My current cleaners closed. I took 5 Land's End cotton shirts by for was and press. I asked the price and was told 3.50 each. I went by today to pick them up and gave a $20 bill expecting the total to be around 17.50 or so. The girl said $30.14. I said this is wrong. She checked and said some of the shirts had to be dry cleaned. The shirts were all to be same cotton shirts. No manager or owner there just a delivery driver which of course didn't care. I will never use that place again and will advise others to avoid it also. The girl should have looked and seen they were wrong but she didn't care. read more

1 is the LOWEST or it would be a negative 5 ! I have been signed up for pick up and delivery, I have called and left messages, without getting a call back when requested. And HAVE HAD MY CLOTHES HANG AS INSTRUCTED FOR PICK UP, AND NEVER PICKED UP! Have driven there 2 times after no one would answer the phone to inquire and verify, spoke with a young girl 1st time, then same thing happened, all the way to NO ONE ANSWERING THE PHONE WHILE OPEN AND CLOTHES LEFT HANGING ON DOOR as I had left it Thursday for pick up, went out of town and returned to my bag still hanging on the door. Called lwft message to call me, YEP YOU GUESSED IT, NO RETURN CALL. So I go back up there 11 miles 1 way each time and now a young man, verified address, name, delivery days and process and ask do I need to call , NO , They come by and of not there they keep going, OKAY. So this morning, to be double safe, call again 30 minutes after advertised time open to make aware and same thing NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE, SO AGAIN left a message. Put bag on door went to meeting, called again while driving, NO Answer, left message. Come back home to check and YEP, AT 12 PM STILL HANGING, Now 5 hours later. Call, no answer lwft another message waited 15 minutes, called again back to back to back to finally get someone to answer. She was ABSOLUTELY LESS THAN CONCERNED OR apologetic, instead she responds to my question of why no one can answer the phone I've been calling since this morning and he response" well there's only 2 of us here and I dont have time to keep answering th phone to see what someone may need" But I can call the driver and see if hes still where he might be able to come by and pick up if you want me to check ( REALLLY) 1- Do you think that answer was going to give me more confidence to trust ANYINE there with my clothes? 2- Should you even have to ask an ignorant question " Do I" after you've stated you dont answer the phone because you dont have time to see what who's calling wants and I'm gonna leave you my clothes at ANY POINT TO HANDLE NOW!!!!!!!!! If there's only2 people there thats not my issue , thats your owners issue, if I didnt want the clothes picked up and service e completed I would not have done all previously described that I explained to you. Finally, I ask for the owners to give me a call , and of course almost an hour has past and NO PHONE CALL!!!!!! I had an issue with getting someone else's laundry in my pickup one time & also being shorted my own. Both were long & annoying ordeals. Didn't go back for 6+ months but decided to give them one more chance. Went back, dumped out my laundry bag & the lady told me I didn't have to count my pieces. I told her I'd like to and as I kept counting, she asked a younger man to help me & said aloud, "I don't know why he's still doing that - I already told him he didn't have to." I immediately repacked my bag of 10+ items, explained that I was counting due to my previous two experiences where they'd made mistakes & left. I'll never return. 3 strikes & you're out. read more

