But I couldn't remember the exact size of his tiny bulb, so off to Ace I went. Michael, who helped me match the bulb, was super friendly. Thanks, Michael! Is merchandise overpriced? Yes, depending on what it is. In defense of hardware stores everywhere, they simply can't buy in bulk like larger retailers can. Because of this you don't see Amazon & Walmart prices. However, the store is very, very well organized and clean, offers superb customer service and has very convenient hours. I would definitely return again for anything that's urgently needed. They do have great sales on items throughout the seasons; grass seed, mulch, tools, outdoor equipment and more. My single, teeny, weeny bulb cost me about $8. I turned around and bought a box of 10 bulbs for $10 on Amazon. Lightbulbs won't bring me back to Ace, but I'm sure something else will.

Anything with a brand name here though tends to be more expensive than at other stores (example: Brand name product X was like $3.50 here, but only $2.30 at Farm and Fleet), so be cautious on that. They've got a large selection of: power tools, welding stuffs, safety supplies (gloves, glasses, etc), wrenches, hammers, clamps, axes, screwdrivers, car repair tools, pneumatic tools, piping supplies, and tons more I'm forgetting.

The first floor has a small section for electronics, mainly old CRT TVs and other random electronics. They have many desk, tv stands, chairs at very good prices. Depending on your luck I can see how you can make off with a very good deal. The chairs themselves were very old and I could not see myself buying a used recliner. The basement has tons of hardware material well organized. On the second floor is home goods. Lots of the merchandise on this floor is very very old. Overall if you like second hand goods this would be your store. FYI there is no clothes at this store. They promised a 25% discount/return if I would accept the item as-is, but I had to call and demand the refund three times, and never got it.
