Super nice, friendly, and smart about his field and what he thought was best for me. We talked about me and what I do, did, and want to with this body that I have beaten slap to death. Then we talked about him where he came from (local kid) and where he studied and did his residency. He was born and raised here and did his residency in the big apple at the best joint replacement hospital in the country. He chose the this particular hip contraption cause of what I want an need to be able to do with my life and work. I will say that everyone in this office was very sweet and helpful. They know I was in pain went out of their way to make me and the wife comfortable. Never being operated on before I was nervous and scared. Doc I guess felt that and comforted me. I will say that the surgery and before and after included and very good doctors visit. He told me how my old hip was and it wasn't pretty but the new one was all bright and shiny. He even wrote Go Gators on the probe in my leg bone. JK but I feel he would have if I asked. I just returned from our post op visit and I got my first look at my new hardware. I do know it has only been 13 days since I took possession of this hip it is working better and better everyday. I know it is cause of Dr Frykberg's talent. I will also say that he learned today that his one guilt pleasure is Maple Street Biscuit Companies food so you know what I did? Yep the office had breakfast on me this morning and will every time I return. He was genuinely happy when I returned with biscuits for him and his side of the office. I would very highly recommend JOI and Dr. Frykberg for anyone needing hip or knee replacement after all he is that good.

No one informed me that the appointment that was originally set up for me had changed. In fact, I was told that the Thursday appointment did not show on your records. When a patient has pain most of the time, it isn't easy to prepare for any kind of appointment. Now I must repeat my trip to your office again on Monday, April 4th in order to see the doctor. There seems to a disconnect between the procedure for setting up a new patient's appointments and the personnel and computer records in the office. I respectively ask that someone review the situation and make appropriate adjustments where needed. Otherwise, it has been a pleasant experience to visit your office and I do look forward to my physical issues being resolved by the very capable staff and doctors in your practice.

Waiting to be called back is about the same as before but once your back in one of the rooms things tend to go quicker. I came back to see Chris Le, Dr. Pavel's PA for my low back pain. I tried to hold out for as long as I could but I needed to be reassessed for lumbar ablation. Also I like Chris because he's personable. He put me down for an updated MRI, the ablation, and some meds in the meantime. Checking out was simple as well. You end up on the backside of the receptionist area and they are the ones who will schedule your future appointments and I was able to fill out paperwork for the MRI place ahead of time to save time later. Here's hoping that they can help my pain levels decrease.

No one called ahead of time to inform me, and no one updated me while I was sitting there waiting. It was a complete lack of respect for my time. On my second visit, things only got worse. Dr. Burns came across as arrogant, belligerent, and very disrespectful. Instead of feeling heard or cared for as a patient, I felt dismissed and spoken down to. His attitude was unprofessional and unacceptable. Patients deserve basic communication, respect, and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

No offer for anything to ease the pain. Dr Grimsley showed complete disinterest in my wife's complaint, showed no interest in helping. He was rude and aloof with his diagnosis. I asked if his findings would be posted on the patients portal and was told by the staff that it would be. As of today there is nothing. Have set up an appointment with another orthopedic doctor and will never travel to Palm Coast for help from this UF Health Orthopedic Clinic.

It used to be okay, but now each PT is servicing two to three people at once and they just tell you to do the different exercises. I need one on one care and I need actual work on my body. Why am I paying to sit around waiting on my PT to go work on others? I could do it at home for free.

I asked for prednisone (a steroid, not a narcotic) as it helped initially when it was given to me at Urgent Care, but they refused because they said that it is their policy not to treat pain. What? I am about 1 year out post an extensive lumbar fusion with pelvic fixation, which was really a last resort for me, but I'm doing great now! I appreciate that Dr. Perry offered multiple alternatives and conservative care options first. When those options failed to adequately help and the surgery was indicated, Dr. Perry proved to be not only knowledgeable and exceptionally skilled, but he also provided helpful education before, during and after the ordeal. He was patient with all of my many questions and concerns and helped me navigate through the whole experience, which otherwise would have been a very terrifying experience for me.
