This has become my go-to bagel spot when I'm in NJ. I discovered it on Too Good To Go and was really impressed. It's between my mom's house and my sister's house, so I can't resist stopping in for bagels or a quick lunch. They have a few tables and a bathroom, so it's not just to-go and delivery. They have tasty breakfast sandwiches. The arepas are amazing. They always have a ton of bagels to choose from, including jalapeno. I need to branch out and explore more of the actual food items on their menu, since they have a full Venezuelan menu. The family that runs it is really sweet. Another nice thing is that they're outside the summer traffic zone and they have a parking lot. Next time you have to do some chore at the municipal complex or the hospital, stop here for a little reward. Just as long as that errand is done before they close at 3pm. read more

I had almost given up on arepas in general after trying many places. I came here to pick up some bagels and saw the Pabellon Arepa $12 with the plantains inside and decided to give it one last shot. I'm glad I did because I would come back for more. The flavors and textures here were delicious. It's usually the texture that gets me at other places. My pork roll egg and cheese was big, the best part was that it was concentric meaning the egg, pork roll, and cheese were organized so that it wasn't lopsided. Basically it was made with love, you can just tell by the way it was organized. Texmex wrap was good as well, since it was made with love, it was even looking and the ingredients were spread apart unlike some places where you get a concentration of ingredients in different portions of the wrap. The empanada was out of this world, definitely recommend, also the green garlic sauce that it comes with is really delicious! A great bagel and such nice service! We ordered a bagel with cream cheese, on the light side, and another egg, meat and cheese. They double checked with me to see if the amount of cream cheese was okay, which I appreciated. Everything was still yummy a half hour later when we got home. How in Venezuela everyone just asks for this same smoothie, and always the next question is "hot or cold?" He stated he prefers it cold! (Just like me!) Don't be confused by the name, this is not your typical bagel joint. This is the go to spot for Venezuelan food. If you've never had an arepa, prepare for phase 2 of your life. Its a whole new world, kids. The folks that run this are awesome people and the food is amazing. All of the arepas are great, my go to is the chicken(its a shredded chicken in a red sauce) but my wife loves the pabelon (beef/beans/cheese). The real star is the green garlic sauce. Im not a big condiment person but they give you a lil cup of this liquid heaven with most of the dishes and its insanely good. We fight over it. Definitely check this place out if you're feeling like something a lil different. They also have a traditional sandwich, bagel, cheesesteak menu that looks great but I haven't strayed from the Venezuelan stuff. Spent the weekend in Asbury Park and found a nice spot for some bagels you could order ahead online with this find. The bagels were really good. They were super thicc and filling. I do wish I could have ordered one with scallion cream cheese, but cest la vie. The veggie cream cheese I had was good, but it was almost "too" veggie. Which is great if you like veggie. I was so excited to try this place as the food looks great. The place was very clean and staff was very friendly. They wrote down our order and received the food promptly. Once we got home though, the breakfast platter was incorrect. We ordered the pericos, our scrambled eggs had nothing in them and the sausage wasn't there either. The home fries tasted like they were made with real potatoes (not frozen) but there wasn't seasoning to the eggs and little on the potatoes. Everything was a large portion. The breakfast burrito was good, full on ingredients. The chorizo empanada did have plenty of meat, but it falls out easily and is pretty boring (doesn't have that nice spicy chorizo kick and would benefit from a little cheese just to help hold the meat in). The plain area was huge and cooked very well-fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The everything bagel was good, and there was a decent amount of cream cheese on it (not as thick as other pics show). We tried the veggie cream cheese, it was okay. I like the Philly brand veggie cream cheese better. And, like all the others that mentioned it, the green sauce is amazing! We got like .5 oz with the empanada. Ask for or oder more if you're getting multiple items and put it on everything! Wouldn't like get breakfast there again, nothing blew me away, just regular breakfast food you could get anywhere. I ordered the pabellon and pulled beef empanadas and my wife had a pulled pork arepa. We loved our food, especially with the green salsa de ajo that comes with them. It was an awesome introduction to Venezuelan food and the prices are great! We ate at the expensive beach restaurants before this and this was way better, go figure. I've ordered from here twice. This is a family owned business that makes great food. The first time we ordered lunch! We ordered the Pabellón Arepa, Pernil Patacon, Cachapa, Pepito (one beef and one chicken) and 4 empanadas. The food was super favorable and enough to share. My son ordered the Pabellon and he said that he thought that he would still be hungry after eating because it looked small, he said it was delicious and super filling! Cachapa was sweet corn pancake and it was sweet and savory (will definitely order again!) The Patacón: shredded pork and cheese on top of tostones. The Pepito is a sandwich that is filled with meat, cheese and goodness! The next time we ordered breakfast. 2 chorizo and 2 bacon egg and cheese empanadas. The chorizo empanadas were literally stuffed with chorizo the family loved them. Chamo's Avocado Toast- my daughter and I split it because it was filling and really good! The Perico which was finished as soon as it was put down. We also ordered Tequeños which are great with coffee and chicharrón! The smoothies and shakes are great too! Try it! Ok go!.... first things first, and nope, never met them a day in my life before (although I wouldn't have minded that either) They know how to run a business. (excuse me I started to drool thinking about it) I ordered the Arepa with cheese and Columbian chorizo one day (yup, went back the next) and the Arepa with cheese and Mexican Chorizo the next. Ugh! Sooooo good. That was definitely thee best Arepa I had in my life! Crunchy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. They were nicely stuffed both times, no stinginess here. Then to top it off (literally) they have this little container of green sauce which I call "magical sauce" it's creamy and has a garlicky taste to it. Yummy!!! My partner ordered the "Chamo's Avo Toast" he loved it! When I tell you I turned my head and he was done eating... I kid you not! It was gone! Lol I'm a coffee lover so coffee is very important to me. They serve the WB Coffee and ugh again....that was soooo good! Fresh and hot!
