O can't say enough of the fast, friendly and overall great service I got from Hips plumbing! I have an older house that needs a little work here and there. Some projects I can take care of myself and some I can't. Plumbing is one of them. The front of the house has a faucet that, well I can't explain what they were thinking when they installed it (see before pics). Now the faucet work, no leaks just odd placement and fixture. I wanted to get it replaced and asked for some quotes so I hopped on Yelp and got 5 plumbers to come out and give me a quote. Some quotes where a little higher then what I was planning and one was way out there -- they wanted to cap the hose and install a new line --- no thank you! Decided on Hips plumbing for two reasons: very friendly knowledgeable staff and price. Now price: they listened to what I wanted and don't try to upsell me on things o don't need and their prices for parts were reasonable. Once we agreed to a date and time, their plumber came out and institute new hose and faucet (I know there is a fancier term they used but I can't remember what it is). I scheduled them to replace an igniter for a water heater on demand, I offered all the information including pictures and told them exactly what I needed replaced. Unit had a code 11 for a busted igniter. Technician came out and sent me an invoice for $195 for a diagnostic I already offered before he showed up and he recommended to replace a fairly new water heater on demand for $4535 instead of replacing the Igniter. When I told him I only want to replace the igniter he got mad and the hang up on me. I called him back and he refused to replace the igniter without charging for the diagnostic. They have excellent reviews online, I was shocked how unprofessional he could be. I did find a different company to replace it for $200 read more

I have a condo in Las Vegas. Received a call from our HOA that there was a small leak/drip in the run off valve/pipe outside the unit below me and they thought it might be due to an issue with my water heater. After thoroughly assessing the issue and checking my neighbors water heater as well, we determined it was my unit and the pressure valve was the culprit. Hips is AWESOME! Another Las Vegas plumbing company had told me that they couldn't fix a leak and would need to rip open my shower wall to replace a shower valve ($2,300+!!!). Eduardo examined the valve and was able to fix it, without the need for a new one. He also fixed the main pressure regulator, which had failed. Had a leak from the master shower upstairs. Company came out, opened up the ceiling, cleaned everything up. Called Hips. Scheduled immediately. Carlos came out the next morning. He took a look, told me what the cause was and gave two options for repair along with estimates. I chose the permanent fix. Carlos took care of it right then. He replaced the gasket and lengthened the pipe to the pea trap (which was not long enough when built causing a slow drip over the years). Carlos was amazing, professional, personable, knowledgeable. He explained everything from start to finish, doubled checked to make sure the problem was corrected. I couldn't be happier. The whole process with Hips was painless and very quick. Price was excellent and the quality of work was near perfection. Carlos wasn't "a plumber" fixing my leak. He was more like your brother, who's a plumber, coming by and fixing your problem. We got a leak in the main water line to the house a few months ago. We managed to do a temporary patch that allowed more time for getting quotes for repair, which due to the material used years ago, a new line needed to be ran and a fix was off the table. I found out from 4 neighbors nearby that they all used Hips to run their new main service line and had recommended Hips to me. Kyle came put and gave me detailed info about the work and wrote up the estimate. Work was started a couple days later and completed in less than a day, They completed everything they communicated verbally and on the estimate. Very professional. Best price from all our quotes! I would have been leary of that, but since my neighbors don't have any issues and are happy with the end result, Hips made the most sense financially and gave me the sense of trust we all look for. I thought I had a slab leak so scheduled an appointment with Hips via their website which I found to be very convenient. They were quite responsive and their tech Kyle came out the next morning, evaluated the problem and assured me there wasn't a leak under the floor and the most likely source was a problem with a valve in my washer. And at no charge for the evaluation! Like I've seen other Yelp reviewers mention the Hips plumber (Kyle) was knowledgeable, professional and quite personable. I opened the door to the garage to go to the store and heard this water noise. My water heater had rusted through and the water was draining out of the garage and down the driveway. I called a company I had before and they were closed. Yelp came through again. I did a search and picked two places that had many reviews and high overall rating! Who you gonna' call? Call Hips Plumbing!!! The woman I spoke to said she would have a tech on the way and in less than an hour, Tyler arrived in the Pips Mobile. He began to drain the last of the water from the failed water heater and to disassemble the old one. Lake Mead water is very hard on water heaters. Generally if you get 5 years out of a water heater, you should be expecting a failure at any time. This one lasted 6 years for me. Tyler quoted me a price. I accepted and he went to work. Watching him was of great interest to me because I used to do soldering of pipes installing water well pumps with my father's business many years ago. Everything was done properly and I could tell Tyler was very experienced at what he was doing. He was also very sure to do everything the way it should be without cutting any corners. In less than an hour, the installation was done. Everything was cleaned up and it was like no one had done any work in the garage unless you looked at the water heater. The last time I had to go with the serviceman to Home Depot to buy the new water heater he would install Not with Hips. Everything was in the Hips Mobile and ready to have the problem fixed. In August of 2023 (yes, this review is wayyyy overdue) HIP'S did a major repair on a toilet that was clogged by roots. They did a great job for a reasonable price. I had a previously purchased slow-close toilet seat. After they were finished with the first toilet I asked them if they could replace the toilet seat in another bathroom with the new one I had. (I am handicapped with limited use of one hand). They obliged. Charge: $125. I thought that was too much. That is why I'm giving them 3 stars instead of 5. Get their estimate on anything you ask them to do, so you won't be shocked. read more

I found my plumbers! I actually did a stupid amount of research into all the local plumbers/companies before I finally decided on Hips. I was not wrong! So far they have been great! I put in a request through Google and they called me SO quickly to get more info and was even able to get someone out to me that same day! The receptionist was very kind and thorough! Our shower is old and somehow the lever started squeaking and now needs to be turned UPSIDE DOWN in order to turn off lol. Our tub spout was also crazy old and calcified 59487 times over so the diverter was really hard to pull for our showers. Our plumber Kyle was able to not only fix the lever by replacing some cartridge thing but also change out the tub spout with a nice brand new one that matched the metal finish in our bathroom! Also he was really clean! He totally had shoe covers to come into our very Asian, no shoes inside home. He made sure everything was nice and clean before leaving too! They are very reasonably priced as well! They can email you a link to pay online after the service too which is very convenient! They also do offer military discounts! I totally forgot to ask until AFTER I paid online. Oops. It's ok. I'm sure I'll be calling on them for other things in the future. After I realized my blunder and asked them if they even offer it, the office manager person was very kind and put a note in our file for the military discount when we have future visits! I will most likely hire them in the future to change out our kitchen sink so I'll update and let you guys know how that goes! read more

There is a reason way Hips Plumbing has almost a perfect Yelp score with hundreds of raving reviews. Nick, my tech, did not disappoint. He showed up promptly, was super courteous, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in less than 30 minutes. My kitchen sink was clogged with eggs shells and onion skin. I had no idea that such things are horrible for your garbage disposal and pipes. My P Drain was apparently clogged, but Nick took care of it. He left no mess. Price was substantially less than I had anticipated: only $150, and the issue was resolved just 15 hours after I made first contact with Hips. It's so nice when you find go to service companies or person, especially on the first try: the best dry cleaner, dentist, hair stylist, mechanic, or car detailer. Hips is on my list. Ask for Nick. He is as nice as he is skilled, which is a high standard. Hips Plumbing earned our respect two years ago when they helped us with a low water pressure issue. It was such a minor problem that they didn't even charge us for the call. So, when we decided we needed to move the water heater in our casita from its attic location to the first floor, we called on Hips.
