My family and I stopped at Comfi for breakfast before heading to the beach. While driving through Belmar, I found Comfi on a whim and I'm so glad I did. I got a custom omelet with the kielbasa hash upgrade (highly recommend), and it was great! My mom, who is notoriously picky, got the kielbasa with sauerkraut and loved it--which says a lot. Comfi is a really cute spot with friendly staff. This place was absolutely amazing for brunch. Our local friends recommended it on our way out of Jersey, and they deserve all the high fives. We arrived on the early side on a weekend day, which was perfect timing- when we left, there was quite a line. The entire menu sounded amazing and it was so hard to pick what to order. I went with the no retreat, no surrender, and my husband went with the banana mascarpone space station pancakes. We also ordered the pierogies, because it is one of his favorite foods. Everything was amazing. The lattes and other coffee drinks were amazing, and our waitress was spot on the whole time. Food came out quickly and we left incredibly happy. We ordered French toast, eggs, crispy potatoes and lamb eggs Benedict. I wasn't a huge fan of the eggs Benedict, I found that my pita got super soggy under the runny egg but everything else was good. I used to visit the Comfi location in Old Bridge when I lived nearby. This was my first visit to the Belmar location which is approx 25 min from my home in Sea Bright. I have always been impressed with Comfi, the homemade pierogis are excellent as is the high quality Kielbasa. The portions are tremendous as is the service. The location is cute with an old fashioned breakfast counter. Street parking is available. Prices are on par with local diners while the quality is top notch. read more

We're visiting and our friend who lives here said this is a MUST GO place for their giant pancakes. The portions here are HUGE that you can definitely split a dish with someone and probably still have leftovers. We got the top o the morning, the "I'm still undecided" with kielbasa, the British banger and the "no retreat no surrender". Everything was very tasty but felt very greasy. My plate rhe "I'm still undecided" with kielbasa - felt like they gave me wayyyy too much kielbasa that I had to get a separate plate to put it on so I could get to the rest of my food. The pancake and French toast were delicious! The eggs felt greasy and not seasoned at all. The potatoes felt unnecessary and while the kielbasa was good, there was just too much of it. What a cool restaurant, with friendly employees, and really amazing food. I knew I was going to like this place the moment I stepped in... which by the way, I was the first customer of the day. It says something about the type of place it is when it is completely packed by 8:15 AM. Today's breakfast included: the Comfi Benedict, homemade pierogies (which were truly to die for), Wild Thing, and hot chocolate. I'd like to point out that the hot chocolate was also served in the Disney princess mug, which totally made my day lol. The restaurant is clean, fun, and vibrant which is truly and extension of its staff and food. Yum. What a find! So happy that Comfi has returned to Belmar, and is just as good if not better than it's always been! Had brunch there today and finally satisfied my craving for their "Sexy and You Know It" that I've had for the last 2 years! Combination of a croissant with cream cheese , bacon (instead of ham) Carmel used onions, scallions, tomatoes, three perfectly poached eggs and a side of hollandaise. Our party also had a bacon omelette with onions, the "I only Want You" (7 grain french toast with lots of fruit and candied nuts, and all we're fantastic! What a fantastic breakfast. Comfi has one of the most extensive breakfast menus I've ever seen. A ton of healthy options too! I'm sure they're lunch is great too but I only got to try breakfast and I was super satisfied. I picked up breakfast for me and my boyfriend while we were staying in Belmar. Only about a mile away from the boardwalk I took a walk and was greeted by a very friendly worker. I scanned the menu for a minute then decided on the Forever Young breakfast and the perogi omelette. I wanted something healthy and the Forever Young was perfect - asparagus, peppers, turkey, egg whites and onions. All sautéed together, yummy. It was came with a huge side of delicious fresh fruit. It was incredibly worth the price because it was really enough for two days worth of breakfast. The loaded perogi omelette was really something else. Delicious fluffy eggs and hidden inside was two ginormous fantastic homemade perogies. I was expecting cut up perogies inside the omelette but I was so shocked when I saw the two massive ones inside the omelette - oh, which was wrapped in bacon as well! Really, it's the perfect breakfast. With a side of sour cream, it was really delicious. Comfi also seemed to have outdoor seating in the back. It happens, however when you order something you want it right the first time not needing to call back and wait for it to be cooked right. I order togo all the time and know condensation builds up in the box, doesnt mean the steak should be as thin as a piece of paper. Not even steak at that point. Stopped in on a busy summer day for breakfast after our first restaurant I had an insane wait. Plenary of parking on Main Street in belmar. I got a black coffee and sample breakfast with eggs pancake French toast potatoes and turkey bacon for $1 up charge. I have never been to this restaurant before so I appreciate it having a sample platter as an option. Everything was great especially the French toast. Fishing makes you hungry. I like to support local Businesses, so during one of my outings I decided to grab some grub. Loved the diner feel of the restaurant! Food was great, home style feel to it - and the coffee was even better. Bathroom was not closed off to patrons (other local businesses close down restrooms with an excuse of COVID or just not wanting to clean). This was more important to me than the food because I just had an outing fishing, had a chance to clean up before the fantastic meal. Loved the vibes and the local people. Will be back!! read more

I wanted to eat at Comfi's two locations before I wrote an review. Hopefully I will try the Old Bridge location in the New Year. Great location, close to the beach and lots of street parking available. Comfi is located next to a donut shop, which we left no room for, next time. We sat at the counter and got the kitchen window view and a chance to speak to one of the very friendly owners. Severs were busy grabbing burgers, breakfast sandwiches and omelettes. Very efficient staff and worked well together. Incredibly hard menu to order from, soo much good stuff!! We watched the pick up window of all the various flavors of pancake stacks, fancy French toasts and the special menu item, a Pierogi taco! My brunch BFF and I shared a stack of crushed Reese's PB cup, banana, chocolate and peanut butter drizzle concoction as our first course- left over alert!! And spilt a crispy chicken cutlet sandwich for the main meal. Both delicious and had enough food for lunch the next day. Oh yeah and the ice coffee, strong and flowing!! Terrible, 1st off I gota used cont of sour cream, Opened it and you see a fork was used in it, the Pirogies have no, Zero, 0 Taste no butter at all, taste like it was on the grill and sautéed with nothing. The worse perogies iuave ever had, mushy and soft, No crisp. I couldnt even get a refund at all from DoorDash. Mushy soft, no butter or oil taste at all. The best breakfast in the Jersey Shore. The place isn't upscale and I like the old school vibe to it. The portions are huge and the prices are incredible. The quality of the food is awesome too and it is a home run overall. I think the Oreo with Reeses Peanut Butter pancakes were called "You're the one for me."
