Rand Jordan came to my property to help me determine if hot water heater was source of my $285 electric bill. I could write a long story but short of it is he noticed that my pump was running the entire time we were talking, 30 minutes, and he suggested that we unplug the recirculating pump and see what happens. This company did a single line reroute on a property in one day, they pulled permit, and did a great job no issues, it was the most expensive estimate my manager received, however... At the same time the tech also installed a shut off valve and pressure reducer for an added cost. After soldering directly above a black poly line, that line started to leak! The owner told the Manager that the leak was due to weather. (Ha) The company agreed to do a reduced cost spot repair on the main line. The sad thing is they installed the valve box on top of the dirt, it's so high that whenever the lid is opened, the box falls over causing dirt and rocks to fall in, it looks very unprofessional. I noticed a leak point at a shower faucet over the weekend. I contacted Plumbing Kings via the Yelp "Request a Quote" feature, but because it was not an emergency and PK is closed on Sunday, I decided that it could wait until Monday morning. At the opening time of their business, I received a response via Yelp 'Request a Quote' texting feature from the company, and I called and spoke with Amanda. I requested Tyler for the estimate (and potential work order) as he has done exceptional work on two other plumbing jobs at my house within the past year (toilet flush valve, replacement of a sink faucet, and angle stop valves replacements). Tyler is professional, knowledgeable, skilled, personable, and I trust his expertise. Amanda provided me with Tyler's work number so I could text with him directly about the leak issue. I texted him pictures of the leak as well as short video showing the leak in action. Based on the pictures and short video I texted to him, he was able to provide me with an idea of a couple of things that it could be, as well as a ballpark estimate via text. I did realize that it was based on the images and video I sent to him, and that final diagnosis would be more accurate with an in-person estimate. There is a charge for an in-person estimate, but it was explained to me over the phone by Amanda that the fee would be rolled into the work if I decided to choose PK for the job. I felt the estimate texted to me was reasonable (on par with what I found online and to be within an estimate average range). I then called PK back and spoke with Lori to schedule an appointment to have Tyler fix the leak. He had same day morning availability! Tyler arrived, fixed the leak issue, took care of the paperwork (carbon copy form, and I received a copy), I paid by credit card, and he emailed me the receipt for the credit card payment. I recently visited Las Vegas to help a friend with his newly acquired condo. The plumbing in the condo was almost unusable. Toilets badly damaged, shower fixtures corroded, both kitchen and bathroom sinks damaged. All the plumbing looked like the last time it was installed was when Joe Biden wore short pants. Every faucet, fixture, etc had seen better days. So to address this dire need, I searched Yelp for a plumber. I called a couple of the highest rated plumbers, but being that I was only there for the weekend, I needed a plumber immediately to arrange for all the plumbing to be replaced. DIY'er here. Normally I wouldn't call for help but I came home from an extended vacation to find the hot water within the shower valve clogged. For 10 days I took a cold shower until I thought, "You know, this is probably really going to suck once it gets cooler out." So I tried to repair the issue myself. Initially, I had done everything right until I realized I probably should use fire to break this cartridge free from the valve. So until I could take a trip to Home Depot to pick up a torch I decided I would put it back together. This is where I F'ed up. The fiberglass wall had flexed outward which made replacing all the itty bitty pieces a pain in the butt. So I thought "let me just use a vice grip to grab the brass shower valve and bend it outwards." This worked... until it didn't, lol. I snapped the brass piece clean off leaving me with no possible way to turn the shower on ever again. Being blind to the "know how" of this exact shower valve and cartridge assembly I thought I might be f'ing something up and that instead of breaking my spirit down more I figured I'd look up a plumber at this point. Google searched: "HELP ME! I BROKE MY SHOWER VALVE" lead me to yelp and "Plumbing Kings", which was one of the first with the highest ratings. Tainted from fake five star reviews before, I spent a long time, probably longer than necessary, reading their reviews and researching other companies. I had made appointments with three other companies to get an estimate. Then this morning I met with Plumbing Kings. I knew right away I want these guys to fix my problem. Not only were Tyler and John knowledgeable but they had this confident, cool vibe about them that made you want to chill with them at a bbq or play guitar with them. They explained what had to be done, told me it'll probably smell and that I should open my windows, and then got to work. They were in and out of here in under an hour and the best part? This would be a 1 star review but I'm adding a star for the person who answered my initial call to schedule my appointment. She made scheduling the appointment easy. Everything goes downhill after that. I will start by saying that my regular plumber referred me here when he could not help me due to recently breaking his foot. The services I needed were water heater flush and anode rod replacement and a new cartridge installed in my shower. My regular plumber instructed me to contact Moen to get the cartridge for free and then I scheduled my appointment. Jordan arrived around 3:30 pm yesterday and went over the services we were requesting. I showed him the part from Moen and advised that I wasn't sure if it was the correct part and showed him where our shower controls were leaking from. He quoted us $479 for both services. This seemed high but since he was already here and we needed our leaking shower fixed, we agreed to the charges. When Jordan was all done, he advised that the part we provided was not the correct part to fix the leak but that he had replaced it anyway and that we should contact Moen again to try and get the correct part. I wasn't too happy with the fact that he decided to replace the part that wasn't broken which costed us $175 in labor. Now, I have to either pay $175 again when the correct part arrives or figure out how to do it myself. Now for the water heater... I noticed last night that none of the hot water was working in our bathroom sinks. Our shower pressure was also not the same as before the tank flush. I had called to get back on the schedule for someone to come back out today to try and fix the issue. The girl who took my call seemed annoyed that I would call at all. My husband spent a couple of hours troubleshooting today and found A LOT of sediment gunked up in our hot water lines for both sinks and behind our shower head. It would have been nice for Jordan to make sure everything was working satisfactory before he left the house last night. I unfortunately cannot recommend this business. I cannot wait for my regular plumber's broken foot to heal so that I can go back to not feeling like I got ripped off. read more

I highly recommend Plumbing Kings for any plumbing needs. My Roman tub on the second floor had no hot water so I took it upon myself to find the appropriate mixing valve and replace the old one. The existing lines are 1/2 inch but I unfortunately made the mistake of getting a mixing valve that would be compatible with 3/4 inch pipe only. I have had a lot of issues with finding a good plumber and I live in an older house so plumbing is kinda an issue at times. Smaller pipes mean more hydro jetting, I've had pipes replaced, problems with shoddy work over the years, crappy valves, etc. This time I was demoing a shower and knew I had a backwards p-trap (from some shoddy work by previous owners). I was able to get a quote and get the work done same day. We did the demoing work to the pipes so saved a bit of money there. Not sure if it was the best deal as we were under time constraints and didn't really shop around. They also charge $75 for the trip so if I didn't go with them then I'd be out that money (or no fee if I got the work done). This is probably the only reason I found another plumber for a later job. I'm not sure how I feel about paying a fee for a quote but know it's becoming more mainstream.
