Allows me to make fully informed decisions on the music because nothing slips through the cracks. Environment is huge for me when creating. The space is clean and organized. Studio spaces are top of the line and focused. When I need to take a break from what I'm working on, there is a nice outdoor area as well as an indoor room with great seats and vinyls. Food is easily delivered to the studio or you can bring something of your own and keep it in a fridge. There are perfect spots for eating at a large table in a communal room, as well as a table outside. More than anything, the team at Just For The Record is what makes this place stand out. Two shout outs: Denisse Cruz - Manages the studio very well. Helps with scheduling and keeps everything organized. Takes the extra time/energy of keeping track of everyone's schedule out of my hands. Great communication. Couldn't ask for more. Daniel Cullen - Motivated, hard working, constantly growing - inspiring to be around. He is grounded and open. Even brings some great jokes and keeps a good vibe going. VERY talented Engineer. He has a great ear and can sonically manifest whatever sound I'm hearing in my head. He creates a bridge from my mind to the track. Also brings a great energy and patience that allows me to feel comfortable to just throw stuff at the wall to see what sticks. The studio itself is homey and comfortable and the equipment is top of the line. Tons of guitars, amps, etc to choose from and a vision to create the sound I was looking for. As Hawai'i's worst Stand-Up Comedian and Los Angeles's worstest open-micer, I HIGHly recommend coming to Turd Wheel Minor Comedy Club, because it's simply a great place to train. They offer TWO(2) free open-mics at night. One at 8:00pm till 9:30pm (5 mins stage time)and one at 12:00am till 02:00am.(3 mins stage time) Sometimes its a hit or miss with audience/crowd/non-comedian's....BUT....if you still need stage time to work out your material, 1 out of 3 times, the host will be listening to your set, and not looking at their cell-phone's or talking to people who drop-in who "think" they are funny and special, but are more of a lower-level Stand-Up Comedian. (Its irritating to see these Comedians that think they are SUPER funny, and they haven't even performed at Flappers or Chateu Superior Comedy Clubs. Make sure to come 30 mins early though, cuz the sign-up sheet gets filled quick as they "normally/regularly" only allow 20 open-micer's. N e wayz, if you're from out of town, an audience member or a new-bie that wants to pursue Stand-Up Comedy, come to 3rd Wheel, where it's intimidating, but worth the stage time. **P.S. ....full disclosure, I'm funnier than everyone that works at Third Wheel.**

Their website fails to mention that their Cahuenga location's front door is directly to the street. No reception. So if someone is standing outside infront of the studio door and talking, you can hear them loud and clear in the studio. The pictures of the Cahuenga studio are much better than the actual location. Brought this to the attention of the studio manager and his response was "Well no one else has complained about this". The manager also had their engineer open the door to give him equipment while we were in our recording session. However, the engineers were a delight to work with. Very accommodating and made sure the audio was captured to the best of their ability.

There is something disarming about this space. Staff - the co owners balance sharing their musical opinion and expertise alongside encouragement and empowerment of the performer.
