Love this place! It's been our go-to stop after happy hour at the Downey Promenade. We added this…read moreplace to our rounds after noticing the claw games, which we thought would be fun to play. It's great entertainment for our baby. As he has aged into a toddler, he now wants to participate which is awesome! The people who work here are incredible. They still remember when we started this routine and have shared in the various emotions we have gone through while playing the games--the ups when we win and the bummer moments when we think we won but the claw drops it short of the slot. It's such a wonderful environment, and the people who work here are friendly and kind. We definitely have a great time every time we visit. As for selection, they have made some changes to the store to include more merchandise and less claw games. The merchandise is great, and there are still enough claw games to play. Heads up: the claw games take the special tokens that you purchase at the back of the store. Overall, this place is amazing! Our little one loves it especially now that he can participate. Great memories have been made here for us. The first time my little one won is a memory I will always remember--just the pure joy is priceless!

BE WARNED DO NOT BUY POKEMON ETBS FROM HERE…read more Yesterday I came across this store with two of my friends and saw they were selling an ascending heroes etb. I decided to purchase it and when I got home and opened it the packed were visibly tampered with. A few packs had a thin silver line showing at the top and some had minor air pockets compared to major store bought packs. Not only that but each pack opened THE EXACT SAME WAY - easily pealed perfectly from the top and down the back middle seal. I paid $180 PLUS TAX so to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I can't speak for their single packs but after this experience with the etb I'm never purchasing from here again. I stupidly said no to a receipt so I doubt I can ask for a refund now but be warned if u do buy Pokemon cards here BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Located east of of Little Tokyo and north of the Toy District, Mega Toys is the best of both worlds. And between Thanksgiving and Christmas -- I went Dec. 24 -- it's open seven days a week: Working overtime! Basically, this seems to be the warehouse outlet of a toy importer. There are many kinds of toys here, but they tend to range between those with wheels -- any kind, for boys -- and those in pink boxes -- any kind, for girls. Prices range between 75 cents and $40 for the most part, and I picked up some nice items. There are bad-form Go-Bot and Transformers knockoffs with badly translated tray cards and poor design. There are Bratz and other rip-offs, almost indistinguishable from the usual fare. And there are other objects ranging from balls to multi-vehicle toy sets. Many of the toys I'm sure you can find elsewhere in the Toy District, but for a one-stop shop and bargain prices, you can't beat the Mega. Take the walk, or at least stop off in Little Tokyo for the manga and anime shop we skipped and the upstairs Japanese-language bookstore. The toystore itself is worth a trip, I'd imagine even moreso when it's fully stocked. It certainly wasn't the day before Christmas. Toys galore. And glorious.

The service is just wonderful, mostly a young staff that is super nice and kind. They help me find the latest of what he may want. The prices are so fair and they have the best selection you will find. They also have other things than just music. They have all the cute stuff, they have light sticks and all sorts of merchandize. They also have posters lots of plush things for fun. You will love this place. You don't need to know a thing about K-Pop, they have your back and just seem to know when a grandmother walks in looking lost. They are just so sweet. This is one of my main K-Pop places to go whenever I am near there, so have fun.

There were a lot of colorful displays, albums, accessories, and random fan items, so it's still enjoyable to walk around and browse for a bit. My main disappointment was the lack of official merchandise. I was specifically hoping to find more authentic merch for different groups, but the selection felt pretty limited and a lot of items seemed more generic or unofficial than expected. That said, the store itself has a cute atmosphere and the staff were friendly when I visited. I think it's still worth checking out casually, especially if you're nearby, but I personally hoped for a stronger official merch selection.
