Went to Dave & Buster's on a Wednesday afternoon with my coworkers for a team building session. We got a lot of bang for our buck in terms of tokens to play in the extensive game room. It was great to go at 3p on a Wednesday afternoon during the school year and it was empty and allowed us to enjoy the bar, dining, and game room! Relatively clean and organized, the service was a nice touch as they accommodated my non-alcoholic drink and served an excellent burger and fries! Great cost and appetizers were also delicious! I recommend the pickle chips. I would probably only go there on off hours as I understand it gets extremely busy on the weekends and summers. I was motivated to write a 1 star review due to the recent run-in with the corporate which incompetently ran the Phantom Fun campaign. We legitimately solved a clue via different phones, and obtained unique QR codes which entitles 100 game chips to be added to the Power Cards. Since not all of us play, I went ahead and had the QR codes scanned and applied to my Power Card without error. Lo and behold, a week later when I tried to use the card, it could not be read. The manger said it was locked and I had to call corporate. I did and the corporate said since I loaded the same reward multiple times on the same card, they considered it a "fraud" and they revoked all of my game chips earned from this contest. I considered the IT department incompetent -- OK I didn't read the fine prints, but why did the staff and the system allowed me to load the game chips on the same card; and why did I have to lose ALL of the game chips?! Not worth it to pursue the Better Business Bureau route for this incident. I wasted so much time already with the contest and the support staff in vein. I decided it is unfair to punish this local location for the corporate's failed campaign. I've always had positive experience with this location, especially Todd, who is always friendly and attentive with my take out orders. Not sure how many managers there are in total, but 4 out of 5 I've interacted with were nice, friendly and civil. The dining areas are modern and inviting. The location is super convenient, right inside the Mall so the family members who don't play can spend time in the mall instead of being held hostage at the arcade. My daughter and I love coming here to play games. Ever since I introduced her to this place our old game and eat hang out you know that place with the rat and the cheese got forgotten about. Defiantly cost me more money but now I get to have fun and play games too so it's a win. She is not a fan of any of the food and to be honest I'm not a big fan either so we usually just come for the games and prizes. We probably spend more time and money just playing the games than we would if we ate here as well. I have spent some nights with friends getting drinks and playing games as well so they get my money either way. The game room is always changing and so are the prizes so almost every time we come here it's a little bit different of an experience. Tickets don't expire so we usually rack them up for the bigger prizes on future trips. We don't get up here as much as we would like because we live over 30 minutes away. The food was ok and the waitress was good but we had to wait over a half hour for a table. I say this because over Two thirds of the tables and one room were empty. They said they had a corporate booking. Although for the two hours we were there those tables were empty. Will not be back and advise others to seek out the better staffed and with better equipment. D&B is a chain of what my friend calls a "Barcade." Yup, alcohol, some reasonably good food, and video games. It's what you expect if you've been to one before, just a bit downsized to fit the smaller Harrisburg market. Went on a weekend night and was glad to see that it seemed to mostly be people there on dates, along with a couple of groups, but no young kids. The food and drinks were fine, but the service was mixed. We had two different bartenders and they were completely opposite in their approach: one was friendly and considerate; the other seemed to want to get rid of us as quickly as possible. Thankfully, the bad one was only with us for a little bit in the middle or we might have left early. The games are fine; everything seems to be clean and in working order, there just isn't as much variety as I expected from other locations in larger markets. Overall, it's probably a solid choice in this area for a date or just a casual night out, but wouldn't necessarily be on my list for interesting people watching or much more than about an hour of entertainment. read more

