My kids like going to this place that's why I give it 2 stars. Today my son and I were there and I was holding 2 squid game wallet but we changed our minds and put it back. When we paid for another item the cashier asked me for the 2 squid game wallets. I told him that I had put it back. This guy here made me feel like I was a thief. Why in the hell would I steal specially when I'm with my son? This guy has no brains. He barely helped us around the store and he barely said anything. Although they have a wide selection of goodies for any pop culture lover, i do not recommend this place to anyone. I came in to look around and found some sonny angels figures for a cheap price (other places sell them for $20 or more!) and here they sold them for $10! I opened one and it was fake! I got a sonny angel that wasn't even displayed on the box!! I will not be shopping here again and i bet their pokemon cards and other collectibles are fake too!! read more

I grew up going here with friends, and it's always been an interesting spot. The service reflects the vibe of the ladies who run the store--straightforward but willing to haggle. They do set their prices high, so be ready to negotiate. I rarely paid full price and could usually haggle down to something reasonable. One tip: don't trade in cards here, as the trade-in values are low. They also have a fair number of knock-off items--not replicas of specific branded products, but more like generic posters, pillows, banners, figurines, and similar items. However, they definitely carry genuine products too. I've scored some rare and exclusive Kingdom Hearts collectibles made by Square Enix and Disney here. In short, if you're looking for authentic, rare items from your favorite games, manga, or anime, it's worth a visit. Just don't expect it to be cheap, and feel free to negotiate. As for the "knock-offs" or generic items, they might not be official, but they're still cool and high-quality. I've had a poster from here for 14 years, and it still looks as good as the day I got it. For cards, though, you're better off buying boosters elsewhere--like Target, Walmart, or online--for better prices. read more

I strongly advise against buying figures or collectors items from here. I'm like 3 years late I think, but I was going through old figures I wanted to sell, and I found one I'd bought from this place, and realized they sold me a bootleg love live figure for $58. Mind you, the actual thing is way more expensive, but still. It's not even a good bootleg either: bad paint job, missing parts of the original, straight up different details (i.e. character is supposed to have flowers in hair, has headphones instead, incorrect stand, IT'S DIRTY TOO Y'ALL, LIKE? And I never took it out of the box until today) I can't believe I bought this thing (I had just started getting into figures). Like if it was a close imitation I might say "hey y'all, they sell bootlegs here, but they're pretty close bootlegs so if you don't care about that sort of thing and just want a nice looking figure this is the place!", but I can't even say that. Arguably, the quality might've deteriorated while it was stored away, but either way I'm pretty sure it's bootleg. I would say save your money, you low key might be better off visiting a swap meet, but idk though. If you read all this, consider yourself WARNED!! read more

I see the negative reviews here and it's a bummer. One of my sons loves coming here for the Sonic the Hedgehog plushies. I came here today and my son will be so happy they have new stock. I buy online for rare plushies but I can always count on this place. The cashier/worker/owner? has always been friendly and engaging. My son would probably kill me if we didn't keep shopping there for Sonics......good store good service. As far as the prices go, supply and demand. I can go there and pick up what I want in person. If I gotta pay a couple extra dollars for instant gratification, so be it. My son would 10 star this place lol P.s. to the owner get some rare Sonic the Hedgehog plushies I'll pick them up rather than order online haha! read more

I was very disappointed to how I was treated when I was in the store. I entered the store looking at their products, after a while I finally laid eyes on a $36 Naruto Figure. I was about to ask the lady attending the store if she could open the glass door it was in, but another lady rudely popped out between the other lady and I and demanded that we get out because they were closing. It wasn't even time for them to close yet. They just lost 36 dollars from me. VERY disappointed. read more

Overly priced Yu-Gi-Oh cards. A holographic Goblin Zombie (non-1st Edition) is priced at $34.99, while you can purchase a 1st Edition Secret Rare Foil on tradingcardmint.com for $14.99 (to give you an idea of the comparison). The clerk is very unapproachable and will not check in with you, and when you ask questions such as "do you have (insert specific starter deck)?", she will point to whatever is on the shelf and sharply respond with something like "this is what I have". Great place to just waltz in for a quick visit to pique your interest, but don't buy from here. read more

This place USED to be great to find collectable anime and manga items. You find a lot of poor quality stuff now, thing you can find in the Swamp Meets. At times you can find a treasure but it may be pretty pricey. Still it is fun to go in there to just look around. The best place to find anime goods is online or in Little Tokyo in L.A. This place has a lot of great things for anime and Nintendo lovers. What I like about this place is it's convenient in a shopping mall and there aren't that many physical anime shops around this area. However the prices are kicked up compared to online ($13 for a funko pop which you can find for $8-10 online) which adds on if you plan on buying multiple . This place is terrible on their prices on singles, boosters, and boxes for the game of Yugioh. They have cards in there that could be worth about ten dollars or less being sold for almost 6x the amount. i came to this place to buy some yugioh cards and sleeves , prices for the sleeve were okay 3.99 but for the booster packs about 5 dollars each and for the wholes box its over 100 dollars! i see this place has allot of booster boxes that haven't been sold even singles packs from about 5 years ago no wonder no one buys them , they are double or even triple the price ! i even tried to bargain with the lady , i tried to offer her that i would buy a soul fusion yugioh pack of 24 that only came with 19 incomplete box. I offered her that i would buy it for 60 dollars for all of them she said no. it was 4.50 for 1 and i told her just charge me 4 dollars per pack because I'm still going to be taxed on it. All the cards are over prices even the singles one that are open. If this place wants me to come back or see there cards sale they need to make a change on there prices ! i evened showed her that the soul fusion box cost 61 dollars online and you want to sale it to me for 110 dollars you are tripping ! I won't be coming back at all and sucks cause i thought i had found a place to buy cards guess ill be taking my business else where. So once you guys change the prices let me know ill go back. Decent place to window shop basically. If you fond something you like, compare the prices elsewhere because more than likely it's terribly overpriced. Occasionally you do find some stuff at a semi-decent price but most of the time the stuff is not worth it. Booster boxes of cards sold for $100 and over without regard to what box it is and what they are actually worth. Figurines are often overpriced too for the quality that you get. read more
