I was concerned enough to shut off the gas, but Chance called me back immediately because that style of heater doesn't beep. He patiently helped me troubleshoot over the phone, eventually realizing the sound was actually a nearby carbon monoxide detector I'd unplugged but left the battery in! For over two years, our water usage was so high that we were in danger of being fined. It was a real challenge trying to determine that problem. We hired a leak detection company who found ONE leak which we addressed. Then we had a plumber install a cut off valve to the water line leading to the sprinkler system. Another plumber swore that the problem is NOT in the sprinkler system, but every time we turn off that valve, our water usage dropped considerably. He quoted us an incredibly high estimate to fix the problem that wasn't. We were at wit's end, reeling from the expenses we've incurred thus far that didn't completely address the real problem and the final solution. Fortunately, our neighbor referred us to Chance of Pipe Dreams who immediately identified the root cause. He has resolved similar problems in our neighborhood, so he knew exactly what needed to be done. He proposed a solution that was infinitely smarter and cost a fraction of what the others quoted. Our water heater died two weeks ago. After a quick and extensive research, I decided to message Pipe Dreams Plumbing on yelp. Almost immediately, I had received emails, texts and a call from owner Chance -- and in 15 minutes, he arrived to assess the situation and scheduled the new water installation as soon as the water filtration tanks next to the water heater were temporarily disconnected and moved by the water purification company. we had a problem with our bathtub faucet [leaky drip], sink [clogged aerator], and toilet [broken chain]. we called at 10:30 friday and were able to get someone in for repair by 11:30 ... the person who took my call gave me a ballpark idea of what was likely happening, which was helpful to conceptualize how busy of a fix this was going to be. michael came in and was very respectful since we have a 7 day old newborn; b/c the intake phone call was efficient, he had all the equipment he would need. he wasnt able to fix the sink but he did loosen it and showed me how the aerator was broken so i could get a new one. $450 for a same-day fix before the weekend. now we have a new go-to plumber; thank you! read more
