I called around to several auto body shops in the Tacoma area, but all of them were either unwilling to take on that level of damage or also classified it as a total loss. My insurance wouldn't cover the repairs, so I was stuck paying out of pocket. I was nearly ready to scrap the car and buy a used one, until I found Matsenko Auto. I spoke with Mike, who was very friendly and provided updates throughout the entire process. After explaining the situation, they took my car in without hesitation. They assessed the damage quickly and assured me it was no problem for them to fix, which gave me the confidence I needed that the car was in good hands. To top it off, they quoted me a price significantly lower than the other shops I contacted. The repairs took about a month due to backordered parts, but now my car looks good as new. They even repainted the scratched areas in-house. This is a very professional shop that gave me a chance when no one else did. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I took my car to Matsenko Auto Shop for a routine alignment and ended up getting scammed out of $590. They used sweet words to lure me in. They told me everything about they have to do check and work on all sensors to make sure my car working perfectly. That why I agree let them repair my car. But they do notthing in my car just using their computer to clear codes then return car to me within 1 hours. When I looked into standard pricing later, I realized just how badly I had been taken advantage of. Charging over $500 for a basic alignment is completely unacceptable and dishonest. More than a week warning lights issues come back I did call let them know about that they ask me bring my car back to them for check it. When i bring my car to their shop they ask me pay the same prices 500$ more to do that again. And replace all suspension. Bad customer service. No professional with customer. Vehicle was delivered here by my insurance company for repairs after a minor collision. A month…read morelater they told me it was ready. The bumper they installed was not prepped at all before they painted it, it still had flashing from the injection molding process around the edges. The paint that was applied is wavy. The bumper is loose and there is a gap between the drivers side headlight and the bumper. The paint is already scuffed and worn through from the flexing under the headlight. They replaced the electric grill shutter but didn't know what they were doing so they contracted out the work to Airbag Services. Apparently Airbag Services doesn't know what they are doing either. We were told the vehicle was completed so we picked it up and pointed out the problems with the paint and loose bumper. The manager, Robert, couldn't be found so they sent out a service tech to go over our concerns. (By the way Robert was at lunch in his vehicle that was parked literally beside our vehicle. I even called his name and he looked up but wouldn't speak to us.) The service tech said that the bumper work was the "best they could do" and that Robert had already signed off on the repairs as being completed and satisfactory. We took pictures and videos of the problems and sent them into GEICO. In the mean time we picked up the vehicle and drove it home while waiting on GEICOs response. On the way home the Engine Auto Start/Stop function stopped working. Once home the Service Engine Soon Light came on and the vehicle will not start. The battery is not dead because all of the lights function and do not dim when the ignition switch is pressed. The car is being towed to a dealer tomorrow to figure out what they messed up in the electronics and then will going back into the shop again to get the bumper repaired. GEICO has been receptive and they are trying to remedy the situation. I just hope it doesn't have to go anywhere near Lakewood Auto Body ever again.
