Delicious food! We ordered the Amritsari Kulcha and it was perfectly crispy. We even requested it to be spicy and the request was definitely met. Although, to me it wasnt spicy enough, but to the others in our group it was. We ordered 2 for four people. They even halved it for us. We all were full enough off it. Other things to note: took about 15 minutes for the food to come out and waitress tended to us in about a minute or two after we arrived. It was busy but we were lucky to get a spot in the back. Omg best Indian food I've had hands down! Great service and great ambiance too! I have been reluctant to try out another Indian restaurant as they all tastes the same now. But I am glad I tasted the uniquely delicious dishes of Chachas . Especially malai kofta is actually malaayeful aka creamy Biryani was equally yummy and flavourful . Soya chaap had that flavour of mint that is required to make soya taste good. Amazing kulcha had ever eaten. Panner kulcha ,Aloo kulcha both were amazing and it comes with chole and raita so it's a complete meal. We had to wait for table for 30 mins which was Only drawback but our lady at front desk was kind to suggest that place the order for kulcha before even we sat and as soon as we got seat we had kulcha served. Dal makhani and butter chicken was good too. We also took tandoori soya chapp which was not that great and tasted bland as it was not marinated fully so reducing a star. read more

I would rate this place 3.5 stars deducting stars for service. We drove from Seattle to Surrey to have food here. We reached around 1:30pm to have the weekend specials. We were told there is a 1 hour wait. We waited for around 2 hours to get a table. While we were waiting, there were so many tables where people had eaten their food and were just lounging. The staff needs to be empowered to turn around tables faster since its such a small space. While we were waiting one of the staff members asked us to wait outside, it was -10C and we were next to be seated but this staff member thought it was appropriate for us to stand in cold outside(one of the persons in our party was also visibly pregnant). I was on the phone, once i got to know I asked my party to move back inside ready for a confrontation but thankfully there was none. When our turn came, they were out of the weekend specials (kulcha and chole bhature). We ended up having the butter chicken, tandoori chicken, fish pakora, keema, lacha parantha and garlic naan. The naan was super tasty and the curries were delicious as well. The tandoori chicken was nice and moist but a little bland compared to Delhi standards. After we were seated the wait staff seemed to be polite. My advice would be to try and come on a weekday instead of a weekend. read more

My husband found these guys from an insta reel. When he saw the chole kulchhe he knew we needed to go there asap. The chole kulchhe and chole bhature are part of the weekend special menu only available for lunch from 11am to 3pm. We got the mixed aloo and paneer kulcha. When it arrived it looked amazing! And even better in taste. The best we've ever had. Don't know what spices they use but its bang on! Paani puri had a cute presentation of shot glasses in a cart and the taste was good. Amazing food!! We were visiting Vancouver from Seattle and stopped here on our way back. I am so glad we did. This place is clearly popular because it had a long wait line. But the wait was worth it. We had gol guppa shots, chhole bhatura, butter chicken, romali roti, lachha paratha kalmi kabab and mango lassi. All the items were really good. Bhatura had excellent texture, crispy outside and soft on the inside. The butter chicken was very flavorful. Lassi was really delicious. But the star was the kalmi kabab. The chicken was so tender and juicy and every bite was bursting with flavors. Service was great as well. Food was brought out promptly and plates were cleared out as we were done. This is one of the very few restaurants that have Rumali Roti on their menu. We went here specifically to try their Rumali Roti, and we were not at all disappointed. It was thin, soft, and cooked to perfection. It took be back to my days of eating dhaba food in India. They also have some unique vegetarian items on their menu. We loved their soy-based vegetarian wings. Although, they tasted different than typical chicken wings, they were yummy. tl;dr: come for the romali roti, stay for the kaati rolls. Having found this place via a Reddit recommendation from a local, we arrived around 10p on a Friday. The place was hopping, with all tables taken and lively Punjabi music playing. We tried the butter chicken with romali rotis on the side. We also got two different versions of the chicken kaati rolls - the seekh and tandoori chicken. They were both delectable, though the seekh won hands down. They came with a generous serving of Indian-style fries. The butter chicken was the only dish that was mediocre. But the romali rotis more than made up for it. They were huge as well! The restaurant had a young wait staff, who were courteous and attentive (special shout out to Simran and Laavesh). The interior had a young and modern vibe. We enjoyed the overall experience so much, that we came back a second night. We tried the chicken curry which we enjoyed more than the butter chicken. The chicken seekh kababs were a generous serving and melted in our mouths. Wish we could take the restaurant back with us to California. Chacha's was recommended by a friend and I'll forever be grateful to him for suggesting this gem. We ordered, kalmi kabab, tandoori chicken half, romali roti, garlic naan, butter chicken and malai kofta. The highlight of the night for me was the kalmi kabab it was out of this world, I'd drive from Seattle just for this. The malai kofta was a close second for me. My wife and friends loved the butter chicken too. The tandoori chicken was ok, it was too dry, I'll skip it the next time. The service was fantastic too, we were given a heads up that the Kababs would take 15-20 mins, we had kids so we asked for the main course to be brought whenever ready and not wait for the kababs. The food is good but they have a 1.5-2 hour wait on most days and there's no space to wait. The service is reasonably fast but the famous kulchas are only available until 3pm. We arrived at 1pm and were told that there is a 1 hour wait but also told that there would be no kulchas after 3pm. We were confused why we were told that for a 1 hour wait. Later we found out that the reason is that they really have no idea when the tables will be available and people keep sitting after ordering one plate of fries for 2 hours (yes we saw two tables that were occupied at 1pm and when we were finally seated around 3:15pm, they were planning to leave then).