This is a very great dave and busters. We started out eating and the wait time was a bit slow but overall the food was amazing! And the restaurant area was clean! We then went over to the arcade area! I got about 720 tickets in the end. The games over there were fun! There was a huge variety of games! The staff at the prize selection room were friendly. We always have a good time when we come here. Parking is a breeze, it's right off the highway, and easy to access. It's a nice adult night of fun. It can be expensive, but there are ways to make it cheaper. You can order the tokens through Groupon for a discount. It's usually pretty clean there and haven't had any issues. This has to be the most exciting place in Capital City Mall. Their model works for me. Load up the Power Card. Have adrenaline filled fun at their state of the art games. Redeem the tickets I won at the gift shop. And finally enjoy fun food at their restaurant/bar section which is super hip, all the walls are filled with giant TV screens. You will never get bored at this place. I've had many of their appetizers. My favorites are the loaded fries and sliders. So good. Fun, challenging, and addicting variety of interactive games, spread throughout a spacious floor plan. All games were in excellent condition and working order. Some of the games were incredibly unique and innovative that I had not seen in other arcades. Our whole family had a great time in the game room and ended the night with some quality prizes from the well organized and stocked prize room. The facility was clean and well kept, but the noise level may be very overstimulating to some, especially those with sensory processing sensitivities. Our family absolutely loved the table side magician who surprised and delighted us with a variety of interactive tricks. The food was deliciously prepared and presented by prompt and courteous staff. Don't sleep on the food here!! Specials rotate every few weeks. The Asian shrimp app they had a few weeks ago was bomb, right now they're running Mexican themed specials with a mini taco burger that looked so good. My go to is the chicken avocado club - it comes with lettuce, cheese, bacon, tomato, and ranch with a good portion of chicken. It is so good. The fries are really good as well. We've also tried the Parmesan chicken entree (really bomb), burgers (cooked perfectly medium as requested and so juicy), and fish and chips (huge fish portion). For apps, I recommend the creole shrimp dip or nachos. The pretzel is huge and looks good, but I haven't gotten to try it yet. They also have power card specials for the games that can be purchased with your food. The alcoholic drinks are good - I usually only need 1 but I'm a lightweight. If you plan on attending happy hour, be aware of flying objects entering the bar section. Apparently, you can get hit in the back while sitting at the bar and there is no one to be held accountable. The manager on duty told the culprits to leave didn't take their information. The next manager said they were unaccompanied and were goofing off. That may be so, however, I'm left with localized bruising and inflammation affecting a superficial nerve and mild trauma and tenderness over my scapula. All Dave and Buster's have to say is that they are not responsible. Their house policies on their website states persons under 18 or 21 shall be accompanied by a guardian 25 or older. The manager Dan is an A+++++ asset to this company. Let me start by saying I DREAD approaching management in fast food or corporate casual dining environments. Most of the time employees are overworked or unappreciated to begin with, but in this case I knew I had to say something as my D&B player card had gone missing from my app. I assumed (incorrectly), no one at the physical location would be able to help, and Id receive a 800 number with long holds to try and rectify my issue. Instead, I was greeted by this tall, friendly gentlemen who listened and wanted to get to the root of my issue head on. In an age of companies pawning issues off to outsourced CSRs and text AI, it was refreshing to be greeted with a smile and friendly ear. He was patient, understanding, and even able to pull my card history and rectify the issue on the spot! I was shocked! Dave and Busters has always been a guilty pleasure for me and my son, but because of something like this, they have gained my more frequent patronage. Kudos Dan for being above and beyond, and credit to D&B for finding a good dude like Dan to manage your camp hill store. My wife and I had dinner here Monday evening. We had reservations for 5:30 PM. We were seated on time, but then everything slowed quite a bit. We ordered drinks and waited again. Finally we ordered our dinner. I ordered the Parmesan Chicken and she ordered ribs. After another wait, we were told they were out of ribs. This is the second time this happened. It's ridiculous, but again they were out of one of their main entrees early in the evening. She ordered the same dinner I had ordered. Eventually they arrived and they were fairly good. We were never offered soda refills. Eventually we were able to get our bill and head home. It's really hard to recommend this place. read more

Finally got to go Dave & Buster's at the Capital City Mall! So we were undecided what to order! Lots of Pub Food selections! Finally we decided on a couple of Combo Meals! My wife had the Cheese Steak Sliders with some chicken fingers! I had their Crushed Burger Sliders with ribs! Both came with fries! This was plenty of meal for both of us and we even got to share! Everything was delicious came out in a timely manner and hot! The Ribs had a deliciously sweet BBQ sauce & the beer was Ice Cold! Plenty of Super large TVs line the Walls with plenty of different sport channels Dave & Buster's is a true gamers Restaurant where there are games to entertain everyone! My son-in-law made a reservation a couple of weeks ago -at the manager's recommendation - for a party of 13 to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The reservation was for 7:30pm on a Saturday. The entire discussion revolved around their busy night and we completely understood so did exactly as they asked. We all arrived around 7:15, let them know and were promptly told how busy they were and it would be a little while. Meanwhile, we are watching people get seated right and left. At some point a very large birthday part came in and was seated in a room - we were later told by our server that they didn't have reservations at all. They were walk-ins. We kept checking in with management and kept being told how busy they were and how we'd be seated "when they had a table". Around 8:30, my husband and some others in the party decided to sit down at a large table that had been vacant for over 20 minutes. A wonderful server (I wish I'd gotten her name) sweetly came over and spoke with us and decided to let her manager know that she'd just take care of us, after hearing everything that had happened. We all understand that places are short-staffed - many of us work in healthcare and/or other customer-facing places. But do not tell people to make reservations if you aren't going to respect that. Do not at least seat large parties with reservations first. Seat us and explain that service might be a bit slow - we were totally fine with that! But to completely brush us off as though we didn't do exactly what you asked? We will definitely not go here again for any kind of celebration. read more

Waited nearly 2 hours for a table. Once we were seated half the seating was completely empty due to them being short staffed on servers. Had eaten here once before and made the terrible choice to try it again. Ordered the simplest of meals, chicken tenders and fries. Food came out cold which is inexplicable given the wait time after finally being able to order. Was not chicken strips, more like popcorn chicken nuggets they would use as boneless wings. This location in particular has better food than other locations that i've been to. Their food is pretty well-seasoned and they do come in big portions so it's great to share with friends and family. I do think some of the dishes are a bit too greasy and aren't exactly kind on your heart but hey they're bar food, so really, healthy are not expected on their jobs' description. Their drinks are just delicious. Either it's a cocktail or a craft beer, it's enjoyable and has good price! I always come on Wednesday for their half-off game deals and putting only $20 on your card is enough to cover most of the games there. They have a wide selection of old and new games.
