was probably the train ride that goes through the fleamarket and car show. The car show area did smell like something peope like to smoke though :) It does get hot later in the day in Summer so best to come early. We ended up leaving with some nice snacks and old books for the kids.

I wear layered clothing or leggings and a slim fitting top. The store is well organized and sections are clearly marked. As with many thrift stores there are different colors marked down every day please listen for the announcements or check the board. I would recommend grabbing a cart because last time I went I found quite a bit and was carrying around my treasures. As with thrifting you never know what you are going to discover. The last time I went I came out with two fantastic finds one a H&M black cotton dress suitable for work wear and take you straight into evening or happy hour. The ruffle tiered dress I admit I paid more than I wanted to but Google came to the rescue and I saw several original retail prices and I found it over $ 100.00 brand new so I decided to splurge and purchase the dress. Service I can't comment on because I usually don't ask for help and there is self checkout available. But I don't know if my last encounter with customer service I should be flattered or insulted. I was checking out my items and the lady that was working at the front thought I was stealing my OWN jacket that I came in wearing! I said this jacket is mine check the cameras I was wearing it when I came in here! All in all a great thrift store but give yourself time because there is so much to look at. I find if I give myself time I find more treasures rather than just rushing through. Also, keep your finds close at hand with the case of the orange ruffle dress after people saw me put it on they were asking if I was going to purchase it while I was trying it on! There were people definitely waiting for me to put it down. Good Luck and Happy thrifting

An annual tradition in Niles Fremont, this event promises unique vendors and historical vibes for a day of shopping, strolling, and browsing some of Fremont's oldest shops. I was disappointed that most of the goods being sold weren't actually antiques or even solid thrift finds. There were some standouts, such as vintage race jackets and personalized licensed plates from way back when, but for the most part I wasn't too impressed with the inventory. I ended up purchasing 2 cute pins for friends but they were probably things I could have bought elsewhere too. Parking was also a bit of a nightmare, though we had been warned well ahead of time that there wasn't a lot of it. Even though we got there early (7 am) we still had trouble finding a spot. Some storefronts (residents?) were charging up to $20 to park in a small cramped lot. I get that space is scarce for an event like this, but more signage and regulation would have helped. Thank goodness we had gotten there early. Overall, I'm glad I experienced this antique fair once, but as a longtime thrifter looking for something a little more special, probably won't be coming back soon.

Since this town, and Niles Street in particular, is already lined with numerous antique shops, it didn't make much of a difference with merchants selling just a handful of vintage items from these outdoor tents. In fact, there were a plethora of yard sales taking place all around the neighborhood, some which had better stuff than the actual antique faire. We saw about 3-4 food/drink stands selling mexican food, hot dogs, kettle corn, and more. Not a whole lot of options and nothing really noteworthy. We did end up having giant sausages from the Giant Badass Sausage tent for lunch. It was juicy and definitely filling, and we were able to picnic on the grass at Niles Town Plaza. Parking for this event sucks! So many closed roads, with the organizers not even giving a hint to visitors as to parking options. In the neighborhood, people were selling spaces for $10-25 just to park. Along with slow moving traffic and cramped streets, it was not a fun experience. Even with a few cool items here and there, overall, this outdoor market was a disappointment. I probably wouldn't return, not worth it. I recommend just visiting the town of Niles and its antique stores on a regular day.
