We purchased a home in Vacaville three years ago and knew the 20+ year old pool needed help. The plaster coat was pealing and we had several tiles missing. We contacted two other companies in the area. The first treated me like I was a moron and the owner's wife chewed me out for, as she called it, prematurely emptying our pool (didn't talk with them ever again). The second company showed up in an old car, missing several teeth, and talked to me about an hour about how everyone in the business (beside him of course) were crooks. He said he could resurface our pool for 7K if we paid him cash under the table and his work would not have a warranty. Never called him again either. A friend referred me to Chambers Pools. Mark picked up the phone and was friendly and courteous. He came by shortly thereafter and described what it would take to fix our pool. He didn't spend my time ripping on other companies, he only focused on what his could do for us. His quote came in less than "Mr All Cash", and the work was completed in the amount of time promised. As it turned out, Mark gave us a list of things we COULD do, and then let me pick which options worked well for us. Mark's crew showed up and really went to work. They finished the job exactly as described. We paid for monthly service, which helped offset the startup cost. Monthly service is timely and has kept our pool looking great. I will say, however, that the service costs more than others in the area, and they charge extra for tablets and Chlorine beyond what the contract stipulates. That being said, I can't complain about that to much because it was clearly stated in the service contract. It just seems that when you pay $110/month, those things would be included. It would be unfair for me to lower the star rating for something I signed for... Mark took the extra time to make sure I was happy with the project. Chambers Pool & Plaster re plastered our pool when we first purchased our home 3 years ago. The owner, Mark went above and beyond with our pump equipment to make sure everything worked properly and painted and labeled everything for us. We could not have been happier. They were very professional and our pool was and still is beautiful. We did not require full pool service at the time as we were doing the cleaning ourselves. Eventually due to personal circumstances we were unable to tend to our pool any longer so we sought a company to clean for us. Over 2 years time we ended up using four different companies. We employed people to clean our pool based on what we believed to be most cost effective. Unfortunately we learned the timely, frustrating lesson of "you get what you pay for". We ultimately called Chambers Pools and hired them to clean our pool for us on a weekly basis and now could not be happier. They are professional, courteous & always there to answer any questions or concerns we have. They are truly knowledgeable about every aspect of our pool & equipment. Not only is our pool cleaned every week (when it's supposed to be, which is an issue we had with other companies) but we didn't realize until it was cleaned properly, just how much it wasn't being done right with the other companies. Can't say enough about Chambers Pool Service. Any pool company can service your pool, but if you have anything beyond the basic pool care, Chambers Pools are the one to call. We had a disastrous situation with our fiberglass pool. The pool cracked.....the cement cracked and lifted...there were numerous breaks in the piping. It was just about as bad as it could get. Mark Chambers came out immediately, and calmly explained that our pool life wasn't over. The leaks were quickly identified and repaired. It was a massive job; where most of the piping could break it did! We envisioned a very expensive and lengthy repair job. Mark Chambers was able to repair our leaks without removing all the surrounding concrete, and quickly made our pool look great again. He kept us informed about what was being done each step of the way. About 2 months later a different part of the pool began to leak. (Not the original broken piping) Chambers Pool Service responded right away, identified the problem, and fixed it that day. Can't recommend them highly enough. When we decided to install our pool, we originally used the company that built the pool to maintain it. After the recession hit, they went out of business, and referred us to Chambers Pool service. Since I was not aware of this company, I was a bit hesitant, but as time went on I realized that this is the best decision that I made. They have continually been available to me whenever I needed them. Luann and Mark Chambers could not be better at customer service. Luann is a joy to work with whenever I have a bill problem or whatever I may need. If they are out of the office, I can leave a message and absolutely know they will return my call. Mark, and the rest of their staff, make my pool look beautiful all year long (even in the dead of winter) and in the summer they are there whenever any problem arises. We have used Chambers Pool Service for the full year we have owned our house. The old pool was kept up so well, we turned to Chambers to do the resurfacing last fall. The experience was much easier than we anticipated. Subcontractors were so well coordinated that a neighbor hung around to watch the process with us. Excellent results. This 25-year old company based in Winters was recommended to me by my neighbor who just had her pool restored. My pool was in woeful condition and they turned it into a little piece of the Caribbean.
