Had oil change and asked to inspect. No charge for inspection. With so many raising prices stating inflation or tariffs my costs were a mere 8 bucks more than same month last year. Great shop and staff! The staff members were easy to work with and communicative through the whole process of repairing my shattered window and some body work. Worked with insurance behind the scenes for me. The work I needed was not a very big job that paralyzed me from driving. Precision explained to me that normally this could take some time as they prioritize bigger repairs versus simple cosmetic ones. Which is fair! They informed me they were booking out until February like most shops but since my job could be completed between bigger jobs they gave me an appointment within a week. They expressed concern due to the cold weather and snow, and didn't want my window to completely shatter. I was impressed by their empathy and felt like they really care! So kind and professional, and they did a great job on my vehicle. They did not give off the impression that they were shady, or untrustworthy which is great because some shops are sketch! I will trust them for all my repair needs, and my car looked amazing and like it was never even damaged. read more

This was a while back (2+ yrs ago) so the person I dealt with might not even be there anymore. Don't be fooled by that "they'll fight for you" review. If the other insurance company are jackasses then there's nothing PAB can (or will) do for you. The CS rep I dealt with was argumentative and felt the need to lecture me on "how insurance works". I should have left/hung up and not dealt with them. Their work was adequate. They fixed what they were supposed to. No extra care was taken. Heck, the vehicle was dirtier than when I dropped it off (exception being the panel they fixed). When asked about fixing other parts of the vehicle, the quote was... not realistic. Seems to me like they're just there to over charge insurance companies for their decent work. Shrugs. If you've been to a truly good shop, or ever experienced actual customer service (IE not from the west coast) then you'll not be impressed. If you're used to this type of customer "service" or are sent to this shop cause they're a star/recommended shop by your insurance carrier... or you just need something simple... maybe you'll have better luck. read more

This is a late review for something that happened last summer. I went to the shop to get a quote for a bumper and fender repair on my Acura. At first, they quoted me the cost of a replacement which was reasonable, but it was a lot of money. They made the suggestion on another way for me to fix it myself that would make it look not as bad until I save up the money to have it fixed. I asked them if they could fix my fender well which was dragging when I was driving, and they were able to take me in right away. I waited for my car while they worked on it. When they finished, they had pulled the dent out of my damaged bumper in addition to the fender repair that Honda was unable to fix. It literally cost me pocket change and it pretty much fixed it. I apologize for the late review, but I truly appreciate what they did for me. It's so hard to find someone I can trust in that industry, but what they did was (and I hate using this cliche) the true meaning of 'above and beyond'. Thank you for such excellent work. This auto body shop scammed me out of almost $600. They say they fight for you and not your insurance company, but it felt like they took advantage of me during a very difficult time. I took my car here based on good reviews. Their contact stated that I could be subject to unspecified "administrative, lot, debris clean up charges, or estimate fees." When I asked about this, they assured me this "almost never happens" unless "your insurance company sucks." After Precision examined my car, the estimator told me that they had found additional damage that I had been unaware of. She said she wasn't sure Precision would even be willing to touch or fix my car. When I received a copy of the quote, it listed excessive damages far surpassing the value of my car. I was told that I might have to pay thousands out of pocket. They also said I would have to pay $75/day for any additional time it took to figure out the issue and communicate with my insurance, regardless of whether they ended up fixing it. I asked them to release the car to me so I could have it evaluated by another shop because the whole thing seemed really strange and they were saying a lot of confusing and contradictory things to me about the situation in an impatient and unprofessional manner. I was then sent a bill for almost $600 in administrative, storage, and body labor fees. All they did was look it over, make a few calls, and keep it on their lot for a couple days. They refused to release the car to me without paying those fees even though they essentially forced me to remove my car from their shop by telling me they might be unwilling to repair it while racking up high daily charges in the meantime. I understand a smaller fee for the time and quote, but $600?! When I spoke with Phil, the owner, on the phone, he was incredibly rude to me. Despite admitting that his estimator had treated me unprofessionally, he wasn't sorry, wouldn't adjust my bill, and treated me disrespectfully to the point where I had to hang up the call. I relocated my car to a different shop that repaired my car with no issues and no cost to me beyond my deductible. The cherry on the top of this horrible situation was that my car was also covered in bird poop and scratches when I was forced to tow it from the Precision parking lot. That's what I got from the hundreds in storage fees I paid to have it parked there. If you dig a little deeper into this company, you'll find other reviews like mine citing excessive and unfair fees. Maybe they're fine to work with if everything is straightforward. But you better believe they'll hold you accountable for excessive and unreasonable expenses if they decide anything seems weird to them or is taking too long. The other shop said they never charge for delays or issues beyond someone's control. read more

Couldn't ask for more! This is my second time doing business with them. From drop off to pick up it's an all-star job. They really do fight for their customer's to get the best service from insurance companies. They will not allow them (insurance companies) to bully you when it comes to the quality of parts they put back on your car, or the quality of work they perform. They are honest and up front. Which is hard to come by in this field. I love the family environment! It's something businesses are lacking now days, but not here. They definitly have it figured out. I was rear ended in December. Dealing with 2 other body shops attempting to fix my car for approximately 4 months which should have been totaled to begin with made me more than frustrated. All while trying to heal. I believe in luck, time and placement. I was having dinner one night with my husband (who loves to pay for another table anonymously) He just so happen to pick the guy sitting next to us. He unknowingly started a conversation with us. Just so happens he is an expert and salesman of, yep, you guessed it.... car frame machines. After hearing about my experience with the two "chop shops" in downtown Puyallup, he recommended Precision Auto Body. I called PAB the next day. From this point forward, I knew I was in good hands. I know someone was working for me and not trying to make a few bucks from an insurance company. The staff at Precision gave me quite an education on the games that insurance companies make. With their transparency, ethics and knowledge, Phil was able to diagnose my car and recommend that I insist the car get totaled like it should have been 3 months prior. Well I made a call to the adjuster and well, I guess Precision once again proved to me that they are the real experts. The adjuster did not blink an eye when I told him that I wanted the car totaled. Thanks to the staff at precision and John the "frame" guy, I am now in a brand new SAFE car. I hope I never have to see the great people at Precision ever again, but I have great comfort knowing where they are. Thank you again! read more

