My first call was to PPS, they've always treated me fair, went above and beyond, and displayed nothing but integrity. Nick showed up and within a couple of minutes found the problem. The breakers within the timer box had tripped. I had completely forgotten about those switches. Instead of making me feel stupid Nick waived the service fee and made sure my pump and heater were working well before he left. The business is called "professional pool service " but there is nothing professional about them. In fact, this is the worst pool service and customer service you can get. Please steer away. The guy often came in and out within 2 mins. Not sure if he even checked or did anything to my pool. Today, I came out right after he left and checked the basket and it was not emptied with full of bugs and debris. I called and asked them to come back to do what they are supposed to do as part of their service and Ginger - (who is their receptionist I guess) said with full of attitude she needed management approval for that. And that I should not be upset at her and disruptively hung up while I was mid sentence. Fair assessment is that I was upset while calling but not yelling or rude. I simply asked them when they can provide the service they missed and all I received was attitude and rudeness, not even a simple apology for the crappy service . I discovered that my pool booster pump had formed a crack in it late last week and I left a voicemail message with the Pro Pools staff after hours. Early the next morning, the office staff reached out and asked for any photos/videos I could provide. The morning after I provided that (had to wait until I got off work to take the pics/video), I was called by Pro Pools advising me there was a product defect warranty for that particular pump and that they had ordered a new one. The following Monday, they called first thing in the morning to tell me the replacement pump had arrived and that they would be out to switch them out later that day. Sure enough, by the end of the afternoon, I returned home to find my pool pump system working with complete smoothness via the new booster pump! I have been a client of Pro Pools for over 15 years and they have ALWAYS been incredibly responsive whenever a problem arose, whether small or large. They constantly communicate with me regarding the status of my pool and any service requests I make above and beyond routine maintenance. Nick came out to fix a warranty issue with my Pentair Intellicenter. He fixed the problem immediately, last year we had the same exact problem and the previous company took 4 trips out to us to fix the problem and it wasn't even a permanent fix. Then Nick went above and beyond by offering a convenience feature be added for our sheer descent, he did it on the spot and didn't charge for anything but the parts since he was already out. Last Thursday, the company replaced the chlorine tabs and the container sank, staining my newly resurfaced pool. The comment I received from the owner was "what do you want me to do about it? One day the service tech told me my pool pump was not working properly, the company sent me a purchase order to repair the pump for around $1800, keep in mind I got it replaced for half the cost with another company. Then because my pool turned green do to not having a working pump and I was working hard to get it under control after the replacement I finally did. We have been using this service for 2 yrs and within the last 3- 6 months the service has been atrocious. Last week for the second time the individual servicing the pool has taken apart our filter, took the parts, and left. He spent 9 min doing "pool cleaning". It's outrageous, the second heat wave that we can't use our pool. We have made continuous calls just to be told they would have a different person come out "when they are able". So in the meantime the algae that has already been building up from poor service is getting worse. Be cautious when choosing this company because there will be times you are unable to use your pool as you wait for service, cleaning and parts. Certainly unfortunate in a heat wave. I spoke to some of the previous workers and they mentioned a lot of the new hires are not given adequate training, which I am sure is part of the problem. read more
