We got a nasty letter from the water dept saying we are using too much water & we have a leak. Next day we got a $650 water bill. (it's usually around $50) Champion came out right away the following day and Derek said we have a broker water pipe under our driveway. They did the work and I was very happy with the service. He told me he would call the water company & the inspector would come out to check it before they filled in the hole. It's been 3 weeks & I still have a big hole in my front yard. Champion was very nice & said they called the water company 3 times. I would hire Champion again & I would have given them a 5 star rating if the work was completed. Horrible. Do not use them. I scheduled for service. They wanted to charge me $1200 to replace a door jam. We had my appointment set for Nov. 27 which was about a week after I initially called. They called me the day before and told me the guy had an urgent issue and could not make it. Fine. I rescheduled for Dec.11. The day before the called me and told me the guy cannot make it and also they would not be able to send their "expert" next tile as well. Then they set my appt for Dec. 24. Very upset because I had a trip coming up and they knew this, I decided to go with "Handy Helping Hand" handyman services. Not only did they come out the same weekend, the only charged me $800 and made the door look brand new in terms of strength and looks by replacing the door jam and painting. A perfect replacement job. My advice is don't give your money to these "reward winning" business who could give to craps about you. This used to be a very affordable service. We used them several times in the past. But I got an estimate today to install a new wired ring doorbell, and they wanted over $500!!! The best discount he could give me was $390. No wiring, no hard work, just take off the old one and put on the new one. That is an absolutely utterly INSANE obscene price. If a negative rating were available, that is what I would choose for Las Vegas Handyman. In February 2018 my parents were given a quote to replace a set of exterior French doors. The work was started by Adam. He had no idea how to set the new doors, and both of them hung at different angles. There was a 1/2" gap between the two doors which allowed dirt in, and heat/AC to escape. I called and expressed my disappointment with Dave. Dave arrived a few days later with Steve. The problem is that Adam had already begun staining the doors. Dave agreed that the doors were improperly ordered, and did not fit. He referred to the LVHM buyer situation as "Screwed the pooch on this one." Except, it's my parents that got screwed, and Dave doesn't care. We were told that since Adam had already begun staining the doors that my parents could not return the French doors that Adam had installed. Dave took Adam off the job and he was replaced by Steve. We couldn't get a straight answer from Steve or Dave about when the work would be completed. Steve missed three appointments in a row - that Dave told me he was scheduled to work. Finally, in May 2018 (FOUR MONTHS LATER) I threatened to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That phone call finally got Steve out to complete the job. He had to remove the new French doors so they could be sealed, and replace them with plywood doors (FOR 2 DAYS). There is still a 1/2" gap between the new French doors and you can clearly see daylight through them. The weather stripping that was installed is clearly as inadequate as the size of the doors. The right door bows inward and is not flush with the left door. It's a horrible installation. I would never recommend Las Vegas Handyman to anyone. Ever. read more

I did not actually use Champion Services, but I called them to get an estimate to hang a few wall shelves in one of my guest bedrooms. I was told on the phone that after they give me the estimate, if I'm ok with it, they can hang the shelves during that same visit. The handyman came to my house and gave me an estimate of approximately $600 to hang shelves. He also said he couldn't do it that day because he had 3 other calls after me and he'd need a 1/2 day to hang the shelves. I called a different handyman company and they hung the shelves in 90 minutes for almost 1/3 of the price. read more

Adjust locks and change weather stripping on 3 doors to o/s house. Accepted bid for work and Mark came on set date and work was done. Within 2 days new weather stripping installed on door from house to garage tore. He came out to "fix it". After another two days it tore again. Now Champion says floor panel beneath door has to be replaced and that cost is not covered by original quote. Basically told then no that you did an estimate and you should have known that at the time estimate was prepared. Very disappointing when companies do not honor their estimates and stand behind their work Would not use them again and would NOT recommend them. I am beyond disappointed with this business. Requested someone come out to do a few odd jobs and replace toilet valves in two of our three bathrooms. They go bad after a few years with the hard water here, no big deal to swap them out. No issues with either of the toilets other than the valves were old and not flushing as efficiently as they used to. From the day he replaced them, after every flush, they continue to run for about a minute or longer, once they've refilled. One of them flushes itself twice, somehow. They NEVER did this before. We requested someone