I have been suffering from chronic pain and fibromyalgia for more than 15 years. I had seen so many…read moredoctors that I do not even remember how many. Unfortunately, none of them had helped me with my pain except a lot of pills that made me feel like a zombie. The pain is so bad I could not do anything except lying in bad in agony. Finally I was lucky enough to be referred to Dr. Williams by a friend, who was Dr. Williams' former patient. I want to say She is a God send! She was professional, courteous, personable and caring. The most important is that I was almost pain free after two weeks of her Chinese herbal formulas treatment. I was so happy that I was in tears with joy. I have not been felling like this , I do not know, for how many years!!! Her office staff were also wonderful. They made me feel special, not just another number on their patients' list.

I called Dr. J. Ying Williams office to inquire about her practice in chinese medicine. I…read moreexplained to the person on the phone that my husband has a history of cancer and that we are looking to meet with someone skilled in chinese medicine that can suggest nutrition, herbs and acupuncture for increased health. The person on the phone told me that Dr. Williams was an acupuncturist, that I would have to set up an appointment and explained the cost of each appointment. I'm familiar with acupuncture but also explained that i wanted to make sure she is skilled in chinese herbs and nutrition. The person on the phone then brashly told me that "WE DO NOT MAKE ANY MONEY ON HERBS"! Wow, I've had a long career in the health care industry and this is the first time I've ever heard anyone representing a medical professional (Dr. Williams is an MD) actually tell the potential patient that THEY ARE IN IT FOR THE MONEY! I asked for the person's name and found out it is Jared and that he is part owner of the practice. To me, that says it all about this operation and their motivation. The way I was treated was very disappointing and there are plenty of other alternative medicine practices that truly care about the well being of the patient....NOT THIS ONE.

I always make it a point to come here whenever I'm visiting my mom in Frederick. After trying a few…read moreplaces in the area over the years, I realized nothing compares to the level of professionalism, consistency, and genuine care that this clinic provides. What really sets them apart is that everything feels transparent and trustworthy. The therapists here aren't relying on friends or family to boost their ratings -- their reputation comes from real clients who keep returning because the quality is unmatched. Every session feels intentional, therapeutic, and grounded in actual skill, not just routine motions. The environment is clean, calming, and organized, and the staff communicates clearly from the moment you book your appointment. They take the time to listen, adjust the pressure, and focus on what your body actually needs. There's never any rushed feeling, no awkwardness, and no "assembly line" vibe like you get at so many other places. Honestly, going anywhere else feels like a waste of time. This is the only spot in Frederick where I've consistently received massages that genuinely make a difference -- physically, mentally, and emotionally. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Personally, I don't trust the "independent" or solo-operated setups you see around -- the ones with inconsistent communication, unclear policies, questionable reviews, and none of the structure or accountability you get in a real clinic. Too many of them rely on personal acquaintances for ratings, and the quality varies wildly. It's just not worth the risk. This clinic is the only place in Frederick where I feel completely safe, cared for, and confident in the professionalism behind every service. I won't go anywhere else -- and I genuinely don't recommend that anyone else does either.

I've used acupuncture before and it worked and it's working again. She's very professional and the office is as clean as a doctors office. As far as we're concerned, she's an expert on her field. So when we moved out here, we were hoping we can find someone with almost the same mastery, skills and competence although we understand that individuals will have different personal experiences. Suffice it to say that we all have different experiences when it comes to receiving services from these professionals. However, I have been going to acupuncturist since I was young so I am well versed with it. I can tell if the acupuncturist is an experienced one and who knows what he or she is doing or not. So when I went to an acupuncturist located in Linglestown, I feel like I was a human pin cushion and looked like a poor copy of a porcupine. I can feel the needle pain because the way it is placed on is only skin deep as opposed to placing it into the pressure points. However, I'm always a forever optimistic so I gave the acupuncturist a couple more tries, 5 times to be exact because I paid for a plan which was 5 + 1 free. I decided to ditch the last session and looked for another provider. I found Dr. Lee and she's amazing. She expertly placed needles into the pressure point. I don't feel the needle pain and she knows exactly where the areas that are connected where pain is emanating from. After the session, I felt a slight relief from the pain. From experience, my shoulder pain will take a couple of sessions before the pain is managed and in my case, I was out of acupuncture therapy for more than a year so it's like going on a reset. So on my second session, my pain has gone down a little further. Her office clinic is pretty simple, clean and well organized. There are two rooms for therapy. The larger room can accommodate for individuals who use wheelchair or walkers. The session usually takes about 40 minutes to an hour. She takes in insurance but you need to check out what insurance providers are accepted. In your first visit, you pay for the initial assessment and an acupuncture treatment. Make sure you wear loose clothes so she can easily access pressure point areas that needed to be treated. She pays close attention to where you indicate the pain is and she would also make sure that areas connected to it are also covered. There is enough parking so you don't have to worry about fighting for a parking spot. I highly recommend Dr. Lee. She doesn't need to give away any promotional and marketing materials to indicate that she's pretty good in her chosen profession.