We went to Champion in Daphne because our cleaners of over 10 years went out of business recently. We used them to launder, starch, and press my husband's dress shirts, as well as fry clean the occasional dress or suit. (I mention this because we know what quality and good customer service is, as we received it there.) Our experience at Champion was terrible. We brought 6 pieces for laundry and 7 for dry clean, upon recommendation from a friend. We were only given 4 of OUR shirts at pickup, 2 that were NOT ours, and 1 of our shirts had wrinkles "pressed in" across the back. Upon returning it for a redo, as well as inquiring about the other 3 missing shirts, the 2 attendants proceeded to tell me there was nothing they could do and I'd have to wait until someone could find them the next day. They also proceeded to tell me that they didn't see the problem with the wrinkled shirt. After pressing for them to look for my missing pieces, which they weren't even willing to try to do, they quickly found them and reluctantly took the wrinkled shirt for a re-do. They never once apologized for the trouble or mistakes. This leads me to the attitudes of the employees. They were completely rude and disrespectful. I simply wanted a proposed solution to the problem but instead, they pushed it on to me and made me feel like I had made a mistake. I returned to the store a few days later to pickup the Re-do. The employee (a new one to me) brought out the shirt and it had the same pressed-in wrinkles across the back. His comment was "I don't see anything wrong with this". Again, I was made to feel as if I was the problem. I asked to speak to someone who might know if it's possible to get the wrinkles out. The lady in the back said she could "try". I thanked her and left. After I go back for a 3rd time, for 1 batch of clothes, I will never return to Champion Cleaners in Daphne and I advise no one else to, either. These people ruined my wife's favorite dress and blamed it on the label. They claimed the label saying "dry clean only" was wrong even though she had it dry cleaned by other businesses before. Called and spoke with a lady, asked how much it would be to get a bridesmaids dress STEAMED and she told me it would be like 10% of a cleaning so it would be around $10. Then when I go to pick it up, I get charged $30. The college frat boys working in there this day, could not tell me why it was $30 instead of $10 they just replied "yeah I don't know I don't even take stuff to get cleaned here and I work here". Then, the next week I call to get explanation and they said they were sorry and they can give me cash back on my account. I said Well I don't get stuff cleaned here so, that would not do me any good. And they said ok well we can't do anything else. Horrible customer service, and may I mention my dress really didn't look that steamed??? I give it a 0/10. I had an ok experience at Champion Cleaners, but nothing to proverbially write home about. This seems to be a local dry cleaner and all work is done on site, which is definitely a plus. Service was professional and friendly. They have a two day turnaround, which I would say is average. I had a suit and pants dry-cleaned and both looked great. I did take off one star for the price. My total was $18.91 for a pair of pants and a suit. I'm not sure how that compares to other locations in the area, but $6/piece seemed a bit high for average two day service. At least in other cities I'm used to dry-cleaning at $2/piece. Normally I wouldn't take off a star for somewhat high prices, but the prices also aren't advertised, so may want to be careful before dropping off a large order! read more

Have been using Champion Cleaners for over a year. Had no problem until a few months ago. I picked up several pieces that had been cleaned and ended up with a blouse that was not mine. The blouse was included on my ticket and I ended up paying for it in error. I took the blouse back and explained it was not mine and asked to be refunded or a credit be applied to my account for future use. The guy that assisted me told me I was wrong and this was my blouse, I explained it was not... then he refused to refund me or credit me. I asked him to check on this since I paid for something to be dry cleaned that wasn't mine... there was also a girl working that day and she also made me aware there was no way for me to get a credit or refund. The girl working said she would make the supervisor aware of the issue and someone would call me. I have not heard anything at all. I even picked up some more dry cleaning and asked about the issue again. I was told by the same girl that someone was looking into it. It has been several months at this point... Some times I'm forgetful. A while ago I hung a natural linen sport coat on the door handle of my car. After I moved all my other things in the house I remembered an errand and I drove away. I heard a mysterious thumping noise emanating from the rear passengers door. When I looked in the side mirror I saw my jacket being kicked over and over again by my rear tire. Huge black marks were all over the front and side. I honestly had no hope of it ever coming clean. Of course I forgot about it until I needed the jacket for an event this Saturday. I brought my hideously stained jacket to establishment hoping for a miracle. Clearly the person who handles stains attended a school for witches and wizards as the cleanliness of my jacket is nothing short of magical. Thank you so much for saving my favorite jacket from what I feared was certain doom. As long as I live in this area I will use no other cleaners. Not sure what the deal is, but I get my drycleaning done there and went in for alterations (after checking their facebook page to make sure they do alterations), and the teenager at the counter tells me they dont do alterations. The girl was also not very nice about it either even though I spend a ton of money getting my drycleaning done there. read more

We had used Champion for over ten years. All the employees are friendly, courteous, seem to care and clothes are usually returned as requested in a timely manner . After Mardi Gas I dropped off my tails and didn't think about it until April when I realized I need them in June. I had my pants but couldn't find my coat. When I talked with the Cleaners the were polite but adamant that they had returned my tails coat to me. I asked when they returned it and their computer showed that it been returned to me 15+ days after drop off. They are usually good about getting things back in two days, why was this so long? I asked the manager to have the owner call me. After a week I called back and spoke with the same girl, who I assume is the manager. She informed me that the owner was willing to give me ten times the cost of cleaning the coat ($70.00) but they were still sure I had misplaced it. The one star isn't because they do bad work or lost my tails it's because they didn't handle it well. All I wanted was the owner to call and let me know he cares enough to look into it. BTW the tails coat along with a shirt showed up a couple of weeks after I purchased a new set of tails. No call, no note. read more
