He was born and raised here and did his residency in the big apple at the best joint replacement hospital in the country. He chose the this particular hip contraption cause of what I want an need to be able to do with my life and work. I will say that everyone in this office was very sweet and helpful. They know I was in pain went out of their way to make me and the wife comfortable. Never being operated on before I was nervous and scared. Doc I guess felt that and comforted me. I will say that the surgery and before and after included and very good doctors visit. He told me how my old hip was and it wasn't pretty but the new one was all bright and shiny. He even wrote Go Gators on the probe in my leg bone. JK but I feel he would have if I asked. I just returned from our post op visit and I got my first look at my new hardware. I do know it has only been 13 days since I took possession of this hip it is working better and better everyday. I know it is cause of Dr Frykberg's talent. I will also say that he learned today that his one guilt pleasure is Maple Street Biscuit Companies food so you know what I did? Yep the office had breakfast on me this morning and will every time I return. He was genuinely happy when I returned with biscuits for him and his side of the office. No one called ahead of time to inform me, and no one updated me while I was sitting there waiting. It was a complete lack of respect for my time. On my second visit, things only got worse. Dr. Burns came across as arrogant, belligerent, and very disrespectful. Instead of feeling heard or cared for as a patient, I felt dismissed and spoken down to. His attitude was unprofessional and unacceptable. Patients deserve basic communication, respect, and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

For this appointment I think his nurse called me to correct my appointment- I was scheduled in the wrong office! The irony is that I am waiting for insurance approval for the next step and as I am writing this I am thinking I should call- because who knows how prompt they will be in scheduling after obtaining approval.... sigh. My overall experience with this practice is 2 to 3 stars- but this location/staff/doc did deserve 4 stars- I will update if warranted.

No offer for anything to ease the pain. Dr Grimsley showed complete disinterest in my wife's complaint, showed no interest in helping. He was rude and aloof with his diagnosis. I asked if his findings would be posted on the patients portal and was told by the staff that it would be. As of today there is nothing. It used to be okay, but now each PT is servicing two to three people at once and they just tell you to do the different exercises. I need one on one care and I need actual work on my body. The auto injury department refused to bill, indicating that PRP injections were not covered in other cases; so billing for mine would be no exception. X-rays for my shoulder were requested by a shoulder specialist at the same facility, after mri's were completed, which is far more advanced and informative. The experience was completely disheartening, especially while having to endure on-going pain.

Too close.". ) He is straight up about what to do after surgery and he tells you he does not care what other drs do or allow, or how early other drs allow you to wear shoes, run, etc. He is VERY cautious and he knows how to get the best results! And his results are the tops. He disagreed with 2 other specialists/surgeons on a diagnosis for me. Strongly disagreed! I allowed Dr Norman to do his thing his way and he was right! Love this man. The quality care and reassuring communication helped me tremendously. I'd like to specifically thank Dr. Phillip Bell who performed the surgery, the nurses, anesthesiologist, and everyone else at JOI Baptist South for taking such good care of me before, during, and after surgery. My knee range of motion has improved dramatically the previous 5 days and is currently at 115 degrees. No more walker or cane and I just walked a mile today. I am about 1 year out post an extensive lumbar fusion with pelvic fixation, which was really a last resort for me, but I'm doing great now! I appreciate that Dr. Perry offered multiple alternatives and conservative care options first. When those options failed to adequately help and the surgery was indicated, Dr. Perry proved to be not only knowledgeable and exceptionally skilled, but he also provided helpful education before, during and after the ordeal. He was patient with all of my many questions and concerns and helped me navigate through the whole experience, which otherwise would have been a very terrifying experience for me.
