I usually prefer going to the gym, and had never tried a boxing workout, but decided to go for it! First off, he warned me to bring lots of water and a towel. Boy was he right! As soon as you walk into the spot, you can break a sweat right there! They like to keep it warm inside, so if this is your first time boxing, you might have to step outside and take a breather! Haha! The workout was an hour long. I like how we warmed up first outside and got our blood flowing. As you walk inside, the trainers explain to you the equipment and what you will be doing that day. Me for instance, I've never ever boxed before, so of course I asked a bunch of questions, how my form was, how to box, etc. The trainers were so nice and helpful. I enjoyed practicing on the bags, getting in the ring, and having fun. The workout you get is very intense, and totally worth it! I will definitely be back for some more training sessions!

A small fitness studio inside a house in FTL!…read more You read that right, a house! I came here to workout with my cousin as a different type of hangout. Rather than getting lunch or coffee, we chose to workout together. It's a great way to even out all the restaurants I want to try! She bought a class pass ($99 for 5 classes) here so I opted to buy one class ($10) to hangout with her. When driving here, you actually park at the Red Lobster right next to it. Once you park, you enter through a gate and The Office 954 is right there! The classes range from burning your accessory muscles (ouch) to boxing cardio to flow with yoga. We did the burn class which is by far the most painful class I have ever taken; a good burn that is. The instructor keeps you motivated and each class is limited to maybe 12 people (?) max as this studio is extremely small with just one room. This intimate workout is amazing for locals who really want that small class, personal trainer experience. I had the pleasure to workout with Jamie, the owner, as the instructor for our class. After our intense workout, she was extremely welcoming and told us a little more about her studio, how it came to be, and the things she has available within the studio. She told me she was going to start a collection of wellness books that clients can check out for $5 to borrow, read, and return. This gym is very different than many traditional gyms and gives that welcoming, personal trainer feeling. It's a breath of fresh air. If I lived closer and could afford this studio, I would definitely be back!

My son recently became interested in wrestling, and this gym offers the MOCCA program for both boys…read moreand girls of all ages. Practices are held three evenings a week, and you can either pay per session or purchase a monthly pass. For first-time participants, they provide wrestling shoes, but if your child plans to continue, it's definitely worth investing in a pair. The facility itself is impressive. The building is enormous, with three full-size wrestling mat areas, a raised wrestling ring, a large fitness area with equipment, locker rooms, and an uncomfortable seating area for parents. They also have a water bottle refill station, which is much appreciated because the kids work incredibly hard. My son was absolutely exhausted by the end of practice. The class structure, however, could be improved for beginners. Everyone starts together with about 15 minutes of warm-ups, followed by a demonstration of a wrestling move. After that, the younger wrestlers move to another mat and pair off to practice. One challenge for first-time families is that it's difficult to identify who the instructors are. Having coaches wear identifiable shirts would make it much easier to know who to approach with questions. I also felt that the techniques introduced were fairly advanced for newcomers. It would be helpful to start with simpler fundamental moves while spending more time explaining the purpose and mechanics behind each technique. Every 10 minutes or so, a whistle brings everyone back together for another demonstration before they rotate back to practicing. This cycle repeats several times before open wrestling begins. For beginners, I would probably recommend sitting out the open wrestling portion. Wrestlers are paired rather freely, and it can be overwhelming for someone attending their first few practices. Overall, I think the program would benefit from offering a dedicated beginner class before introducing new wrestlers into the regular sessions. That said, one thing that really stood out was how welcoming and encouraging the older participants were. Many of them took the time to help the younger wrestlers learn the techniques, creating a supportive atmosphere that made the experience a positive one despite the steep learning curve.

Also I learned during the first class that I couldn't even do 1 regular push-up. But I kept going and one day told myself when I could do 5 push-ups I'd treat myself to red boxing gloves. So as I went I got stronger and stronger and after 6 weeks I owned the red gloves. The classes are an hour and go pretty fast. The 15 min is a warmup which is harder than any workout I had done previously. The next part is the bags and you end with partner exercises. This is THE FRIENDLIEST gym I have ever been too. I feel like I'm part of a family. They keep the place spotless too. And most importantly: it's totally shaped me in ways that other types of workouts hasn't. You will not get bored for sure! Now, I don't live in Florida full time, I'm only in Florida a couple months out of the year. I got an ad on Instagram while I was there for the 6week transformation challenge so I reached out and went in for a consultation with the manager and ended up signing up for what I thought was the 6weeks program. In this program it included a "nutrition plan" that ended up just being one page with what I should eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a page that looked like was put together in 5minutes and printed out. The class itself was great, the trainer was awesome but I ended up not going for the full 6weeks because I got sick that month and was ok with losing the money since it was not their fault I got sick. Well, it turned out that they kept my credit card on file and have been charging me $169/month ever since for a membership I never signed up for. I have reached out to the manager and she never replied to my last message. I feel scammed and they are not conducting good business practice. I do not recommend.
