For the grill experience, available food variety, and service we received, I can say it is good value for money. We decided on paying the $10 extra per person to avail of their premium menu which added Prime rib steak, AAA striploin, Takoyaki, Butterfish, just to name a few. We dined on a weekday mid-afternoon time of around 4PM so the service turnaround time was conveniently quick. It did not take too long from order placement until the time our orders were brought to our table. I enjoyed most of the food items they have available especially the sashimi, butterfish, and the premium meats. Their BBQ sauce is OK. The 7 spices powder they have available on the side is surprisingly good. It enhanced the taste of the sometimes dried up cooked meat. What was disappointing was their order of buttered corn. It does not seem to have any butter added. Their Octopus balls or Takoyaki was also a little sub-par. I understand it has more to do with how they prepared it, but their Takoyaki was flat at the base. It was not a round ball. The sauce, toppings, and fillings was also not among the best I have had. Another thing is I wish they have some Gochujang or Samjjang available. You can order lettuce, kimchi, and the meats for Korean BBQ. It is just disappointing that you don't get the full Samgyupsal experience because of the missing dip. Service we received was excellent. The waiter constantly checked up on us and cleared out empty plates. He also replaced the grill once it became too greasy or oily. We were supposed to receive a voucher of about *$35 because our total bill went over $100. I gave my phone number but never received that text confirmation. I decided to come here on New year's Eve at 8:00 p.m. to grab a meal before heading towards an event for the countdown. I loved the customer service. The reps there were very attentive and polite and really made us feel comfortable. Although, I did find the menu short, it still did the job for the price. The restaurant ambiance is a typical hot Spot place. The seating isn't overcrowded and the lighting was perfect. They offer complimentary ice cream for dessert. The experience was good overall but because the menu was short I don't think I would be coming back. read more

They have a great deal going on right now for $20, you get a bunch on banchan (kimchi, butter corn, pickled radishes, steamed rice, garlic, and miso soup), then you choose your main: set A gave you sushi (variety), and set B gave you more meaty/deep fried options like wings, dumplings, ribs and fries, and tempura shrimps. Both orders came with 3 sets of meats (chicken and beef) for you to grill), and dessert was either: strawberry, vanilla, or chocolate (choose this!) ice cream from Chapmans. Soft drink included. Set menu ( see photos) came with ALOT of food. Included free soft drink( no other options for non pop) and little ice cream dessert in white Styrofoam cups vanilla, chocolate, strawberry. Little tapas style fries foods ( gyoza 2, shrimp tempura 2, chicken wings 2, ribs with little bit of fries) 3 separate corn in butter little tin. The banchan kimchi and pickled radish carrot I liked. Also came with a small miso soup and rice. Meats chicken , beef , and short ribs. My only negative comment was we got 2 plates of chicken scrapy pieces. Many little pieces not a thigh as advertised hard to cook fall through the grill. Short ribs excellent, beef excellent marinated well. Sushi can't comment didn't eat it ( not my order) Interior looked clean not very noticeable for smells. Smell check not too bad going home the grill has ventilation holes around the grill. Very slight smell on clothes wouldn't notice unless looking for it. Service was good they took empty plates dishes regularly and had a grill change once. We were told that it was 1 hour limit. Took a minute to get all our dishes/ plates to the table as there was many small items. Went at 4pm at opening and at that point wasn't full but definitely had a quite a few tables come in. **Service charge was added to our bill. Not sure if that was advised. We had a table of 3 people. January 1, 2025 -After a very nice day at the casino with my old lady we wanted to get something to eat before heading home. I decided to drive through the Eglinton Town Centre complex to see if there was anything. My mom noticed Chako and she wanted to go there. We used to go to the one at Midland and McNicoll many years ago. We were actually really surprised to see that one was so close to home. They currently have 3 different menus to choose from (special, classic & premium). Prices from $28.99-$51.99. We got the special menu for $28.99 less items to choose from, but it 100% enough for us. I ordered everything off the menu. My mom ate as much as she could and was full, no second round. I also ate my fill. Service was very good, staff were all polite. We went yesterday Jan 11, around 2 pm.. the service was good the food was good.we usually come here sometimes mid or quarterLy.. and experience was awesome. except yesterday. The waiter told us that we need to settle out our bill since they will close the lunch time.. and I said Okay.. I thought he is just explaining to us about the total amount and the TIP And i said okay. But when we settled and check Our receipt he put 18% of TIp? Like seriously!? are you really the one to put the tip?Because we are paying card. this is not mandatory to put some Tip.. but we are planning to give him cash not on our card. like what the heck? Stumbled upon this restaurant when my family tried to walk into the neighbouring restaurant East Side Mario's and it was full and wait listed. Walked over and saw the Chako signage on the neighbouring building and went in. They told me it was their second day of opening and the hostess explained to me the two different menus. The classic and the premium. The premium has more higher quality meats for the grill and sashimi's. Both menus are all you can eat; but don't waste as they will charge you for wasted raw and cooked foods if you over order. We were happy with the restaurant as there was no wait and not many tables occupied as not many people knew the existence of this restaurant yet! This is their second location in Scarborough so don't mistaken this with their Midland Ave location. read more

It's a little different than the one up North , the BBQ is electric instead of gas. All the condiments are labeled, but the food is just as good. It's not licensed yet, but I usually just order the refillable pop. They have a great selection of smoothies, bubble tea and milkshakes. We ordered milkshakes for dessert, but we were so full from the all you can eat. The servers are experienced as many came from the restaurant up North on Highway 7. The one lady from the other location recognized us. The price may seem a little steep, but it's for sushi, sashimi, salad, all the beef and chicken and shrimp cocktail etc that you can eat. I like the steak fingerlings and veggies to grill the best. Squid, shrimp and mussels are included to grill. I grilled the pineapple with the smoothie for dessert. Next time we come to this location we won't sit in line with the door, I found it draughty and cold. Be careful not to overcook the meat on the grill, it's electric and will dry the meat out. The food takes a lot longer to cook than with gas and it is only a 2 hour window. It's a great convenient location, lots of parking, near Christmas shopping and great access by transit. This is a chain and a place we will be returning to often. read more
