    Combo B Lunch Set
    Yoland E.

Came to Chako for a late lunch, and was pleasantly surprised! For $20, Combo B includes some fresh sushi, meat for grilling, and some sides. The service was good and fast, our server was very patient and helpful.

Set menu ( see photos) came with ALOT of food. Included free soft drink( no other options for non pop) and little ice cream dessert in white Styrofoam cups vanilla, chocolate, strawberry. Little tapas style fries foods ( gyoza 2, shrimp tempura 2, chicken wings 2, ribs with little bit of fries) 3 separate corn in butter little tin. The banchan kimchi and pickled radish carrot I liked. Also came with a small miso soup and rice. Meats chicken , beef , and short ribs. My only negative comment was we got 2 plates of chicken scrapy pieces. Many little pieces not a thigh as advertised hard to cook fall through the grill. Short ribs excellent, beef excellent marinated well. Sushi can't comment didn't eat it ( not my order) Interior looked clean not very noticeable for smells. Smell check not too bad going home the grill has ventilation holes around the grill. Very slight smell on clothes wouldn't notice unless looking for it. Service was good they took empty plates dishes regularly and had a grill change once. We were told that it was 1 hour limit. Took a minute to get all our dishes/ plates to the table as there was many small items. Went at 4pm at opening and at that point wasn't full but definitely had a quite a few tables come in. **Service charge was added to our bill. Not sure if that was advised. We had a table of 3 people. Something to make a note of if you go. Overall would recommend and come again for the great value set meal!

    January 1, 2025 - Special Menu (20 items) $28.99

January 1, 2025 -After a very nice day at the casino with my old lady we wanted to get something to eat before heading home. I decided to drive through the Eglinton Town Centre complex to see if there was anything. My mom noticed Chako and she wanted to go there. We used to go to the one at Midland and McNicoll many years ago. We were actually really surprised to see that one was so close to home. They currently have 3 different menus to choose from (special, classic & premium). Prices from $28.99-$51.99. We got the special menu for $28.99 less items to choose from, but it 100% enough for us. I ordered everything off the menu. My mom ate as much as she could and was full, no second round. I also ate my fill. Service was very good, staff were all polite. The restaurant is huge lots of space. It was quite nice inside.

Stumbled upon this restaurant when my family tried to walk into the neighbouring restaurant East Side Mario's and it was full and wait listed. Walked over and saw the Chako signage on the neighbouring building and went in. They told me it was their second day of opening and the hostess explained to me the two different menus. The classic and the premium. The premium has more higher quality meats for the grill and sashimi's. Both menus are all you can eat; but don't waste as they will charge you for wasted raw and cooked foods if you over order. We were happy with the restaurant as there was no wait and not many tables occupied as not many people knew the existence of this restaurant yet! This is their second location in Scarborough so don't mistaken this with their Midland Ave location.

Amazing service from Kandy and the service manager. Offered us the 20$ menu and recommended a perfect cream soda from Korea must try. Definitely coming back again!!!

Really great ayce bbq! Its a new location so the interior is gorgeous, modern, and clean. The service was a little slow and it seemed like the servers were hard to reach at times. But the menu had lots to choose from and the food was fresh. I like the boneless ribs and the squid the best

The fish tasted super fresh, my personal favourite being the Escolar and the Tuna. The sushi pizza was also really delicious; the rice was fluffy, and not stiff or tough like at other places I've had them at. I'd also recommend ordering the karaage. It was super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, a pleasant surprise on our end! Everything came out quickly, and the service was just as great. Our server was so kind and checked in to make sure we always had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Sushi was nicely dressed and did not really need to dunk in soy sauce, only thing was for my taste rice( shari) was too wet l (was not mushy though). I appreciated everything on this platter was actually edible. I really dislike green fake plastic leaf thingy. I ate chrysanthemum

After looking over all the options, I chose salmon sashimi, octopus sashimi, and bbq eel sushi. Quality was pretty good, cuts were thick, and the value was insane! Place is takeout. Other platters are often "you get what you get" but the idea that we wouldn't be stuck with surf clam or cucumber rolls was very enticing to us. Mother's Day was a great reason to order sushi and maaaaan were we not disappointed! Ordering online seemed like they were rammed with orders since it requested a later pick up time. When my husband showed up, he noted that it was a two person show... and they clearly were making sure they didn't overwhelm themselves with orders. It goes to show they care about their food/quality and we were so grateful! The rice was cooked well and the ratio of rice to fish/yums was great! Our only complaint was that we wish the order form would tell us how many pieces were in each "order" but other than that we were very pleased with the quality of the sushi and the freshness of the fish. We finally have a go-to sushi spot nearby that we won't hesitate to order from again (and again and again!)

This cozy sushi restaurant has all the typical sushi restaurant staples (sushi rolls, nigiri sushi,…read moresashimi, donburis (rice bowls), udon noodles, and a few Korean dishes such as bibimbap (the owners are Korean). There was no parking right outside of the restaurant (main road), but you could park on the side residential streets or in a large plaza nearby (about 10 minutes walk). The first thing we noticed when we walked in was the plethora of kids' drawings plastered all over the front door, walls, and the interior of the restaurant. Every table had a set of crayons and paper that you could use to draw. It seemed very family and kids-friendly. The interior was small, cozy, and had a very homey vibe. We were seated in a booth which added to the coziness feeling. Food came out relatively quickly, and everything was decent. Unagi Don came with a good amount of unagi and avocado slices, on top of a heap of rice. Kaizen Don was excellent - it came with thick slices of sashimi (salmon, tuna, shrimps, and imitation crab). Every donburi (rice bowl) came with house green salad and miso soup. We chose to add on a few extra green salads. Sushi rolls that we ordered as a group all came on one long wooden board - perfect for sharing. I wish the asparagus in the asparagus roll wasn't battered and deep-fried (tempura style). My favourite sushi roll was the El Dorado Roll (without rice - salmon, tuna, cooked shrimp, imitation crab, cucumber, and avocado wrapped in cucumber which added extra crunch). Service was efficient, nice, and friendly.

Some nice queuing and ordering system via qr code using Snappy. I tried the black garlic ramen, which seems like the original but with black garlic oil. Lots of customizations available for broth richness, noodle type, amount of toppings, etc. I had it at regular strength and all regular toppings with thick noodles. Broth was very rich in flavour but not too salty, and the veggies help to cut that down as well. I enjoyed the garlic paste as that went well with everything with a nice kick. The meat is like a brisket with thick cuts mixed in with some different sized pieces. I enjoyed the Jiro style as I love all the different textures you can get with all the toppings. The portion was very good as well, definitely filling! Will try out the other flavours sometime!