Highly recommended. Jessica and Erin were super helpful. They got me in right away to fix trunk leak when other body shops couldn't get me in or didn't want to bother with fixing leaks. If you want quality honest collision repair this is THE PLACE to go in the south sound. Don't confuse it with the similarly named Precision Collision which is a chain company. PAB is a family owned and operated business, with the owner (and his wife) working on site. The work they did on my car is seamless. You would never know that some A-hole hit it and took off. I usually don't get that excited about auto body repair, but the service at PAB was as good as it gets. Our daughter had scraped up the front of our Toyota Highlander in her first attempt to drive off the ferry. We avoided getting it fixed because we didn't want to use insurance and we really didn't know who to take it to. Driving around with a big boo-boo was embarrassing for us so we decided to have it taken care of. I did a little research, drove to Precision, and they were just as friendly and knowledgable as previous reviewers have stated. They scheduled an appointment for me, gave me a written estimate, called me during the repairs to give me a status report & estimated time of completion, and now it's back to normal and looking as good as before. Really nice people and service in an industry that doesn't often deliver on caring for customers. I'd use them again, no doubt! read more

PAB to the rescue once again! I had such a severe leak onto the driver's side floor I referred to it as "Lake Impala." Also, opening my trunk took extreme effort, and it slammed shut like a guillotine. 8 months ago I had such a positive experience with PAB after a rear-end accident I knew exactly where to go when I needed help. I was not disappointed! Within days both problems were solved. Phil and his wife worked magic, in my view, to have the new shocks required for the trunk covered by the insurance, and the new gasket for the door was a wondrous price for my limited budget! After parts arrived, both jobs were finished in less than an hour. This was a bit sad because I was really enjoying the wait due to Phil's wife being so personable. Thanks to PAB I did not have to go ice skating on Lake Impala in this freezing weather. I trust PAB implicitly. read more

There is no better place in Tacoma than PAB!! I had to bring my CRV to them last May after being hit by an uninsured motorist. PAB was fabulous. They handled most of the work with the insurance, worked out so I got OEM parts, and kept me posted on how the work was progressing. They treated me with respect and genuine concern. Then this year I was hit by a young lady in a very large, extended cab truck while I was stopped at a traffic light. She was insured. PAB once again did a fantastic job, and quickly. And they helped with the rental car making sure I was taken right over to get the rental for the short time they worked on my CRV. So here is how my Christmas started on December 19th my truck was parked on the street and at about midnight some punk kid decided he wanted to go joy riding on his off road vehicle and slammed in to the back of my truck and drove away. Yes that's right victim of hit and run a week before Christmas. I immediately called my insurance and luckily WA state has this little thing called uninsured motorist coverage. They recommended to take my vehicle in to service king and it would cost me $$$ 500.00 $$$$. Shit really right before Christmas. So I remembered my buddy telling me about precision auto body in Tacoma, and what he told me was they were very good and would work with me and give me good service. I decided to give them a call it was on Sunday not in their normal business hours. The owner called me back within an hour that day, which was fantastic, I wasn't expecting a call till the next day seeing how it wasn't normal business hours. You can tell that the owner really cares about his customers. I scheduled an appointment for the next day. When I got there it was raining cats and dogs, I was warmly greeted with a smile and the entire time I was there they made me feel like they really cared about my situation. The estimator was so awesome he was very thorough and took the time to explain everything to me and it being right before the holiday, I didn't know what to expect. When I talked to my insurance company originally they said that I did not have rental coverage. Well now, the insurance guru at precision didn't like the sound of that gave my insurance company a call and within a half and hour i was sitting in a rental car headed back to my normal day all compliments of my insurance company no charge to me. WAY TO GO INSURANCE GURU. These guys really saved my holiday. They told me with Christmas and the New Year we were looking at a few weeks on all the parts. and that I would be getting my truck back probably the second week in January. During the process of my truck getting fixed they stayed in constant communication with me and kept me in the loop the entire time. So now its time to pick up my truck and pay the bill. GREAT 500$$$$ really looking forward to this. When I arrived at precision my truck looked immaculate even better than when I dropped it off. They took me out to do a walk around and there work looked phenomenal, i mentioned that there was a scratch on my passenger door that has been there forever and havent been able to get that off, well within two minutes of me saying that the owner had went in to his shop came back out and took care of my passenger door with out me even asking him to do so. AWESOME. So when we went back in to the shop to pay the bill THE INSURANCE GURU was there and began to tell me that he talked with my insurance company and my deductible got lowered to 300.00 because it was a hit and run. Not only that he said and were giving you a 5% discount on the labor talk about a bonus I walked out only paying 175.00 these fricking guys are amazing and top of the line. THESE GUYS WORK FOR THEIR CUSTOMER NOT THE DAM INSURANCE COMPANY which is so hard to find in today's world, if I would have taken my truck to service king you can guarantee I wouldn't have had a rental car and I would have paid 500 how do i know because that's exactly what they told me when I called them If i ever need body work done again you can guarantee I will be headed to precision auto body.