come back to troubleshoot but he said it's our pipes. HOW could he even know this?!!! You'd think he might have mentioned it while he was here, if he suspected there was an issue after he replaced the parts. But we had NO issue with running toilets until he "fixed" them. And if it were the pipes, then wouldn't the third toilet be running too? Our water bill has gone up slightly. We've called a couple times requesting he come back out. He finally agreed to come back, then canceled saying it's our pipes and to call the water company. Couldn't possibly be shoddy workmanship or cheap parts used... What a joke. Now I get to hire another handyman to fix this. I have no faith he'd honestly try to fix them at this point, even if we could convince him to come back. On April 16th I had an appt with someone to come out and give me an estimate on some work I needed done, install a tankless water heater, bring down a wall along the stairs to put in some railings and the install of the railings. The tech that went out was Dusty and in 3 days I got the price for the 1st 2 , but the railings I wanted could not be done. I sent them another picture and they sent it out to another one of the guys and then I was told yes, that we can do. I had a tech by the name of Matt go out on 5/3 and today the 4th I get an email stating they are not able to do any of the work! I asked for a reason if I did get a price for the 2 times and what was the reason all of a sudden none of the work could be done and they referred me to a construction company! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE NOT WHAT THEY SAY!!!!! On the website they have a picture of the work I need done and they also claim they install tankless water heaters!!! I checked out a couple websites, and called around. We decided on LV Handyman. I called at 3pm and was able to schedule an appointment for 8am the next morning. The Handyman, Herman, was early! He called when he was on his way. He was very polite and very professional. He took a look at the issue, gave us a quote (very fair price, cheaper than Home Depot would have been). We wanted to watch him work as we wanted to learn how to do this in the future. He was very okay with that, and let us ask him questions while he worked. I was very impressed as he was able to get everything to work within about 45 minutes and one trip to Home Depot to get one part we didn't have. I was also impressed because he had over 20 years experience in the construction industry. He wasn't just some joe off the street. You could tell he knew what he was doing. I am not always that comfortable letting anyone into our house, but the service and professionalism of LV Handyman cannot be beat. I was a loyal and satisfied customer of LVH for years but they've now 3 times no-showed on service windows, each with a different excuse, and none with any reparation or apology. On January 25, 2018, my assistant booked a repair appointment with LVH for February 3 and received a window of 1-3 pm. My assistant reconfirmed on January 29. At 2:30, I called asking for the timing of my technician, and was told someone had been repeatedly calling me all morning. Why? To cancel? To reschedule? An appointment is an appointment. I was at a location with poor cell coverage and I received no call. Out of desperation to meet the home buyer's repair window, we rescheduled at great inconvenience for February 6. The tech showed that time and the work was $400 -- so I was not too small a job. Thinking this was a one-time glitch, my assistant booked on March 5 an extensive appointment for Saturday, March 17, to hang all of my items on the wall in the new house. Service window received: 10-noon. At 11:45, I called and Dave told me that Dan, the service technician apparently assigned my job, didn't pick up his schedule and was in California. Again at personal inconvenience and desperation to get the work done, I rescheduled for Tuesday, March 20, for Dave's recommended 8-10 service window. At 9:30 March 20, again stood up, I called LVH (who now answers the phone as "service center" or "dispatch" -- classy) and Dave told me now that he had the window as 10-12. I told him it was clear LVH didn't want or need my business and I'd never received apology for the multiple errors. Nothing about my experience with this company was professional. I requested for a handy man to come out to give me a quote about a week ago. I call three days ago asking if a quote was ready for me to review, I was told they had to call the handyman and get back to me. 30mins or so later I get a call back saying he needs three more days to get a quote on a screen window. I'm beyond blown away how slow everyone is moving. As a business is it not your main goal to make money??? How are you tho if I'm having to chase you around to get the job done. They will email quotes, call before they arrive, and come when they are supposed to. I've have Steve come to the house several times and have been extremely satisfied with his work. Recently we completed a big job where he installed ceiling fans in all of our bedrooms which required new wiring and crawling around in the attic. We had this company repair a damage on a banister and wall. That time they did such a good job that we called them when our shower handle leaked. The guy did an ok job in so far that our handle works and doesn't leak BUT the water is reversed and the way the handle works is funny. Somehow, I think we should have called a plumbing company.
