We've started using the service recently for walks and feedings when we're at work…read more The intake process with Kiira and online was very smooth. It was easy to schedule a "meet and greet" with Amy and Andrew, who are visiting our two dogs (a quiet 9-year old and a 5-year old with attitude; both sighthounds) about 3 times a week. Since then Amy and Andrew have taken care of our pups for the past month or so. They are both responsible and have the kind of calm personality that all dogs feel comfortable being around. They've followed all our instructions, provided very detailed updates and pictures, and taken good care of our doggies. So far I am very pleased with the service. We love our dogs like children and feel good about entrusting Amy and Andrew with their care.

Kat was reliable, efficient, and immediately struck up a trusting connection with our 'boys'. It was challenging work for her, because she had to administer an inhaler treatment twice a day to one of the cats, Marlow, despite not having known him before. She did an absolutely wonderful job. He was actually in better shape and coughing less, after we came home than before we left. Both cats looked happy and relaxed. The cat area was left clean and tidy. I will look no further next time we need cat care. We also loved the photos and updates we got each day....it helped us relax much better while away!

Seeing the other reviewer having similar issues back in 2015, I decided to share as a caution. We left two young lab mixes happy and healthy, and at the end of the week, they came back dusty, sad, and dejected. No sign of walks and playtime we've signed up for. When we called while we were away, it was hard to reach them. When we came to pick them up, we waited for a long time because no one was at the front. Turned out, a young girl (college age maybe) was passed out sleeping on the tall back chair, didn't know ppl were there, turned around facing the counter got up and said, "sorry I need to check on the dog I left drying." After she was fully awake, she (and I) went to get the dogs. The kennels were dark, blowing all kinds of dog hair and dust, and dogs on bare floor, unsupervised. Dogs sleeping on cold bare floor also wasn't nice (no blanket policy). It was sad to see a place for beloved pet family run that way, especially after a nice tour we had before we decided on this place. Seems like it improved based on recent reviews. Hope it continues that trajectory.

I have two little dogs who are seniors, and I am always comfortable leaving them with the staff at this kennel. I picked the dogs up after a 9 day stay and was taken through the kennels to an attached outdoor yard to bring in one of my dogs. This was impromptu, and I was very impressed with the cleanliness of all the areas, as well as my dogs having time to run around while their kennel was being cleaned. I highly recommend this kennel to all dog owners.

The first time the cashier had accidentally scanned the code below mine and I got the refund. When I checked the receipt again, I saw she charged me for 15 large crickets when I purchased 15 mediums. I thought the customer service and store were HORRIBLE! I highly recommend you go ELSEWHERE!…read more My wife, Lisa, is in home hospice because of pancreatic cancer with not very much time left. She enjoys her bedside 5 and 31/2 gal aquariums to watch the fish and take her mind off things. Unfortunately, 3 goldfish we have had for about 5 years died in our 5-gal. tank, so I wanted to replace them fast for Lisa's sake. I went to the Petco in Eldersburg thinking a popular nationwide chain store was the best place to buy them. I spoke to a rep and selected a small coby cat for Lisa's 3-1/2 gal. tank. I then asked for the 3 replacements of fantail goldfish and explained the situation. She said she had to check something, then returned a few minutes later. She said the mgr. told her she could not sell the goldfish to me because the 3 goldfish (and no others) should be kept in at least a 10-gal. tank and would not survive in my smaller aquarium. I explained that I have had aquariums for nearly 60 years since childhood and have never heard that. Fish will only grow as large as the size of the tank will permit. I used the example of plants only growing as large as the pot for the same reason. I also said that my last 3 goldfish did very well in 5 gal, with the 3 other fish for the past 5 years (6 total). She just would not listen to me. I got the strong impression that she frankly didn't care what I said. The conversation was very civil, but most frustrating and unsatisfying. So, I went to look at other fish that would meet the rep's 5-gal size parameters that might quickly satisfy Lisa somehow. I found the prices to be very high, and two whole sections of aquariums were dark and quarantined which offput me with that large amount of dying or sick fish. I waited over 40 minutes for the rep to return, seeing her helping one other customer with fish for all that time. No saying "I'll help you shortly" or asking another rep to help me even though I saw several other reps wandering around the store who just pretty well ignored me. Having spent nearly an hour, I gave up. plopped my coby on the counter and told the cashier that I could not wait for almost an hour to buy 4 fish. I then found out about another area "small business" pet store and visited there in order to hurriedly provide my wife some much-needed tranquility. Customer service and store appearance was WONDERFUL. They guided me immediately to the aquarium section, stood by all the time it took to make my selections, helped with questions promptly and knowledgeably, and quickly gathered the fish for my purchase. I asked about the so-called tank restrictions, and he agreed exactly with what I tried to explain to the Petco rep. about size of tank limits the growth of fish Unlike Petco, this store was clean and not smelly, and better organized. My costs were about 25% less than Petco, with much healthier fish. I will be writing a favorable review as soon as I post this horrible one about Petco. I WILL NEVER go to Petco again! For a $3 billion company in annual sales, and nearly 1,600 locations - I cannot conceive the lousy service I got. How do they survive? NEVER AGAIN - and I am advising other "fish" seniors in our assisted living apartments to do the same and WHY! (as well as anyone else who might consider buying ANYTHING there for any pet!)
